Love You Till the End-Chapter 1021 - 1020: Why Does Shi Aoju Hang This Kind of Painting in His Office?
Shi Aoju frowned and ignored her, his gaze falling on the painting on the drawing board next to him.
——It was an oil painting with fairly simple lines, not particularly exquisite, looking as if it was painted casually on a whim.
"Did you paint this?" Shi Aoju asked.
Su Jiuyi nodded and said, "Yeah, I couldn’t help it while cleaning your studio earlier, so I painted a few little cats."
"They all look the same. You didn’t need to paint several of them." He mercilessly pointed out, finally highlighting the main point, "Also, the lines in this painting are too rough."
Su Jiuyi, a bit unhappy, said, "I’m not a professional painter, I’ve already painted very seriously... though this is the one that most looks like a cat."
Seeing Shi Aoju’s look of disdain, she added, "Forget it, forget it, since you’re not planning to keep it, I’ll just take it back to my room."
Unexpectedly, when she tried to take the painting, Shi Aoju suddenly raised his hand high. There was already a significant height difference between them, so she couldn’t even reach Shi Aoju’s sleeve.
"Who said I don’t want it?" Shi Aoju raised an eyebrow at her.
Hearing this, Su Jiuyi lowered her hand and then uttered an "oh".
Shi Aoju took another look at the painting. It actually wasn’t that bad; with a bit of touch-up it could be presentable. He changed the subject: "Is your studio cleaned up? The housekeeper will dock your bonus if he finds out."
"Oh no!" His words made Su Jiuyi realize she hadn’t finished her work. "Uh, Young Master Jue, I’ll get back to work then."
After saying that, she hurried off with a towel and bucket.
Shi Aoju looked at the oil painting in his hand, deep in thought.
Three days later, Shi Aoju’s assistant received a call from Bai Ya. She finally made up her mind to sell her brand.
Actually, Shi Aoju’s terms were very good. Although it was an acquisition, he agreed to let Bai Ya continue as the manager of Xiro, and he would even help her introduce the brand to foreign markets through certain channels.
After carefully reading the contract, Bai Ya finally understood why Shi Aoju was so confident when meeting her, as if he knew she would definitely agree to sign.
Such tempting terms, no sane person could resist.
Upon arriving at the company, she was received by Shi Aoju’s assistant, who smiled as he opened the office door for her, courteously bending down and saying, "Please wait a moment, Miss Bai, the CEO is in a meeting."
Bai Ya nodded and walked in; the assistant asked what kind of beverage she wanted.
"Coffee will do."
"Alright, please wait a moment."
The office was simply decorated: a black leather sofa, a transparent glass coffee table adorned with a set of exquisite tea ware sat nearby.
Behind the sofa was a large window sill covered with clear glass tiles, lined with several potted plants.
On the desk lay an open laptop, with a golden nameplate bearing the word CEO, symbolizing status. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
On the opposite white wall hung a painting of a few cats licking the fur on their paws while pressing down on thread balls, their eyes narrowed into slits, looking somewhat lazy.
The painting’s atmosphere was beautiful, but the lines were too stiff, and the colors too bright, clearly not a masterful work of art.
Bai Ya suddenly became very curious as to why Shi Aoju would hang such a painting in his office.
