Delilah quickly assessed the situation and formulated a plan, "Lord, they know how to work together. You have to split them up into little groups if you want to take them down easily."

"I was getting to that part," Roy said as he refilled his inner world by taking a deep breath and hefted his other sword with his right hand, feeling its weight increase to a staggering 14 tons as it devoured his aura like a hungry ghost.

"Have a taste of this," Roy said to the incoming monsters, the air around him crackling with energy as he swung the purplish sword, unleashing a powerful gust of wind that sent several of the monsters flying backward like rag dolls

As for those unlucky monsters on which the heavy purplish black landed, their bodies burst apart like balloons. The onlookers got to witness a shower of blood and gore.

『Ding! Congratulation. You have killed 63 Humanoid Fish. You gained 63 thousand experience points and 24 shards of water!』

Roy remained focused on the next wave of river monsters.

While Roy was busy dealing with the river monsters in front of him, two humanoid fish dug their way out of the ground and launched their deadly tridents at him. Roy's sixth sense tingled, but he was embroiled in a fierce battle and too busy to respond to it.

Ding! Ding!

Just as it looked like he was done for, Delilah appeared out of nowhere and smacked the tridents away. She teleported again, her lithe figure disappearing and reappearing behind the confused humanoid fishes.

Before the humanoid fishes could even comprehend what was happening, Delilah plunged her daggers into their necks. The creatures let out a piercing shriek, their souls ripped from their unholy flesh.

She gained two thousand exp for finishing them off and also a chance to look cool in front of her crush.

"I have your back. Anyone who dares to assassinate you will die by my hands," she stated as Roy moved his swords around, slicing and dicing a dozen river monsters every moment.

"I will entrust you with the task of guarding my blind spot," Roy said, grateful for her help.

At that moment, Shadowless appeared, unleashing a barrage of bullets and bombs made of mana. The enemies were caught off guard, their ranks decimated by his overwhelming attacks. "I will provide cover!"

How could he miss the chance to impress his creator?

The number of monsters that emerged from the river was halved in less than a minute, and the shore was dyed red with the blood pooling beneath the carcasses.

"Thunder! Lightning! Spare none of them!" Roy ordered two of the three self-created swords that were currently in his possession. The last one was with Delilah.

As if possessed by a will of their own, the swords flew toward the remaining members of the small army of river monsters. One moved with the speed of lightning, the other with the speed of thunder.

They blurred through the air, striking with unerring accuracy.

The monsters were caught off guard, unable to defend themselves or flee before the deadly onslaught washed over them.

They were no different than pigs waiting to be slaughtered as the swords, which were no different than rays of light in their eyes, pierced through them, one by one, leaving gaping holes in their heads and hearts.

『Ding! Congratulation. You have slain 40 medium-level Humanoid Fish. You gained 60 thousand EXP, and 30 shards of water!』

『Ding! Congratulation. You have smoked 20 high-level Humanoid Fish. You gained 80000 EXP, and 40 shards of water!』

"I have 99 shards of water. I only need one more, and I will gain the water manipulation skill." Roy thought with a smile playing on his lips.

He stood in the center of the carnage, his sweat and the enemies' blood running down his cheek. Delilah and Shadowless were beside him. They looked at each other and grinned.

"Good job, both of you!"

Although most of the work was done by Roy, Delilah's and Shadowless' contributions were eye-catching and couldn't be ignored.

"It was challenging to defeat an army of water creatures, but we did it."

Delilah passed the vibe check as she bumped her fist with Shadowless and Roy.

Roy felt like she was a keeper, but should he engage in polygamy? Wouldn't his Fated feel bad if he got another woman behind her back? He first wanted to feel the Female Siren's attitude before hooking up with another woman.

"Why are you looking at me so intensely?" Delilah asked as she became aware of his gaze.

He teasingly smiled and opened his mouth to say something, but the words at the tip of his tongue rolled back inside as he felt a sense of unease creeping up his body. It was as if his scalp was being poked by a tiny needle.

"Not again," he muttered as he turned to look at the river and sensed a fluctuation that only an aura monster could give.

"What's wrong?" Delilah asked.

"A big one is coming. This is a chance for you, Delilah. Look for an opportunity to land the final strike."

As soon as Roy's word fell, they heard a low growling sound from the water.

As Delilah turned around, a colossal creature, the very leader of the small army they had vanquished, surfaced from the river. It stood at an astounding height of 15 feet, its monstrous figure covered in scales and slime casting an ominous shadow over the trio.

With three piercing eyes that seemed to glare straight through her, the beast exuded a savageness that sent shivers down Delilah's spine.

Despite the menacing presence of the Lord, Shadowless remained unfaced. His creator had imbued him with only a select few emotions, and fear was not among them. In stark contrast, Delilah could not stop shaking in her boots.

Roy, on the other hand, felt threatened by the Lord of the River, but it wasn't to the point of trembling in fear.

"How dare you kill my servants, and it's not even a small amount?! You are begging to be killed!" The Lord of the River snarled at them after witnessing the carnage.
