Lord Of Puppets-Chapter 145 – Dungeon Raid – Part 16.

(Golems?!) – thought alarmed Markus as golems started flooding right into the room.

(But how?!)

(We had exterminated all.... Shit! What happened to the elf?!)

"..."

"She is dead.... No doubt about it." – said Markus, realizing that the elven swordwoman who just had left the room must had been killed by the golems.... And without even spotting it yet, there was confirmation of it on some of the golems’ weapons that were covered in fresh blood.

Markus without hesitation instantly rushed towards the golem, while covering his blade in wind, before then instantly stopping in tracks

(From the start that bastard was bluffing!) – thought pissed off young man as he prepared his spell.

[Wind Magic: Wind Shread]

The man unleashed a long-range pillar of wind at the golem.

The reason why the man closed up a distance a bit was to make sure golem wouldn’t have enough time to dodge the attack, while also making sure that he himself was right at the edge of the golem range.

The [Wind Magic: Wind Shread] that Markus unleashed was as large as a fist. It didn’t covered a large area.... However, its pure concentrated attack power was making up for it.

And the aim?

Head.

Markus in the moment of confusion and chaos tried attacking the golem in order to catch it off guard.

But there was a problem.

The golem attack wasn’t the barrage of blades.

A large golem suddenly emerged from the ground and used its arm to take on the attack, shattering the creature arm, but at the same time completely blocking off the attack.

"?!"

(Golem?!) – thought alarmed Markus as the gorilla like golem swung down its remaining arm, trying to hit the young man.

Markus instantly tried leaping away in order to not get hit.... But instead, he just fell on his back.

The golem creation magic wasn’t the only thing that Thauma fired, it unleashed a trap which formed a humanoid arm that grabbed onto the man ankle, biding him in place.

And before young adventurer could even get a chance to do anything, the golem swung down it arm, crushing right on top of the man chest.

Markus suffered a solid it and was pinned against the golem giant arm.

However, Thauma wasn’t taking any chances.

As the golem smacked down the man, the dungeon master ran past the golem and was aiming for the fallen young man neck, aiming to quickly decapitate him, before he could even attempt to cast any spells.

"?!"

But right in the very next moment, the golem was pushed backwards.

"You alright?!" – shouted Elizabeth as she barely in time managed to save the man.

Elizabeth tried to attack the golem that was pinning down Markus, but before it could, Thauma rushed at the female warrior and tried stabbing her.

"!?" – Elizabeth managed to react in time and used her two short spears to block the golem’s attack.

But Thauma was one step ahead, as one of its free arms fired off [Earth Magic: Earthly Forged Blade] from its palm.

"!" – the woman quickly managed to lower her body and twist it a bit, making the blade missing her head.

However, she now could no longer see the golem, as the side of her that was facing the golem was the one with destroyed eye.

The woman tried putting up some form of defense, but it was pointless.

Thauma punches broke right through and sent the woman flying away.

The woman was left vulnerable .... But Thauma knew who was the bigger danger.

Markus.

The golem once again tried going for the young man.

[Wind Magic: Wind Sphere Barrier]

However, the young mana managed to cast his spell just in time, unleashing a wind around his body that pushed back the golem arm and barely blocked 3 arms of the golem.

"!" – but only for the bit as Markus realized his barrier won’t hold back the golem for long.

The young man quickly rolled to the side, barely dodge the claws that just broke through his shield.

But before the man had a chance to even get up, the golem rushed and kicked the young man right in the stomach with its toe claws, digging right into the young man armor and dealing enough damage to make man caught out blood.

The young man rolled further on the ground, this time being completely not in control of his movement.

The golem once again tried rushing in at the young man.

However, right as the golem was about to reach him, Elizabeth threw one of her short spears at full power at the golem, forcing the creature to use its arm to defend the strike.

The golem wasn’t pushed back, but obviously it stopped it in tracks for just a second, allowing Markus to blast himself with wind magic as the golem tried stomping him.

