Life In The Limelight : The Depressed Boy Has 4 Yandere Girlfriends-Chapter 20: Next Girl
Chapter 20 - Next Girl
The following day, Holo found himself sitting at a small round table in the facility's dining hall. On either side of him were Trixie and Scarlet, their expressions unnervingly cheerful. He already had a feeling this wouldn't be a peaceful lunch, but he wasn't expecting what was about to unfold.
Trixie scooted closer to him, a mischievous grin on her face. "Here, Holo. Say 'ahh,'" she said, holding up a piece of meat on her fork and inching it toward his mouth.
Scarlet, not to be outdone, immediately grabbed a piece of her own food and leaned closer to him from the other side. "No, Holo. Try mine first. It's better," she said with a smirk, her fork hovering in front of his face.
Holo's face turned bright red as he looked back and forth between the two girls. "You don't have to—"
"Come on, don't be shy," Trixie interrupted, nudging her fork closer. "I made this just for you."
"Please," Scarlet said, her tone dripping with mock sweetness. "Do you really trust her cooking? Mine is clearly superior."
Holo hesitated, unsure of how to handle the situation. But as both girls leaned in closer, their expectant gazes practically burning holes into him, he decided to just give in. "Fine," he muttered, opening his mouth slightly.
Trixie was faster, slipping the piece of food into his mouth with a triumphant grin. "See? He loves it," she said smugly, turning to Scarlet.

Holo chewed and swallowed, his face still burning with embarrassment. "It's... good," he admitted, avoiding eye contact with both of them.
Scarlet's eyes narrowed, and she immediately pushed her fork toward him. "Now try mine," she demanded, her voice sharp.
Holo sighed but complied, taking the bite from Scarlet's fork. She watched him intently, her expression softening slightly as he chewed.
"Well?" she asked, a hint of nervousness in her tone.
"It's good too," Holo said honestly.
Scarlet smirked, sitting back in her chair. "Of course it is. I told you mine was better."
"Better? Ha!" Trixie scoffed, crossing her arms. "He only said it was good, not better. Don't twist his words."
"Oh, please," Scarlet shot back. "It's obvious he preferred mine. Just look at his face."
Holo glanced between them, his blush deepening as he realized they were about to start arguing. "It's fine. Both of your cooking is great," he said quickly, trying to diffuse the tension.
But his words only seemed to fan the flames.
"Great isn't enough," Trixie said, her eyes narrowing as she leaned forward. "Tell us whose is better, Holo. Be honest."
"Yeah," Scarlet added, crossing her legs and smirking. "Whose cooking would you want to eat every day?"
Holo froze, feeling trapped. He didn't want to upset either of them, but there was no way out of this without someone getting offended. "I... I don't know," he said weakly.
"Coward," Scarlet teased, though there was a playful edge to her tone.
Trixie huffed, sitting back in her chair. "Fine. You're off the hook. For now."
Holo let out a small sigh of relief, but his peace was short-lived.
"You know," Trixie said, a mischievous glint in her eyes, "it's not just about cooking. Being a good wife is about more than that."
Scarlet raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Oh? And what makes you think you'd be the better wife?"
Trixie grinned, resting her chin in her hand. "Well, for starters, I'm fun. I'd make Holo laugh every day. Plus, I'm great at keeping things exciting."
Scarlet rolled her eyes. "Exciting? Please. A good wife needs to be dependable, not some overgrown child. I'd provide Holo with stability and support. Something you clearly can't do."
"Stability?" Trixie mocked, her grin turning sharper. "You mean boring. Holo doesn't need someone to babysit him. He needs someone who can keep up with him."
"And you think that's you?" Scarlet shot back, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Holo deserves someone mature. Someone who can handle adult responsibilities."
"Oh, like you?" Trixie retorted. "You're just a manipulative drama queen who thinks she's better than everyone else."
"Better than you? Absolutely," Scarlet said with a smirk. "But let's not stop there. If we're talking about who's better for Holo, let's discuss who'd be the better partner in bed."
Holo nearly choked on his drink, his face turning a deep shade of crimson. "W-Wait, what?!"
Trixie's eyes widened for a moment before she burst out laughing. "Oh, you're on," she said, leaning forward. "Holo would obviously have more fun with me. I mean, look at me."
Scarlet scoffed. "Fun? That's your selling point? Holo doesn't need 'fun.' He needs someone who can actually please him."
"And you think you could do that?" Trixie shot back, raising an eyebrow. "I doubt you even know what to do."
"I could teach you a thing or two," Scarlet said smugly. "But let's face it, Holo deserves someone who can handle him."
