It was late at night and Bai Qi had lowered his voice when he spoke. Hearing his low voice close to her ears made her tremble.

“Have you finished your operation? Are you on a break?” Zhang Li Xue’s voice sounded muffled as she was pressing her cheek on the pillow.

Bai Qi paused when he heard her voice. It did not take him a long time to figure out that her text had woken her up from her sleep.

He made a note not to text her again during this hour. However, Bai Qi knew that if he did not text her back, his girlfriend would be worried.

“Why are you not asleep?”

Zhang Li Xue’s breathing was heard on the other line.

Just when Bai Qi had thought that the girl had fallen asleep, Zhang Li Xue had spoken again. “I was waiting for you.”

His heart skipped a beat. The thought that someone was waiting to hear from him made his heart fill with indescribable happiness. However, his heart also ached, thinking that his little fairy was unable to sleep soundly because of him.

“I have helped you to look around for a new apartment based on your preferences,” Zhang Li Xue said. “You should look at them first. I’ve marked a few apartments that should be close to Xi Xi’s new school as well.”

His lips curled into a helpless smile.

His girlfriend was nice and considerate.

Sometimes, he wondered just what had he done to deserve someone good like Zhang Li Xue.

Listening to her cute voice made him smile.
