Lingering Passion: Mr. Sutton Wants to be Your Male Lead!-Chapter 176: Indulgence
Seeing the message from Silas Sutton, Stella Grant paused for a moment.
After a few seconds, she replied: ?
Silas Sutton: Let me show you the beauty of this world.
On any other day, Stella Grant would certainly refuse, not only refuse but also feel like Silas Sutton was crazy.
But tonight, her emotions were suppressed and tense; even if she didn’t express them, she urgently needed to grasp on to something.
A few minutes later, Stella Grant got in Silas Sutton’s car.
Silas Sutton’s long, attractive fingers lightly tapped on the steering wheel as he smiled and said in a deep voice, "Fasten your seatbelt."
Upon hearing this, Stella Grant lowered her head to fasten her seatbelt and casually asked, "Where are we going to see?"
Silas Sutton replied, "By the river." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Stella Grant was surprised, "Brynnfield has a river?"
Silas Sutton said seriously, "How could a coastal city not have a river?"
Accompanied by the ’click’ of the seatbelt, Stella Grant was speechless but expressive.
Stella Grant lived in Brynnfield for twenty-six years and had never heard that Brynnfield had a river.
There was certainly a sea, but in recent years it had been developed by capital, turning the coast and beaches mostly into private areas.
Stella Grant knew a hotel where it costs three thousand eight hundred eighty-one per night; as long as you check in, you can see the sea and play with the sand freely.
Stella Grant was lost in thought, and Silas Sutton sped off onto the road.
Approximately forty minutes later, Silas Sutton pulled the car over to the side of the road.
Stella Grant looked at him suspiciously, and Silas Sutton gestured with his chin, "Go down and take a look."
Stella Grant glanced at him, skeptically got out of the car, and after passing through a row of trees, a river emerged before her eyes.
Stella Grant turned around in shock to look at Silas Sutton.
With a cigarette at the corner of his mouth, Silas Sutton took a step closer, towering above her with a smile on his lips, "Is it a river?"
Stella Grant, "How did you know there’s a river here?"
Silas Sutton took the cigarette from his mouth and flicked the ash, saying, "Nothing is difficult if you set your mind to it."
It’s midsummer now, yet the wind by the river was cool and refreshing.
Stella Grant looked up at the stars for a long time, her red lips moving to say, "Silas Sutton, thank you today."
Silas Sutton rarely teased her and chuckled softly, "Hmm."
As Silas Sutton’s words fell, the two fell into a silent mutual understanding.
A few minutes later, Silas Sutton continued the conversation, "Stella Grant, can you guess what I like about you?"
Stella Grant’s slender back stiffened for a moment, "What?"
Silas Sutton spoke with a deep, low voice, "Many times, I can see my own shadow in you."
Stella Grant, "..."
The two of them spent a full two hours by the river enjoying the night breeze.
It must be said, tonight’s starry sky was beautiful.
The ink-like night sky, the stars were bright and clear.
Two hours later, Stella Grant was tired of standing and turned toward the direction of the parked car, "Let’s go back."
Silas Sutton followed closely behind and asked, "Back to the hospital or home?"
Stella Grant stepped on the weeds underfoot and replied, "Home."
Silas Sutton, "Hmm."
Stella Grant walked to the front of the passenger seat, preparing to get in the car, suddenly turned her head, "Silas Sutton, where are you staying tonight?"
Silas Sutton raised his eyebrows at her, "Haven’t decided yet."
Stella Grant turned her head back, "I’ll put you up for the night."
Silas Sutton watched Stella Grant bend into the car, his tongue pressed against his back teeth, "Alright."
From getting into the car to arriving at the apartment complex, neither of them spoke again.
When they got upstairs and opened the door, Silas Sutton pressed against Stella Grant from behind, before she could turn on the lights, directly pinning her against the wall beside the door.
Stella Grant’s breath tightened, and Silas Sutton lowered his head to plant a kiss on her neck, his voice husky, "Stella Grant, do you know what inviting a man to stay means?"
Stella Grant didn’t move, her fingers slightly curled against the wall, "I know."
Silas Sutton’s breath was warm, "Willingly?"
Stella Grant, "Hmm."
Silas Sutton, "Not out of gratitude or obligation?"
Stella Grant’s cheeks were flushed, spreading to the base of her neck, desire and shame galloped alongside each other, "Silas Sutton, can you really do it, if not, let me go."
As Stella Grant’s words fell, Silas Sutton chuckled softly behind her, caught her earlobe gently, and teased, his large hand pressing on her abdomen to pull her back, "Can I do it or not, don’t you know?"