Holo buried his face in his hands, wishing he could disappear. "Can we not talk about this?" he mumbled, his voice muffled.
"Why not?" Trixie said, grinning at him. "It's an important discussion."
"Exactly," Scarlet agreed, her tone teasing. "We need to figure out who's best suited for the role."
The two girls continued to bicker, their voices growing louder as they hurled playful insults at each other. Holo sat between them, his face burning with embarrassment as he tried to tune them out.
Eventually, they both turned to him, their eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Well, Holo?" Trixie asked, leaning closer to him. "Who do you think would be the better partner?"
"Yeah," Scarlet added, a sly smile on her lips. "We're waiting."
Holo groaned, slumping in his chair. "I'm not answering that."
The two girls exchanged a glance before bursting into laughter. "Fine," Trixie said, ruffling his hair. "We'll let you off the hook this time."
"But only because you're cute," Scarlet added, smirking.
Holo sighed, his face still red as the girls finally stopped arguing. Despite the chaos, a small part of him couldn't help but feel... wanted. As overwhelming as their attention could be, it was also oddly comforting.
Still, he hoped the rest of the day would be a little less eventful.
Holo sat between Trixie and Scarlet in the dining hall, still recovering from the chaos of lunch. The two girls, now seemingly at a truce, each held one of his arms, refusing to let go. Their possessiveness over him was as relentless as ever, but for the moment, there was a fragile peace.
That peace was quickly interrupted when the door opened, and Mr. Graves strode in with his usual air of authority. His sharp eyes swept over the room, landing squarely on Holo. The man's smirk widened as he approached, his presence immediately drawing everyone's attention.
"Ah, Holo," Graves said, clasping his hands behind his back. "Just the person I was looking for."
Holo shifted uncomfortably under Graves's gaze. "What is it?"
Graves's smirk didn't waver. "Your next assignment is ready. It's time for you to move on to Felicia."
The mention of Felicia's name caused an immediate reaction from Trixie and Scarlet. Trixie's grip on Holo's arm tightened, and she shot Graves a glare. "Absolutely not. No way."
Scarlet, on the other side, crossed her arms and frowned. "You can't send him to her. She's a degenerate."
Graves raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "A degenerate? That's a strong word."
"It's the truth," Trixie said firmly. "Felicia's a perverted freak who'll try to jump Holo the second she sees him."
"She'll do worse than that," Scarlet added, her tone icy. "She's a shameless pervert. Sending Holo to her is like throwing him to the wolves."
Graves chuckled, clearly unbothered by their protests. "I'm well aware of Felicia's... tendencies. But Holo has proven himself capable so far. I'm confident he can handle her."
Trixie turned to Holo, her eyes filled with worry. "You don't have to do this, Holo. Just tell him no."
Scarlet nodded in agreement. "For once, I agree with her. Felicia's dangerous. You shouldn't go near her."
Holo looked between the two girls, their concern for him evident in their expressions. Despite their constant bickering and teasing, they genuinely cared about him. He offered them a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine," he said. "I promise."
"Holo," Trixie said, her voice trembling slightly. "You don't understand. Felicia's... different. She's not like us. She doesn't care about boundaries."
"Exactly," Scarlet said, her frown deepening. "She'll try to take advantage of you."
Graves sighed, rubbing his temples. "While I appreciate your concern, the decision has already been made. Holo is going to meet Felicia. End of discussion."
Trixie and Scarlet both glared at Graves, but they didn't argue further. Instead, they turned their attention back to Holo, their expressions a mix of worry and frustration.
"Promise us you'll be careful," Trixie said, her voice firm.
"Yeah," Scarlet added, her tone unusually serious. "Don't let her manipulate you."
Holo nodded, his smile soft. "I promise. I'll be careful."
The two girls exchanged a glance before reluctantly letting go of his arms. Trixie sighed, crossing her arms. "If she tries anything, I'm going to break her legs."
"And I'll make sure she regrets ever looking at you," Scarlet said, her voice cold.
Graves smirked, clearly enjoying their protectiveness over Holo. "Well, now that that's settled, I'll leave you to it. Good luck, Holo. You're going to need it."
As Graves walked away, Holo couldn't shake the feeling of unease settling in his chest. He had dealt with Trixie's wild energy and Scarlet's manipulative sharpness, but from the way they talked about Felicia, he knew this next challenge would be... different. Still, he wasn't going to back down. He had made a promise—to Graves, to himself, and now to Trixie and Scarlet.
"I'll be fine," he said again, more to himself than to anyone else. "I can handle this."
But deep down, he couldn't help but wonder if he was truly ready for what was to come.
