Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster-Chapter 23: Leg Disability
Shawn Grant’s plan was to force his identity to be revealed using external factors, just like Fiona said, he seized the loophole in his words.
South Grant thought about the moment he ran into Nathan Foster earlier, and the words Nathan said before he left.
He told me to deal with the current crisis before talking about anything else.
Back then, I didn’t understand what Nathan meant, but now South has figured it out.
Nathan Foster investigated me!
He suspects my gender, and he’s even more aware of Shawn Grant’s plan.
That’s why he said such a thing.
What’s his purpose?
South pondered Nathan Foster’s purpose, wondering why he said what he did.
Based on South’s understanding of Nathan Foster, he knew that Nathan’s words had no malice.
If guessed correctly, Nathan’s words were meant as a reminder.
South couldn’t think of a solution, and seeing the second class had completed their check-up, the homeroom teacher called their class to start going in.
As it was almost South’s turn, South became anxious, sweat began forming on their forehead.
The homeroom teacher noticed it was South’s turn but saw she hadn’t moved, so she called out:
"South Grant, it’s your turn."
"Teacher, I..."
South started to speak but was interrupted by the homeroom teacher.
"South Grant, every time there’s a medical examination you have an excuse to take leave. I’m telling you now, this time is different, anyone who doesn’t participate in the examination will lose exam eligibility."
South clenched her fists secretly.
"Hurry inside, don’t keep the students behind you waiting."
South began walking towards the examination room, each step making her heart feel heavier.
Just at this moment, the grade coordinator came over to the students of Class Three and asked the homeroom teacher:
"Is there a student named South Grant in your class?"
"Yes, what’s up, coordinator?"
"The principal wants South Grant to come to his office," the grade coordinator said.
When South heard her words, it sounded like heavenly music.
She turned around and approached the grade coordinator, hugged her neck and gave her a big kiss on the cheek.
"Coordinator, I’m absolutely in love with you!"
South said this, then ran off towards the principal’s office.
"This kid..." The coordinator wiped her face and looked speechlessly at South’s retreating figure.
When South reached the principal’s office, she knocked on the door.
"Come in."
South then entered.
Once inside, South looked up and saw the person sitting opposite the principal.
That person was facing away from her, but just from the aura of his back, it was easy to overlook everyone else present.
The principal saw South had arrived and stood up with a smile.
"South, you’re here. Your uncle came to pick you up. I just found out you’re the nephew of the Foster family. In the future, if anything happens at school, feel free to come directly to me."
Uncle...
Hearing this term, South felt as if she’d been struck by lightning.
Sure enough, Nathan Foster’s face had significant sway; among all of the school’s three thousand students, the principal could miraculously call out her name.
Nathan Foster then turned around, looked at the principal, and said, polite and courteous:
"Thanks for today, Principal. I’ll be leaving now."
"Take care. I’ll visit you some other time." The principal involuntarily bowed slightly as he spoke, showing a fawning expression.
As Nathan Foster turned to walk to South’s side, he paused for a moment.
Then he continued past, while South remained somewhat bewildered, hearing Nathan’s voice beside her:
"Why don’t you leave, waiting for the physical examination?"
South: "..."
South couldn’t bear to think of anything else. Uncle or not, as long as she could avoid the examination, he could assume any role!
South followed Nathan Foster out of the school, and as they reached the school gates she remembered what the homeroom teacher had said.
She mentioned that without taking the examination, she couldn’t take the exams, prompting South to ask Nathan Foster:
"About the examination form..."
Nathan turned around to look at her, sizing her up.
He remembered that night when in desperation she had taken off her shirt in front of him and nonchalantly claimed she was a man.
"It won’t affect your exams," Nathan said, then turned to get into a Humvee military vehicle.
After he got in, he glanced at South.
"Get in the car."
This time, South cooperatively got into the vehicle, looking at Nathan Foster’s cold expression beside her, she couldn’t resist asking:
"How did you talk to the principal to excuse me from the examination?"
Nathan Foster heard her question, and his lips slightly curled discreetly.
"I told him you were disabled and feared you might feel inferior alongside your classmates during the examination."
South’s immediate reaction was to blurt out: "Damn..."
Nathan Foster’s glance swept over, and South changed her words: "Damn... Legit excuse. What kind of disability did you say I have?"
If you dare to say I’m brainless, I’ll bite you to death!
Then Nathan Foster casually said: "Leg."
"???" South was puzzled, thinking her legs ran incredibly fast, as long as the principal wasn’t blind, he’d clearly see her legs were perfectly fine.
"The principal believed it?"
"A man’s third leg has some disability, not wanting to participate in the exam is quite normal, he’ll believe it."
"..." What the heck!
