Level up is hard? I can Directly Purchase infinite Levels!-Chapter 60: Elite-Level Kills Master-Level?
In addition, there were the various combat techniques and skill scrolls obtained—another huge surprise.
Though some of the techniques overlapped, none of them were anything but powerful methods.
The key was that techniques like these, which could be imprinted and preserved, had no bloodline restrictions. This meant that even human armies could study them!
This was one of the main sources for humans to acquire combat techniques.
However, what Raine valued most were the Thousand Thunders and Judgment Spear obtained from the Thunderclan genius. Their power was incredibly terrifying!
He had already begun to master the power of lightning through the Thunder Arbiter skill, and studying these combat techniques would greatly enrich his offensive methods!
The reason the battle had been so brutal was partly because his methods of attack were relatively single-minded. Once the enemy figured out his patterns, they were able to mount a targeted counterattack.
Among these combat techniques, there were also two techniques related to movement: Lightstep and Flowstep, which were highly useful for dodging and chasing in actual combat.
There were a total of twelve transcendent weapons.
And there were also all kinds of anomalous materials and gemstones.
Similar to the griffon scroll used earlier, there were six consumable skill scrolls. It seemed some of these had been used during the pursuit of Arlis.
Finally, Raine picked up Bruce’s storage ring.
This ring had the largest internal space, and the items inside were the most valuable.
The number of potions was enormous—there were plenty of high-grade soul tonics, King’s Power potions, and Holy Healing potions.
Especially the soul tonics—there were as many as eleven bottles!
The anomalous flora was dazzling.
The most peculiar item was something sealed in a rune-encrusted box.
Curious, Raine opened it, and an overwhelming life force surged out!
He quickly closed it, but the faint scent of life energy that escaped caused the withered grass in the corner of the tent to spring back to life, growing even greener!
"What terrifying life regeneration... What is this?" Raine thought, stunned.
[Ding! Sapling from the World Tree. Can be used to construct the Divine Seed embryo or enhance the source of life.]
The system’s notification chimed in just at the right moment.
Raine was momentarily stunned—he hadn’t expected the system to have an identification function.
He focused his mental energy and looked at the detailed information.
The World Tree—that was a legendary divine item!
He immediately took out the Dragon Blood Grass and the Tricolor Orchid along with other items.
[Dragon Blood Grass: Contains vast blood energy and life essence. Can greatly enhance physical strength and replenish the source of life.]
[Tricolor Orchid: Contains tremendous harmonizing power, can stabilize chaotic energy, and can be used to construct the Divine Seed embryo.]
The information on each item delighted Raine.
Many seemingly ordinary plants and ores turned out to be rare treasures.
He continued checking the other contents of Bruce’s ring.
One of the biggest surprises was the lesser Divine Relic: Thunder Prison Blade!
This was a Divine Relic beyond the transcendent weapon class. A charged strike could sever even a supreme transcendent weapon.
If he could master it and combine it with temporary rank advancement, his combat and survival capabilities would see a qualitative leap!
At this thought, he glanced at several scrolls inside the ring.
These were powerful legacies that Bruce had mastered.
One of them was a rare movement technique, and there were several mighty lightning combat skills.
The movement technique was called Thunder Light!
There was only one scroll, but Raine had already experienced Bruce’s speed firsthand and valued it highly.
There were several combat techniques that also appeared in other Thunderclan geniuses’ rings, but there was one that was clearly unique to Bruce, and its power description was extremely terrifying.
Void Thunder!
This art could summon thunder to fight. It required a deep understanding of the thunder element, and usually, only those at the Master level could begin to study it.
There was also one final major discovery: the Thunderclan bloodline talent, Thunder Arbiter!
The reason the Thunderclan had ascended to royalty was closely tied to this incredibly powerful talent!
Once Thunder Arbiter is mastered, it can communicate with the thunder elements to construct a Thunder Colossus!
When Bruce performed his final attack, Raine had caught a glimpse of that magnificent Thunder Colossus.
He had chosen to fight to the death, in large part because that attack was so terrifying!
Terrifying enough that he had no doubt he would die!
But now, all of this had become Raine’s to take.
Though he was only at the Elite level right now, as long as he had enough bloodstone, he could temporarily raise his rank high enough to wield these terrifying combat skills!
"To gain so many resources at once, this is enough to support my advancement for quite a long time," Raine thought with delight.
Bloodstone was his ultimate trump card for fighting above his rank and turning the tide in dire situations.
He glanced at the system panel and saw his bloodstone count.
[Bloodstone: 55,780]
The recent battles had consumed more than 100,000 bloodstones, but the rewards had been plentiful.
This meant that, in addition to the bloodstones obtained from slaying several alien race geniuses and beasts, he had gained several thousand more bloodstones.
The accumulation speed would only increase as he faced stronger opponents.
Though the cost of temporarily advancing in rank escalated with higher levels, the rewards from slaying powerful enemies skyrocketed as well.
He categorized and organized all the resources, then transferred the important items into Bruce’s largest storage ring.
The other rings were to be left for Kyle and the others.
After finishing all this, he began to channel the Obsidian Golem Codex to fully heal his remaining internal injuries.
...
In the Iron Dragon Fortress, in the ruling hall.
"What?!" Garson exclaimed, his voice filled with shock as he heard Herbert’s report.
His one eye was filled with disbelief!
Beside him, Captains Yarna, Andrew, and the others were all visibly shaken, unable to believe their ears.
Even the figure beside Garson, wearing black-gold armor, had a surprised expression.
To their astonishment, it was Hegros, who had been missing since the high ground battle!
"The alien race geniuses... it wasn’t Arlis’s final counterattack that killed them?" Hegros’s voice was filled with disbelief. He knew exactly what such an achievement represented.
He couldn’t believe that a new recruit like Raine could have done it...
It wasn’t that he was looking down on Raine—it was just that this situation seemed too outlandish to be true.
"It was him who admitted it in person!" Herbert’s tone was serious.
Yarna, who had been about to question whether Raine had exaggerated or lied, swallowed the words before they came out.
Since Arlis was still alive, there was no reason for Raine to fabricate such a lie.
"Captain Tom’s view is that..." Herbert continued, "Once the Gargoyle and Soul Devourer races confirm this, they are likely to come after Raine at all costs."
"He requests that you seek support from the rear, and bring in powerful patrol members to bolster the defense, to ensure safety."
Garson and Hegros exchanged a glance, immediately understanding the severity of the situation.
But even they were still stunned. How had Raine managed to do all this?
Herbert went on, "That brat isn’t the type to lie."
"And when the battlefield was inspected earlier, Vice-Captain Aaron found weapon fragments belonging to Raine, including the spear he took from Narkus."
"He truly has a secret technique that allows him to temporarily boost his rank!"
Andrew added in a timely manner, "I’ve seen this technique too—it’s similar to a forbidden art that burns life potential. But the strange thing is, he doesn’t seem to have suffered any serious damage from it."
He looked at Garson, his tone serious. "Lord Garson, if all of this is true, then Raine might very well be a born prodigy!"
"If this is the case, the implications for our eastern defenses will be entirely different. It’s imperative that we request support immediately, and preferably... alert the human council at the highest level!"
