Limitless Evolution: I'm The New Dragon God?-Chapter 72: Blood Legion
"Goodness gracious, Noah. You have nearly caused a mass grave because of your recklessness."
The voice came from a beautiful woman who descended like a beam of starlight, her figure elegant and composed even as she tore through the ranks of Hollows like paper. She held a long, silver staff that pulsed with radiant green energy. Wherever she passed, injured Hunters and civilians found relief. Cuts sealed. Burns faded. Broken bones snapped into place. Her presence was a balm in the midst of destruction.
Her face glowed with a serene, almost saint-like gentleness. Yet her eyes carried sharpness. Authority. She wasn’t someone who could be ignored.
"Haha... well said, Aurora. My buddy here needs to learn some self-control."
Another figure arrived. A broad-shouldered man streaked through the battlefield like a meteor, his glowing spear carving a golden arc in the air before it impaled a rampaging Hollow clean through the skull.
The spear flickered with a holy flame, disintegrating the creature as the man landed with a loud thud, cracking the pavement beneath his boots. His voice was deep, rugged, and calm like a seasoned war veteran.
Behind him came three more figures. Each radiated overwhelming presence, their steps alone enough to make the ground quiver.
A woman in obsidian armor who seemed to glide across the rubble like shadow and wind. A Silver haired young adult who floated without a word, his back adorned with five floating tomes emitting blinding runes. And a red-haired brute carrying a massive axe, twice his size, laughing wildly as he smashed into the enemies.
Together, they stood in formation—calm, absolute, invincible.
A united front of raw force and legendary presence.
Watching them arrive, Lugh—still hovering midair with a smug grin—chuckled and crossed his arms.
"I’m at least not as late as you lazy heads."
Aurora rolled her eyes. "Try not vaporizing half the district next time and we might let you speak first."
The man with the spear snorted. "Save the banter for after we clear the zone. These hollows won’t wait for your comedy act."
Noticing the sudden arrival of the six powerful figures, the struggling Hunters around Ryuzen gasped in unison.
"Oh my God... aren’t they all six commanders of the Blood Legion?" one hunter whispered, his voice trembling with awe.
"Yes. I know them!" another confirmed, eyes wide with recognition. "That’s Fireball King Noah... the Divine Healer Aurora... and that one with the spear is Jay, the Destroyer Spear. They’re all S-Rank Evolvers!"
"They’re here... we’re saved!" someone cried out, tears welling in their eyes.
"With them here, we can hold the line! They can take down those Titanic Hollows!"
Cheers followed as morale shot up like a flare in the dark. The battlefield shifted. Fear was replaced by courage. Desperation gave way to hope.
Meanwhile, Ryuzen stood still for a moment, watching the six fight.
Their movements were monstrous—each strike shattering sound barriers, warping air, flattening buildings. Even the mighty Titans that had made him feel helpless were now reeling, howling in pain.
So this was the power of S-Rank Evolvers.
"So that’s how an S-Rank fights," Ryu murmured under his breath, eyes reflecting the brilliance of battle. "Shaking the continent... moving the hearts of men..." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
His gaze hardened with unwavering resolve.
"I want to reach that step. No... I will reach beyond that."
He turned and looked down at a fallen Hunter nearby. The man was unconscious, barely breathing. Beside him lay a mid-grade iron sword, still intact, better than the broken one Ryuzen held.
He picked it up slowly, holding it in both hands. The grip was worn, but it felt right.
Then he turned toward the chaos.
The Titans were being pushed back by the Blood Legion, but hundreds of smaller Hollows still swarmed through the city like ants. They were tearing apart civilians, devouring weak Hunters, or simply running wild with monstrous hunger.
Ryuzen dashed into the crowd without hesitation.
With each slash, a Hollow fell.
One strike to the neck.
Another to the chest.
His movements were no longer shaky, no longer filled with doubt. There was clarity in his every step, precision in every kill.
Nearby Hunters turned toward him. At first, they blinked, surprised by how young he looked. But that surprise turned to respect.
"Who... who is that kid?" one of them asked.
"I don’t know," another answered, panting as he fell back beside Ryuzen, "but I’m glad he’s on our side."
"Yeah... I feel safe turning my back to him."
They didn’t know his name. But they didn’t need to. His blade was enough.
With every kill, with every drop of blood that painted the crumbling ruins of the city, Ryuzen carved his name into the battlefield.
Even the six commanders of the Blood Legion took notice of his extraordinary speed, endurance, and relentless will.
Despite being just a rookie, he moved like a living war machine—unwavering, untamed, and unbreakable.
"I like that kid," Noah said after a brief pause, a grin forming on his lips. "He’s as fearsome as I am."
Jay, calmly pulling his glowing spear from the remains of a fallen Titan, shook his head. "No... I just see a reckless kid trying to prove something to the world. That fire won’t last long. He’ll burn himself out before the battle’s even halfway done."
"Tch," Noah clicked his tongue. "Like you know everything, smartass."
"Come on, comrades. We need to clear the whole City before nightfall. So, let’s focus," The woman in in obsidian armour, Raven, finally spoke.
"But we’re just six S-Ranks," Jay muttered, his brows furrowed. "There are dozens of Titan-class Hollows out there. We can’t save everyone. Fortress City needs to be evacuated immediately."
Aurora sighed, her healing staff still glowing with gentle light. "Alright... I’ll establish contact with the Alliance. We’ll request reinforcements and rescue as many as we can."
Her voice was steady, but concern mixed in her facial features.
Dama, the silver-haired man with square glasses, adjusted them with a flick of his finger.
Then his eyes narrowed. "But I must ask... why is the Wave so strong this time? We’ve never seen a Hollow wave like this before. Are they planning something?"
The others fell silent.
No one had an answer.