"Markus!" -shouted Adam who tried going towards the fallen magic swordman.... But as he tried to, the golem knights attacked the man.

"Shit! Piss ya bastards!" – shouted Adam as he knocked away knight golem... Only to then attacked by two more golems.

Thauma tired to attack the man once again, but Elizabeth with rushed at the golem while only wielding her single short spear, keeping the golem in place and giving the man necessary time to recover and quickly get up.

"T-thanks." – said Markus.

"No-"

"!"

"This isn’t good!" – said Elizabeth as she looked towards the exit and spotting the C-rank adventurers dealing with golems that just entered the room.

(That bastard straight up brough a new monsters and separated us from the rest of the group.)

(I guess he plans on having golems lock them in place, while he deals with us?)

"..."

(Well.... I’ve managed to call back the spare golems.... But I don’t know how long they will stall those C-rank adventurers.... They are injured, so it maybe will take them sometime to deal with them.... Then again, they may also deal with them extremely quickly.) – thought Thauma who kept its guard up.

(So, I can’t waste any moment! Even if it means being risky!) – thought Thauma, before moments later an earth golem rushed at the duo of adventurers.

"Deal with it quickly!" – said Markus as he and Elizabeth quickly ran to confront the earth golem.

However, they weren’t the only ones that ran after the golem as Thauma fallowed right after the creature.

"It is using the bastard as shield! Just break through it!" – shouted Markus as both he and spear wielding woman got ready to destroy the golem with their next attack.

Both fighters attacked the golem at the same time.... And Thauma placed its hands on the golem body.

Thauma transformed parts of the golem body, unleashing two blades from its chest that extended towards the duo.

The blades of both sides clashed with each other.... And adventurers destroyed the golem attack.... But at the same time, their own attack was stop.

The toros of the golem was destroyed because of the shapeshifting of its body... But before golem body could completely collapse, Thauma grabbed its arm and smacked the young man with it, which demolished the arm upon contact.

The young man was stagnated for the moment, but Elizabeth obviously didn’t stood idly by.

The young lady rushed in and stabbed the golem right in its side before it could react, before then dodging claw attacks from below that ended just hitting the ground.

"[Wi-"

Markus tried firing off his wind magic.... But Thauma attack against young lady was a set up.

Thauma unleashed another blade off earth from the ground as the young man was about to fire his wind magic.

Markus managed to notice the attack in time and move away.... But not completely as the earthly blade cut his side, dealing a nasty wound to the man.

"Tch!" – but even so, he didn’t gave up. He fired off his [Wind Stike], unleashing a gust of wind that hit the golem right in its shoulder, destroying its guard for split moment, which was instantly used by Eliazbeth to instantly close the distance between herself and the golem.

"THIS IS FOR MAWA YOU SON OF A FUCKING BITCH!"

"[Doryanthes Excelsa Spear Art: Final]!"

The woman unleashed her spear straight at the golem chest and before the golem knew it, its chest was already pierced.

The spear dug right into metallic body of the golem, which ended up touching the golem core.

"?!"

(Shit! It wasn’t enough?!) – thought annoyed woman as her spear did not pierced the golem core.

Thauma in panic swung around its arms, forcing the woman to quickly back away in order to get trapped.

(My core got almost destroyed!?) – thought Thauma who went into panic mode.

(And what the hell was the force of that blow?! My mana steel was straight up wrecked by it!)

(If it wasn’t for the extra inner reinforcement I had to protect my core and mana organs, she would have just now destroyed my core!) – thought Thauma as it took more defense-oriented position, with two of its hands being placed right on top of the hole left behind by the woman’s strike.

"?"

"!"

"Hey. You hit him in the chest.... Right?" – asked Markus.

"Well, you can bloody see, can’t you?!" – said angry woman.

"Yea! I can bloody see! And I can see that bastard changing his tactic!" – said Markus.

"He is fucking protecting his chest!!"

"So that means his core is in there!"

(Ah... Shit.) – thought the golem, who too late realized that it screwed up just now.
