Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 683: Pricess Irene’s Feelings
"We’re going to see the sea!?" Irene asked enthusiastically.
"Of course. Didn’t your brother promise you? Why do you sound so shocked?"
Irene glanced left and right then she sat beside Arielle shyly. "Well, it was because I had the academy admission test, so I thought the king had canceled our trip. And now I also failed to pass the test, so there was no reason to do it again."
Arielle smiled faintly. She pulled Irene’s back to sleep on her lap again.
"A promise is a promise. Your brother is not that kind of person. He has promised to take us to see the sea so he will fulfill it unconditionally. Your brother is a good person, Irene."
Irene closed her eyes again when the cold towel was placed on her eyes.
"I know," she replied with a beam.

Irene’s eyes certainly still looked puffy. She was also embarrassed to leave her room, but Arielle forced her to have breakfast together. Ronan, who had been waiting in the dining hall, saw his wife and sister coming.
From the moment they entered through the door, Irene didn’t even look up once. She was too embarrassed to face her brother. So from the start, she kept her head down.
"Good morning," Arielle greeted her husband with a smile on her face.
"Good morning. Where have you been this morning?" Ronan asked curiously because he woke up to find his wife already left early in the morning.
Usually, Ronan would wake up first and then use his free time to look at Arielle’s beautiful face. However, this morning, he didn’t find the girl beside him or even in their room. It was a bad feeling. After looking at the clock, he knew he had overslept.
"I accompanied Irene for a while," Arielle replied then sat beside her husband. Irene also sat beside Arielle.
"Everything okay, Irene?" Ronan asked his younger sister because the child refused to look at him since entering the dining hall.
Irene didn’t know what to say. If she said everything was fine, in reality, she wasn’t. She still regretted why she was so stupid and lacked to write properly. Besides, she also exposed something that shouldn’t be talked to other people.
Not knowing what to answer, Irene just nodded.
"Alright, if all is well. I just wanted to say that someone is waiting for you. I hope you can deal with it well."
"A guest? Who?" asked Irene who finally dared to raise her head.
Ronan could see very clearly the girl’s puffy eyes. Perhaps Arielle had helped the child by cooling them with cold water, but it didn’t completely erase Irene’s puffy eyes.
"You’ll see," Ronan replied then ordered Arielle and Irene to start eating.
The three of them ate silently. Ronan couldn’t accompany Irene or Arielle. He had to return to the border of the neutral territory to check the current conditions. This time, he would be accompanied by William. Meanwhile, Arielle would accompany Irene to meet her guest first before going to the cathedral to start her activities today.
In front of the meeting room door, Aimee was already waiting.
"Good morning, Princess. Are you feeling any better?" asked Aimee while checking Irene’s face and shaking her head slightly. She was really sad because she couldn’t help much. Irene hugged Aimee to thank the woman for accompanying her from the start.
"Okay, since Aimee is already here, I will go to the cathedral," said Arielle, who left the place after making sure Irene looked alright without her.
Aimee bowed respectfully, as well as Irene. "Thank you for your time, Arielle," said Irene gratefully.
Arielle waved her hand, and Irene did the same. Aimee then asked Irene to come in because her guest had been waiting for her. The door opened and Irene’s body immediately stiffened at the sight of the figure that had given her a nightmare last night.
Irene’s grip on Aimee’s hand was getting tight. Aimee knew that the child was scared.
Romario, who had been sitting restlessly, immediately stood up when he heard the door open from the outside. Seeing Princess Irene’s arrival, the man then knelt on the floor while begging for mercy.
"Forgive me, Your Highness! I was so wrong! Forgive me!" He said the same words so many times that it rang quite loudly in the room.
Irene turned to Aimee for help because she didn’t know what to do now.
"What should I do?" asked Irene in a very low voice.
"I don’t know, Princess. Do you forgive him?"
Did Irene forgive the man? She was really confused by this situation. No one had ever apologized to her before. So far, she was the one who always apologized to others while kneeling before them. What should she do?
Irene remembered herself kneeling in the mud, apologizing to Darui for not punishing her father. It was indeed her fault because she spilled the water that should be Darui’s drink, and the man punished her father because of that mistake. Irene could tell how desperate she was every time she begged for forgiveness. The only thing she wanted at that time was forgiveness.
’And perhaps right now, Sir Romario wanted the same thing?’ Irene asked inside her head.
"I-I will forgive you, Sir Romario," she said nervously.
Aimee and Romario turned to Irene in surprise at once. It was so quick and easy for Irene to forgive the man who had caused her to have a nightmare and trauma.
"Isn’t this too soon, Your Highness?" asked Aimee who thought that Irene would run away first.
The child shook her head. "I know how it feels to desperately beg for forgiveness, and it’s the worst feeling I’ve ever felt. I don’t want anyone to go through the same thing," she said simply.
"Y-Your Highness!? Is it true that you will forgive me?" asked Romario in disbelief.
Irene still refused to look back at Romario and just nodded her head in passing.
"Thank you for your kindness! Thank you, Your Highness! I promise to never do that again! I promise, Your highness."
