Lingering Passion: Mr. Sutton Wants to be Your Male Lead!-Chapter 209: She’s Such a Scumbag
Family ties.
Clearly should be the warmest thing in this world, yet at this moment, it’s become the most heartbreaking.
Silas Sutton says he doesn’t believe it.
Stella Grant didn’t say it, but she also doesn’t believe it.
On the way back to the hospital, Stella Grant was silent, even closing her eyes with a weary body and mind.
When the car arrived at the hospital, Silas Sutton asked her if she wanted coffee.
Stella Grant opened her eyes, nodded slightly, "Okay."
Silas Sutton looked directly at her, "Stella."
Stella Grant, "Hmm?"
Silas Sutton’s lips curled into a smile, "You still have me."
Stella Grant’s breath hitched, her heart tightened little by little, then relaxed, tingly and numb, as she avoided his gaze, lowered her eyes, and said, "Silas, don’t tempt me."
Silas Sutton chuckled at her words, "Is this called temptation?"
Stella Grant inhaled, "Isn’t it?"
Silas Sutton said half-truthfully, "The real temptation is yet to come, brace yourself."
After finishing, Silas Sutton didn’t give Stella Grant a chance to respond, opened the door and got out, striding across the street to the coffee shop.
Watching Silas Sutton’s figure through the car window, Stella Grant subconsciously pursed her lips.
She felt like she might not be able to withstand his temptation.
He told her to be strong.
Might not be easy.
Silas Sutton bought a latte for Stella Grant.
Silas Sutton got into the car and handed her the latte, "Iced, to refresh you."
Stella Grant took it, lowered her head to take a sip, her taste buds and senses stimulated simultaneously, suddenly feeling much more awake.
Stella Grant spoke her thanks, "Thank you."
Silas Sutton glanced sideways at her, his long eyes smiling, didn’t respond, neither retorted.
The car drove into the hospital parking lot, and they got out on opposite sides.
In the elevator, Stella Grant said to Silas Sutton, "About my dad, don’t mention it to my mom."
Silas Sutton responded with a low laugh, "Do I look like someone who talks too much?"
Stella Grant, "Just in case."
A few days ago, when he was establishing his identity, he didn’t seem like someone who talks little.
As they spoke, the elevator doors opened and they exited side by side.
They had just walked a few steps when they saw Michelle Coleman coming out of the hospital room, dressed in her university uniform.
Michelle Coleman seemed to have just washed her hair, the wet strands draped over her shoulders, paired with her school uniform, she looked thoroughly innocent.
Seeing Michelle Coleman walking over, Silas Sutton raised his eyebrows slightly, "Again?"
Stella Grant lifted her hand to drink her coffee, couldn’t help but laugh, "Excited?"
Silas Sutton, "More like horrified."
Stella Grant’s lips curled into a smile, with the hand hanging by her side, she patted his arm, "Lucky in love, make the most of it."
After saying this, Stella Grant returned to the hospital room first as Silas Sutton watched her.
Silas Sutton prepared to follow, but Michelle Coleman quickened her pace and blocked his path, lifting the convenience bag in her hand and handing it to him, "President Sutton, remember what I mentioned last time, the specialty from our place."
Silas Sutton looked down at her, his eyes devoid of any warmth.
Seeing him not taking it, Michelle Coleman bit her lip and said, "President Sutton, I know you have misunderstandings about me. You’ve been in a high position for so long that you think all women approaching you have bad intentions, either for your money or to seduce you, but I truly have no such thoughts. I genuinely just want to apologize, I..."
Michelle Coleman was still speaking softly, when Silas Sutton shifted his body slightly and strode past her.
Michelle Coleman looked stunned, "..."
When she turned to look at Silas Sutton.
She found him expressionless, looking utterly uninterested.
Watching him enter the hospital room, Michelle Coleman gritted her teeth, the hand holding the convenience bag suddenly tightened.
Inside the hospital room, Stella Grant saw him enter, her smile deepened.
Lynn Adler noticed her subtle expression and spoke to Silas Sutton, "Is Sutton parking the car?"
Silas Sutton stepped forward, naturally picked up a chair and sat by Lynn Adler’s bedside, casually took an apple and began peeling, "No, Auntie, I just came up with Stella."
Lynn Adler was curious, "Then why did you just come in now?"
Silas Sutton’s eyes lowered, emotions indiscernible, "I just ran into that girl from the Coleman Family from the room next door outside, she’s repeatedly trying to approach me with ill intentions..."
Speaking, Silas Sutton paused for a moment, looking up at Lynn Adler, "Then, Stella ditched me and ran."
Lynn Adler, "..."
Stella Grant standing at the windowsill facing away from them, "..."
After Silas Sutton spoke, he cut a small slice of apple and handed it to Lynn Adler, "Auntie, can you help me reason with her?"
Lynn Adler, "..."
Stella Grant pursed her lips into a straight line, "..."
Silas Sutton avenged himself instantly and relentlessly, "Auntie, didn’t you say she’s always sincere in love? Why is she so unfaithful when it comes to me?"
