Limitless The Strongest Revenant-Chapter 977: It will never happen [2/2]
"Anata, I have been extremely patient. Show me your affection too."
Smiling, I gently grabbed and squeezed Aki's chest. Then, I traced my hand along her body in a suggestive way. My Kamisan acted as if my finger were a lightning bolt as she writhed from the softest touch.
"Funny, I would think your Sin would be Lust and not Gluttony, Kamisan."
Aki made an enchanting smile as she came close. Her pursed lips then came to my neck like a vampire and gave me a tantalizing kiss. Her moist and soft lips felt like electricity as they jolted through my body.
"Maybe because there is a creamy, white-hot milk I cannot get enough of. I love using it as a body lotion and enjoy consuming it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plus, I am also quite addicted to burly sausages and thick bananas. I am quite the glutton. Fufu."
At her relentless double entendres and passionate kisses, I felt my body tense up. Jas, who noticed, pinched my sides as she whispered.
"Husband, you are far too easy. Can't you even try to resist?"
"Well…"
"Ara Ara. Afraid I am going to take your spot, Jas?"
"Don't push it, Aki. I can hurt you in ways you can't even imagine," my Wifey snapped.
"Haha, I'm only joking…"
I made a wry smile as I turned to Zanele. She had a faint blush. Probably because she saw how aggressive Aki could be. My Kamisan was incredibly good at pushing all my buttons. She knew what to say and how to say it.
'I am like her toy at this point, not that I mind.'
But Zanele and Olamide saw firsthand how exhausting it was to talk about anything with my girls. They had the attention spans of children. Although if you considered how smart they were, you would understand why.
"Ehem. As for the last Sin, it's quite complicated. As the last cycle, their impact is often combined with the other Sins as a whole. Please forgive me if my explanations are not as accurate. We can piece the Sins together when we discuss the Successors."
"That is fine; please proceed," I replied.
"The Sins of Gluttony are a bit complex. Much like the Sins of Envy and Lust, their lives are not based on the Sin. It is instead similar to an Ideal. The Sins of Gluttony are a combination of all the Sins that happened before it. A jack of all trades, so to speak."
"What do you mean?"
"The Sins of Pride's inferiority. The Sins of Greed's narcissism. The Sin of Envy's jealousy of happiness. The Sins of Sloth's betrayal and penchant for manipulation. The Sin of Wrath's desire for destruction. And finally, the Sin of Lust's devotion."
When Zanele said those words, I felt Aki flinch. She began to tremble and tried to pull away.
"Aki?"
"They are like a void that swallows everything; that is what Gluttony they represent. They are…."
"No! Don't say it!" Aki screamed!
I restrained her body, but she continued to struggle.
"It's a lie! That wasn't what I wanted! I was wrong! I never meant for any of it! You have to believe me, Anata! I am innocent! I never wanted to betray you! It's not my fault!"

Seeing my Kamisan frantic, I quickly held her close. She began to scream hysterically. As if something buried deep inside her tried to come out. Unlike the others, Aki didn't want to share something. But whatever it was, it didn't matter.
I hugged her tighter as I whispered, "Kamisan. It's alright. It's alright. I am by your side."
"Anata! Anata! Anata! WAAAAAHHHH!!!!"
I said nothing and just hugged the woman in my arms. Whatever happened, it was clear that the Sin of Gluttony was different from all the rest. For a few moments, we waited for her to calm down. When she did, she buried herself in my chest and didn't let go.
"Aki, if you want to leave, we can do so. I can have one of my Avatars take you to our hut. You don't have to listen if you do not want to."
"No. I'll stay. But please do not throw me…"
"Sussh. That won't ever happen, Kamisan. You are mine; I dove to the 32nd floor for Evelyn, and I didn't even like her. Nothing. Nothing in this world can make me leave you. So set your heart at ease."
"…O-Okay. Can I stay like this for a while? Just a few minutes."
"We can stay like this forever, Kamisan; do as you wish."
I leaned down and kissed her tenderly; she gripped my torso as if it were her lifeline. She closed her eyes and just listened to my heartbeat. The other Sirens said nothing and allowed me to cater to her. Somehow, it seemed that Aki knew what was coming.
That was why she was a bit aggressive earlier. She probably didn't believe Zanele would be able to deduce what she wanted so desperately to hide. Whatever Zanele knew, it seemed to be a critical piece of the puzzle.
"Zanele, continue what you were saying."
"I understand. The lives of the Sins of Gluttony follow a story. They gain happiness early on but are betrayed by those they love. However, unlike the other Sins, they get even. Often, they are ruthless killing machines or those who partake in immense violence."
As I knew of how Aki butchered her family clan, this point was correct. It was sad to hear that many other women had to go through what Aki went through just to become a Sin.
"However, their story does not end there. They usually end their lives after completing their vengeance. Only then do they become Sins of Gluttony. Unlike the others who only learn their stories from the Successor. The Sins of Gluttony already know before they meet.
"They use their sexuality and wiles, but unlike the Sins of Lust, their devotion is conditional. The Successor must agree with their goal, or they will betray him. If the Sins of Wrath are the ones who physically act, the Sins of Gluttony are those who manipulate others."
Hearing the heavy explanation, I understood why Aki didn't want us to know. It was like exposing your darkest thoughts without your consent. And sadly, I could verify many of these claims. For one, I caught Aki trying to manipulate me many times; I just ignored it.
The most negative implication of her words was that Aki approached me with the intent to betray me. That is if I did not follow what she wanted. As an expert at assassination, I wouldn't be able to fight her off. It was pure luck that I won against her before.
But while I could agree that there were plenty of things that painted her in a negative light, I knew my woman best. Aki chose to fight by my side even at the risk of dying plenty of times. I felt her love and her devotion; they were no act. I chose to believe in her.
"What is the goal of the Sins of Gluttony?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"To destroy the world of the living."
"…"
As Zanele explained, the Asian in my embrace began to whimper. Her tears fell like a flood as she wept. If Zanele's claim wasn't true, Aki would not be reacting this way. But before jumping to any conclusion, I patted Aki's back as I gazed at the Soldat Matriarch.
"Explain. Now."
