Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 697: Ronan Showed Up At The Wrong Time
Before Arielle left, Princess Zohra told her to have fun. She just smiled and curtsied Princess Bertha as well as Princess Zohra who seemed to be having a very friendly conversation again. Arielle returned to accompany Aimee in her place.
"Did you get something, Your Majesty?" Aimee asked, while holding out a non-alcoholic drink to Arielle.
"Not yet. Grandmother Bertha doesn’t seem to want to be disturbed. She said she would visit me after the welcoming party for Princess Zohra of Thebis is over."
"Party? This is a party?" asked Aimee who was confused when she looked at the women in the similar revealing dresses except for Arielle, Princess Bertha, as well as Princess Zohra who had different colors. How could it be called a party? No music, and just talking to each other.
CLINK!
Arielle and Aimee looked back, where Princess Bertha was standing at the front while holding a glass of wine and a fork in her hands. It seemed the tinkling sound came from there.
"Ladies!" called Princess Bertha and the room immediately became quiet, waiting for the princess to announce something.
"Princess Zohra has finished a glass of red wine, which means... party!" Princess Bertha exclaimed and it caused the room to get boisterous.
Only Arielle, Aimee, as well as the people Arielle brought looked to the left and right in confusion.
Until finally the door to the room was opened and a row of men entered, making Arielle panic a bit. They each brought a tray of drinks.
Two men sat with their heads down in front of Arielle and Aimee, offering drinks. Aimee received the drink, and they suddenly looked up with twinkling eyes.
"We’re just drinking. Nothing more," Arielle added, making both of them hang their heads low dejectedly.
Arielle instantly closed her eyes when she saw something she shouldn’t have seen. She grabbed Aimee’s hand when she also started to hear something she shouldn’t have heard!
’What’s wrong with this place?! Why are they having sex in public like this?!’
Arielle, who was embarrassed by the situation she was in, briskly stood up with a drink in her hand and left the disgusting room. Aimee, who also couldn’t stand the sight, followed the queen to leave the party where everyone did crazy things beyond reason.
"This place is insane. I don’t know that they would go this far," exclaimed Aimee while following Arielle who also didn’t want to stay in such a kind of ’party’ any longer.
Miss Dressrosa was right. In this place, ethics and morals didn’t apply. Still, how could they do something like that without a tiny bit of shame? In the same place, together. Arielle and Aimee found an open balcony where a golden light from the lamp shone beautifully. The two of them sat on a long seat near a dry plant without leaves.
From outside, this residence looked gloomy, cold, and untouchable, but inside.. it was warm. Even tropical plants grew lush inside, unlike the ones on the outside. This place looked like an abandoned place, if Arielle wanted to say so.
Although they were wearing light and revealing dresses, both Arielle and Aimee didn’t feel cold. The remnants of warmth from within still lingered on their bodies. Arielle was sure that some of the noble ladies or servants as well as guards at the party already had families. So, why did they do that?
Arielle shook her head because she couldn’t understand their train of thoughts. It was hard to find the exact answer because so far she had never been exposed to pleasures the world had. She just knew about some of it after getting married to her husband.
"I think the reason Princess Bertha didn’t let just anyone enter her residence was because she didn’t want the royal family to know what she was doing all this time," said Aimee quietly.
"But, William said that in the past, he had visited here several times to attend a party. A normal party," Arielle replied, emphasizing the word ’normal’.
"I heard that too. Lazarus once told me that he found a room where Princess Bertha kept numerous human torture tools and found an unconscious man lying there. This place gave them trauma and now it is also slowly starting to scare me."
Arielle turned to Aimee. "Let’s wait for Princess Bertha’s explanation. We don’t have to meddle in her personal affairs and what she does. We are here for another purpose. Just pretend that what we saw in the room didn’t happen," Arielle said, giving Aimee some comfort.
What happened earlier was beyond reason, but as Miss Dressrosa had told them before, they shouldn’t judge because this was the life that Grandmother Bertha had chosen. If she chose to provide pleasure to lonely women out there, then there was nothing they could do.
Grandmother Bertha kept this to herself. It didn’t disturb the matters in the palace. Besides, the woman had never interfered with kingdom affairs at all or made a fatal mistake, so there was no reason for Arielle to report this to the king.
"If Grandmother Bertha wants this to remain a secret, then we have no other choice but to forget about it and focus on what we are going to achieve," Arielle continued, showing her wisdom as the queen of this kingdom.
Aimee nodded in agreement.
After sitting together long enough on the balcony, Aimee began to feel the cold night air of Northendell. She began to shiver behind the thin and revealing dress she was wearing. Arielle saw it and offered Aimee to go back to her room. She might be waiting in another meeting room because Grandmother Bertha had said that she would meet her after Princess Zohra’s party was over.
As Arielle and Aimee turned around, they encountered a guard who awkwardly stood by the door. He was shirtless and wearing only a harness belt on his upper body like the men in the room earlier.
"We don’t need you. Go back and find another woman," ordered Arielle with a stern voice. She immediately stepped forward to let Aimee, who looked uncomfortable because there was a man when she was wearing a thin dress like now, to pass through.
"You-Your Majesty... it’s me... from the palace. I joined by the order of His Majesty the King. Several other knights have gone in for an infiltration mission because His Majesty the King wants to talk to you."
"The King? Ronan is here? Where is he now?" asked Arielle who panicked upon knowing that Ronan had already been in the manor. She hoped the man didn’t see what they shouldn’t see.
"His Majesty is waiting in your room."
Arielle turned to Aimee and told the woman to go back to her own room because she was going to talk to her husband now. She wanted Ronan to leave this place immediately.
"Then, I will meet the king now," said Arielle, who walked faster to her room.
The girl opened the door of her room, closed it tightly, and did not forget to lock it. She was worried that Grandmother Bertha would suddenly visit her to talk. Arielle then turned around and found her husband sitting by the fireplace, holding out his hand to warm his body.
Ronan turned his body around and was stunned in his place after seeing Arielle wearing such an alluring dress that accentuated her beautiful body. He couldn’t blink even once. Arielle didn’t notice the pleasant surprise Ronan showed and rushed to the window to draw the curtains so no guards would see from outside.
"Ronan! How did you get in here? What if the guard sees you!?" Arielle asked in a panic.
Ronan stood up. His legs felt a bit stiff as he blinked a few times to confirm what his wife was wearing now.
A light, thin dress with a very low neckline that was revealing her cleavage. The back was also revealing her beautiful back. Ronan stretched out his hand, but it stopped midair. He wasn’t sure whether he could touch the delicate doll in front of him or not.
Seeing Ronan who still kept his mouth shut, Arielle was the first to approach
"Ronan! What happened to you!? Have you been outside too long? I’m sorry if I can’t do it quickly, but I have already conveyed my purpose to Grandmother Bertha, and she said that she will visit me soon to answer my questions," said Arielle to convey the extent of their current mission.
To hell with the mission! Since Arielle first set foot in the room, Ronan couldn’t think straight at all. His brain seemed to momentarily stop, and all he could do was admire her because his wife was breathtakingly beautiful.
Ronan wished he could have come earlier so he could have the chance to see his beautiful wife like this a bit longer. In that case, it would be better if he had just searched for his wife himself.
Wait a minute... Ronan’s body instantly stiffened. A question popped into his head, which had absolutely nothing to do with their current mission. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Are... you walking around out there wearing a dress like this?" Ronan asked, making Arielle frown in confusion.
