Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 601: The Ancient Curse (Cecillia’s Point Of View)
Mirai said that the room for me had been prepared and I could rest now. It seemed like it was really late at night because Mirai didn’t realize the wound in my hand. Even until she led me to sit on the bed, Mirai didn’t ask about my wound.
I lay down first.
CLICK!
I heard the sound of a door being locked from outside. My curiosity skyrocketed. I stretched out my hands and tried to find the location of the door. My foot hit the end of the bed, but I ignored it. It was a common thing. When I pulled on the doorknob, the door was completely locked.
I was locked by Mirai, who was my trusted lady-in-waiting. Why? Had I done something wrong? I faintly heard the sound of crying. It was really faint. Mirai was crying while mentioning my mother’s name. Why was Mirai crying while calling my mother? I felt my grip on the doorknob become tighter.
I was helpless. I couldn’t even utter a protest or ask her to get me out. Was it time for me to become an abandoned puppet?
Ah! I looked back because suddenly, a strong wind blew from behind.
"You want to go with me?" asked the mysterious man.
"What are you doing in my room?"
"Your room? I see you are in prison."
"None of your business."
"Calm down. I’m a good person. I’ll leave a message for your family if you want."
"No, thank you." I turned towards the door, hoping Mirai would hear the man’s voice inside this cubicle.
"Mirai!" called me because Mirai wouldn’t stop crying.
"You want to be able to see?"
What did he say?
"Aren’t you curious about the shape of the full moon?" he asked again.
"I don’t know who you are, Sir. But, suddenly appearing from a window in a girl’s room is impolite behavior."
"Oh, sorry. You want to come in through the door? Alright."
The man instantly disappeared along with the sound of the wind, leaving behind a trail of a very strong wet scent of wood. Not long after, I heard the sound of a key turning and then the door to the room I was holding had been opened from the outside.
"Oh, good night, Princess. I’ve visited through the door. You want to come with me now?"
Truly! I opened my mouth wide, feeling flabbergasted by his actions. I couldn’t believe there was someone like this man. He did everything so casually.
"Where’s Mirai?"
"Probably falling asleep from crying too long."
I pushed his body out of the way. But, I was really surprised when he didn’t move at all. It was like pushing a rock. The man then held my arm. Compared to his strength and tough body, his touch was actually very gentle. He led me to a place and told me to touch on something.
It was Mirai. Being on the couch... with her eyes closed... and still breathing. She was asleep.
"How is it? I’m not lying, right? So you want to come with me?"
"Why should I? We don’t know each other. Why did you want me to come with you? And one more thing, I was born blind. There will be no medicine that can cure it because this is not a disease."
The man chuckled lightly. I no longer believed in the lure of being able to see again. If only that person knew how my parents were trying to find healers from all over the kingdom. I had been through the times where I wanted to see. Now I had accepted myself. So, I was not tempted by the offer.
"Once you can see, I can immediately take you home."
"Go home?"
"To Birwick Castle."
He took my hand. At that time, I didn’t know what I was thinking. I was always taught by my mother and friends to always be careful with strangers who I didn’t even know their names of.
But, the mysterious man was different. Since the first time I met him, I didn’t feel his evil intentions at all. Instead, I feel safe and protected. It was weird, but that was how I felt.
A pair of strong and sturdy hands held my back as well as my legs. I was floating in the air again and I automatically gripped and hugged his neck tightly. I could feel the wind blowing against my face quite hard. Even so, being in his embrace was quite steady.
Since I was always overcome by curiosity, I touched his face, and the man stopped running.
"What are you doing?"
"You don’t want to give me your name. This is my way of getting to know you."
"By touching my face?"
"You have thick eyebrows. Your cheeks are thin with high cheekbones. You have a sharp jaw. Mirai said the man who has sharp jaws is handsome."
"I am handsome?"
"You have thin lips."
I touched his lips more lightly. Yes, the man had thin, soft lips. Most of the castle guards I touched had dry lips. They said it was because they were quite dehydrated from work.
"And you have beautiful lips."
Beautiful? What was the shape of beautiful? I had never judged anyone so beautiful.
"You touched my lips longer? Want to kiss?"
"No, we are not a loving couple. Mirai said a kiss can only be done by people who love each other."
"Did you even now what love is?"
"I knwo. Even though I’m blind. i’m not stupid."
But stupid enough to follow a stranger like this. Yeah, and that’s me.
"Okay. Then, stop touching my lips. It would make me want to touch your lips too."
I then pulled my hand back and wrapped my arms around his neck. The mysterious man was running again.
After I judged based on the standard of my touch, the man was quite handsome. But, I didn’t reveal it because he didn’t ask.
After taking me far enough, the man then put me on a large rock. The wind was still blowing, which meant we were still not at our destination.
"Wait here a moment. I’ll get the elixir."
I waited patiently. Was that man really serious when he said he could heal my sight? If so, what could I give as a thank you?
The mysterious man came back and held my hand. He blew on the part of my hand that was previously injured, maybe because I fell earlier. After that, he tried to lift my skirt, and I was holding it tightly to keep it from being lifted.
"I saw you fall earlier, so shut up. I’ll treat your wounds too."
I was a little surprised by his offer. Maybe he realized my wound when I touched his face earlier. But, what about the part on my knee?
Ah! Was it when I wanted to go back to the castle he saw me falling?
I held on to my skirt, which was quite tight because it was the first time I would let a stranger see my leg. The man politely pulled down the skirt to cover my leg again, which had been dripped with something. I didn’t really know what thing the man was using because I couldn’t see it.
Until a strong hand touched the nape of my neck. I looked up, and suddenly a drop of liquid entered my eye, making my head feel very dizzy. I blinked my eyes a few times, and my dark world suddenly turned very bright.
It was so bright that I couldn’t understand what was around me.
