Limitless Summoner: Rise of the Soul God-Chapter 169: Let’s add some new minions to the list
The duo walked for a few minutes, turning down hallways that seemed identical to Ethan. Eventually, they reached a spacious yet crowded chamber with numerous glowing portal gates lining the walls, each humming quietly.
"Tada. We are here!" Sienna announced cheerfully. "The teleportation hall. Where exactly are you heading?"
Ethan cleared his throat awkwardly, gently freeing his arm from her grasp. "The Grand Dungeon Hall."
Sienna's eyebrows rose in genuine surprise. "Already? Ambitious." She pointed to a large, ornately decorated portal to their right. "That one will take you directly there. But be careful—it's not an easy place for first-years. Though I am sure a genius like you doesn't need any warnings." She tossed some flattery in.
"Thanks, I'll manage," Ethan nodded, stepping toward the portal. He hesitated, glancing back to see Sienna watching him with a curious expression. "See you in class tomorrow?"
She flashed him a teasing smile, waving delicately. "Bright and early. Don't forget!"
He stepped into the portal before she could say anything else, the shimmering magic swallowing him and Shadow whole.
"Phew." Ethan sighed as he stepped out of the portal on the other side. The Grand Dungeon Hall sprawled around him.
He half expected his new stalker to follow him here, but it looked like she had some tact after all. She did not follow him all the way over here, which would have been his final straw.
"Well, all things considered, she is not too bad." She had treated him to a meal when he was hungry and took him to the place where he needed to be. She also seemed to be on top of all the gossip. Quite helpful. Ethan shook his head helplessly and looked around.
The Grand Dungeon Hall was as busy as ever, students walking in and out of the various portals continuously.
The hall was expansive, its marble floors echoing with the clatter of boots and murmurs of conversation. Along each side, ornate portals shimmered. The last time he was here, Luna had gone completely ballistic after seeing this place, jumping up and down in joy.
And now, there was no one by his side. Ethan let out a sigh. He knew that the both of them were safe and sound. He knew he had only known them recently, but he would be lying if he said he did not miss them. He looked around for a minute and then snapped out of it.
There was a lot to be done after all. It was time to start the grind once again.
Ethan walked directly over to the blue portals. The green portals would be the easiest dungeons, but there was no need for him to waste his time over there. All his minions were already at 25, and they were more than capable of handling the blue dungeons.
He chose the treant dungeon first, wanting to include them in his summoning list.
Ethan stepped through the shimmering blue portal, feeling a familiar sensation as the magical energies wrapped around him and Shadow. The air changed immediately, becoming cooler and richer with the scent of damp earth and lush foliage.
He found himself standing in the shadowed tranquility of an ancient forest—massive trees towering overhead, their gnarled branches stretching like giant hands blotting out the sky.
Shadow sniffed the air curiously, her eyes glowing faintly as she crouched low, sensing potential threats hidden among the foliage. Ethan paused, summoning his minions one by one—each emerging with a subtle ripple of mana.
As if everyone had taken a long break, the beasts appeared fresh and ready to get into action. "Alright, everyone," Ethan said quietly, adjusting his stance. "Let's find some treants."
They didn't have to search long. The ground trembled gently, leaves rustling overhead, before the trees themselves began to stir. With creaks and groans, several big treants emerged from the foliage—tall wooden beings, their bark-covered bodies standing over seven feet tall, eyes glowing with a vivid emerald light.
Ethan grinned. These were the minions he wanted next on his summoning list. They had a good variety of nature based attacks. The most important point was that they had decent healing skills. This made them a nuisance to get rid of, but at the same time, they would become useful allies.
The wolves instantly charged forward, followed by the insectoids and the lesser demons. The summons together made a quick work of the group of treants. Of course, Ethan managed to send a water bullet to each treant before they were utterly bulldozed.

Notifications chimed pleasantly in Ethan's ears, marking the successful start of his dungeon grind. He felt his spirits lift immediately, knowing that each defeated monster would bring him closer to surpassing his past strength.
In the span of a few minutes, he ended up adding 15 treants and 5 elite treants to his roster. It looked like his new limit was 10 summons per level, and his mage class allowed him to have an additional 10.
He confirmed this when his mage class leveled up first, and he was able to add an additional 10 treants to his roster, 5 of them elites. The only negative point was that the new summons seemed to start from scratch once again, starting from level 1. However, their leveling-up speed wasn't bad, and they did not remain at level 1 for long.
Ethan decided to stop adding treants for the time being. He wanted a little diversity in his summons, and he could always come back for more treants if needed. He took a step back from the fighting scene, allowing the rest of his minions to run wild.
Naturally, he had learned from his previous mistake. He had already knocked out a few treants to keep them alive for as long as it was needed so that they wouldn't accidentally set a new dungeon record.
