It had been five minutes since the goddess returned to her slumber.

Xavier sat in silence. He was given a goal to complete. A purpose of his life. He wasn’t gaining anything by not following it, but he was surely losing everything by it.

The door opened and Lilia peeked in. "Can I come in?"

After receiving no response, she walked in and saw Xavier sitting in front of the goddess’ fragment with his eyes closed.

He was naked. But at that moment, he looked serene.

Lilia walked closer to Xavier and sat beside him with grace. Lyra also stood behind Xavier, seemingly confused and wondering what was happening.

Then, Lilia slowly moved her hand and placed it on Xavier’s shoulder, prompting him to open his eyes.

His eyes shined golden for a second before returning to red again.

"Are you okay? What happened?" she asked in a calm voice.

Xavier slowly opened his mouth. "I..."

He told her everything that had happened with him ever since he came to the city.

"You were in the prison...?" She couldn’t believe her ears. "I thought you were out with that fat friend of yours. I saw you the other night with him when I followed you after you suspiciously and sneakily tried to leave the room in the middle of the night."

"Anyway." Xavier tried to change the topic to get out of the situation. "That’s the story. Don’t ask me any more questions because I don’t know. I am new to this and I need some time to take it all in."

"I wouldn’t have believed a word, but... I can’t believe it..." Her eyes and voice were filled with joy. "I can’t believe that I saw the goddess with my eyes!"

"But is there really any need to get naked?" She glanced at his crotch, although Xavier had covered it with his pants.

"What is this..." he muttered in disbelief as he stared at the screen. "I haven’t..."

Lilia then touched it and it felt like a hardened skin, as though she was touching rubber and metal at the same time.

"It feels like a... cyberware, but at the same time it isn’t." She muttered. "Do you truly have no idea about it? Should we go to the doctors?" She asked with a concerned look on her face.

"No..." Xavier shook his head. "It might be something related to the... mess."

Xavier then recalled what had happened when he killed Bull. Golden particles came out of Bull’s body and covered Xavier before vanishing into thin air.

’Is it some sort of god particle? According to the goddess, I will gain the power of the host once I kill them and absorb the fragment’s powers. Bull said the goddess gave him ’power’ so that means I will gain something similar according to what suits my body.’

Lyra, who was quiet for a while, raised her hand and said, "Hungry."

"Yes, yes. Let’s go."

The three of them went to the 10th floor and sat at the corner table. While waiting for the food, Xavier texted Oliver and told him that he would pick him up in an hour.

"There are two girls now!" Seraphina panicked when she saw Xavier with two girls. She placed the dishes on their table and looked at Xavier.
