Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 639: The Ancient Curse (Cecillia’s Point Of Views)
King Theodore called my name, "Cecillia."
Amadea stood up and positioned his body in front of me. I also tried to hide behind him.
"Cecilia, I looked everywhere for you. I am very worried. You just disappeared without any news, like swallowed by the earth. Haven’t you thought about my feelings at all, Cecillia?"
King Theodore got down from his horse. I pressed myself against Amadea’s back then glanced at the black dragon behind King Theodore’s body. He had betrayed Amadea. This meant that he had also betrayed Birwick Mountain.
I didn’t like this. I didn’t want to feel betrayal anymore.
"Cecillia, always remember that Birwick Mountain will protect you. Step back slowly, I will finish this human and... that traitor," said Amadea.
I couldn’t let go of Amadea’s shirt. The bad feeling I had earlier rushed back to me. If only I could fly and disappear, I really wanted to hide Amadea right now. It was a foolish thought because I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it.
"Cecillia, I wonder why you left? Truly, if you ask me to give up my throne and live together, I will do it! Ask me anything, but just don’t leave me like this!"
"I never left!" I shouted loudly.
I was always with him, waiting for him in the palace as a friend. Could I leave him when I was blind? I couldn’t even find a way out of the palace. Getting out of the palace was not my desire either.
King Theodore should know that I liked Northendell. I had nowhere to go except Northendell at the time. However, that place was too terrible. Being surrounded by greedy people who didn’t hesitate to hurt and torture others for their benefit was my worst nightmare. I didn’t want to repeat it again.
Even though I knew that King Theodore, as well as Princess Leonor, his concubine after me, was a good person, there were more people who were capable of hurting me again.
"Then, let’s go back home, to Northendell."
I shook my head. Northenedell was no longer my home. Northendell was no longer a place I could call home. Birwick had become my true home. A place that could give me a sense of comfort as well as serenity. It was totally different from Northedell. Every night, I was always filled with anxiety. The fear of the possibility that the person approaching me was a bad person kept haunting me.
Whereas at Birwick I could do whatever I wanted. I was also surrounded by many good creatures. They became my friends and really wanted to be friends with me. Maybe except for one person. I turned my gaze again to the man dressed in all black who folded his arms in front of his chest.
"No. Birwick is now my home. I’m not leaving Birwick. It should be you who gets your feet out of this mountain. Stop all the mess you’re making. It will all be in vain."
"What do you mean? I’m doing this because I want to take you home, Cecillia! I saw you at that time! Entering this mountain! I thought you had been kidnapped, and I came to save you!"
"I did get kidnapped! Do you know that I was kidnapped, and those people squeezed my blood for their sake!? I will never come back to that place again!" I shouted.
Amadea touched my shaking hands. I looked up and saw his brilliant red irises.
"Don’t push yourself. Our little Snowdrop will be sad if her mother is sad," he said.
I looked down in embarrassment and quickly wiped away the tears that were rolling down my cheeks.
"My wife will stay with me in Birwick. You and your human troops better get off this mountain before it’s too late."
"Wife? What do you mean? Cecillia is my wife! Get away from my wife!" shouted King Theodore with a booming voice. Instantly, Birwick Mountain seemed to grow quieter.
Amadea didn’t look scared or even afraid. He let go of my hand briefly and rolled up his sleeves. King Theodore also drew his sword. I stopped Amadea from moving forward when I saw King Theodore spilling a viscous liquid on the tip of his sword.
I knew what way it was. From the unique sweet fragrance, it was a liquid that must have been made from the snowdrop flowers. Almost every day I spent time with those little flowers, so I was also familiar with the scent.
"Amadea ..."
"I know. I will be careful."
I reached into my pocket. Then, I held a small glass bottle that Hylios had given me. I hadn’t used it, but I wanted to give it to Amadea just in case something happened. Amadea definitely didn’t want me here, and I couldn’t immediately heal him if I was far away.
