Leveling Endlessly with the Strongest System!-Chapter 472 Lucas Vs Zarathas Part 2
It was called the "Universal Reverse Card," a potent formation that could drain half the power of an undead creature and transfer it to the master of the formation.
The formation was activated instantly, and the atmosphere crackled with intense energy. The forest trembled with a violent quake as the formation sprang to life, and Zarathas could feel the might of the formation bearing down on him.
Half of his strength vanished, and his smirk faded away with it. He realized that he was in trouble as Lucas's strength surged to extraordinary heights. From an initial stage aura grandmaster, he became an intermediate-stage aura grandmaster, and his strength seemed to still be rising.
'I can't give him the time to assimilate with the power he has sapped from me fully.' Zarathas thought as he rushed at Lucas with double his initial speed, burning all the blood in his body in the process. His body dried up, looking like a skeleton. He was hoping to end Lucas before he could become any more strong, but it was too late.
By the time Lucas was in his attacking range, Lucas was already an advanced-stage aura grandmaster.
With a swift sidestep, Lucas dodged to the side and landed a crushing blow to his adversary's ribcage.
Kuhak!
Zarathas was blown a thousand feet away. He crashed through many trees in the swamp, but he quickly regained his footing and looked at Lucas in fear!
Zarathas was left in utter disbelief after half his strength was mysteriously transferred to Lucas.
"H-how?!" Zarathas exclaimed. "There are no formation items in our surroundings. How did you set it up?!" His voice trembled with shock as he struggled to comprehend the scene before him. Despite searching high and low, he couldn't find a single item that could have been used to set up the formation. The mysterious arrangement seemed to have appeared out of thin air, leaving him mystified and perplexed and at the mercy of the very thing he considered a waste of space!
"The Universal Reverse Card formation is not like any normal formation. It doesn't require items like formation flags to be set up. No, it demands only one thing - human sacrifice. The twenty people, whom you have broken and inflicted torturous pain upon, but not killed, sacrificed themselves at their last breath to set it up. Their sacrifice is what enables the formation to come into existence, and it will become your doom," Lucas spoke to Zarathas with a glint of malice in his eyes.
Without warning, Lucas vanished from his original position. In a flash, he materialized right beside Zarathas and launched a flurry of stabs and slashes aimed at his opponent's vulnerable areas - his gut and head. The force behind each blow was tremendous, slicing through bone and organ alike with ease. Each inch of Zarathas's body was covered in Death Force, but Lucas's attack bypassed his defenses like a hot knife going through butter.
Lucas concluded the devastating combo with a final, powerful slash that cleaved Zarathas in two.
As Zarathas's body was torn apart, he struggled to stay conscious, but with a swift injection of blood from his reserve, he felt himself rejuvenated, his body growing whole in an instant. However, the cost of his quick healing was not insignificant, as it significantly depleted his blood bank. As he regained his bearings, he was confronted by Lucas, whose piercing gaze made him tremble with fear. In a moment of panic, Zarathas backed away from Lucas, retreating like a frightened kitten.
Lucas smirked at Zarathas's cowardly retreat.
"You're nothing without your precious blood, Zarathas. Your power is fleeting, just like your reserves. How does it feel to know that you're running on empty? That soon, you'll be nothing more than a weak and feeble creature devoid of any strength?" Lucas's taunting words landed like a heavy blow on Zarathas.
Zarathas tried to maintain his composure, but his heart was racing with fear and uncertainty. Without blood, he was nothing, and the only source of blood in the surroundings was Lucas, a being he couldn't defeat!
He felt exposed, vulnerable, and at the mercy of his opponent. Lucas's words had struck a nerve, tapping into a deep well of anxiety that he had buried beneath layers of bravado and self-assurance.
As the reality of his situation dawned on him, he knew that he needed to act fast if he wanted to survive this battle.
He gritted his teeth, steeling himself for the fight ahead, and took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart.
"Don't get too comfortable, Lucas," Zarathas growled. "You might have landed a few lucky strikes, but you're no match for me. You're just a bitch that claimed what's not yours. I will take it back from you, and then I will suck dry everyone you cherish, turning them into my strength!" Zarathas wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his fingers trembling with adrenaline. He felt a surge of power coursing through his veins, suppressing his fears and fueling his rage as he injected himself with all the blood left in his blood bank.
Huaaaaghh!
Zarathas let out a deafening growl, the kind that could make your heart skip a beat. He launched himself at Lucas, his massive wings creating a turbulent wind that ruffled Lucas' hair. Lucas, however, exposed a calm smile on his face that belied the intense battle brewing between them.
To Lucas, it was like watching a slow-motion movie. Zarathas was so slower than him that he could read his every move and precisely counter it.
He predicted the trajectory of his opponent's attack and deftly dodged to the side. As a result, Zarathas's fist hit empty air. Lucas took advantage of this opportunity to deliver a powerful uppercut that sent Zarathas hurtling through the air like a rag doll.
As Zarathas struggled to regain his footing in the air, Lucas seized the opportunity to strike again. He leaped into the air and brandished his weapon, his sword gleaming in the sunlight as it connected with Zarathas's face with a Thwack!
Thud!
The impact sent the demon hurtling downwards, his wings flapping frantically as he crashed into a nearby tree with a sickening thud.