"Amadea, take this. Use this for you."
"No, you take it. I don’t need it. Use it for yourself."
"I insist!"
Amadea accepted it even though he seemed to object.
"Cecillia, I’ll forgive everything as long as you come back. I will withdraw all my troops-" King Theodore’s words stopped when his eyes landed on my growing belly. I hugged it when I saw the man grit his teeth.
"What is the meaning of this, Cecilia? DID THAT BASTARD GET YOU PREGNANT!?" shouted King Theodore furiously.
Amadea chuckled, making me even more worried. "Is it wrong if my wife is pregnant with my child?" 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
I had never seen King Theodore get this angry. The man wasn’t wearing his mask as usual, so I could see the veins on his temples which were more visible than before. Even his face was getting redder.
"Cecillia, of all people on earth, I can’t believe that you would betray me like this. I love you, Cecilia. With all of my heart." King Thedore covered his face with his hand. His shoulders shook.
The man couldn’t have cried. He must have held back his anger. Amadea and I just kept quiet, listening to the man’s series of words. I tried to not feel guilty when he said that he had done so much for me.
I had to admit that it was true. King Theodore was always there to be my friend. He gave me many gifts and attention. However, before I was kidnapped, for the last few days the man’s attitude was getting colder and he ignored me more often. I thought because at that time King Theodore was more interested in making Princess Leonor the new queen to replace Queen Alicia.
My heart almost stopped beating when King Theodore looked up. His face was full of tears.
"Cecillia, don’t you... love me too? Even for a tiny bit? I-I promise I’ll accept you again no matter what your condition is, as long as after this, you return my love."
I couldn’t... My feelings for King Theodore and Amadea were clearly different. From the start, I only saw King Theodore as a friend. Nothing more, whereas Amadea was always in my heart in a strange way. Until finally, I knew that Amadea and I were a fated mate who were destined to love each other.
When I accepted Amadea’s feelings, I felt whole and complete. It felt like it should have happened from the start. Being with Amadea was my destiny.
I could only shake my head. I couldn’t find my voice to answer him with words.
"But, I love you first..."
"No, Your Majesty. Amadea loves much more than you. And from the start, it was difficult for me to accept your feelings because my heart had chosen its owner," I replied firmly.
King Theodore’s eyes gleamed dangerously. He growled. "If I can’t have you, then no one else can have you either, Cecillia. I won’t let it."
I swallowed my saliva. King Theodore was ready with his sword, and Amadea had also transformed into a black wolf again. The wound on his shoulder had completely healed. Then, when I tried to retreat, we were suddenly surrounded by dozens of troops shooting their arrows.
I shuddered when I saw them all wearing the snowdrops as a necklace. They had disguised their scent with the snowdrops.
Amadea began to advance, and I could only stay where I was. I could hear Amadea’s voice calling for the other creatures to protect me. Then, a female wolf jumped from behind the armored troops and bit their heads off. Meanwhile, Amadea continued to fight and defeated them easily.
Some Birwick creatures showed up to help us and attacked the troops with all their strength. In the end, the troops could be defeated in an instant.
Then, all their movements stopped. My breath caught in my throat and my heart almost stopped beating when the tip of a sword stopped right in front of my neck.
"Cecillia, I’ll give you one last chance. Let us go home."
I looked at Amadea’s eyes who were glaring at us viciously. He growled between his fangs. And when Amadea took a step forward, King Theodore threatened me again. I nervously grabbed a dagger that I always carry with me to make a wound on my hand. I was really nervous. Even my hands were shaking.
Yet, with my last courage, I swung the sharp dagger right behind me and King Theodore screamed in pain. I didn’t want to see the target of my dagger, so I just ran towards Amadea. The Birwick vines were ready to take me elsewhere. Until suddenly, before the vines fully wrapped around my body, two arrows hit right in my chest.
"CECILLIA!!!!"
