Chapter 296 - 296 Coming Out

"Ey, Michael, who are you talking to? That smile on your face looks weird." Noah looked up as he heard the voice of the bearded warrior calling Michael out. While the match was still going, the clock was ticking and time was almost up. However, Michael had spent the best part of the last few minutes on his phone, exchanging messages with someone. Noah got curious as to why he was smiling so eerily, but in the end it would probably be something to do with the fight they would have in a bit, so he would still have to do what he said before.

Noah was still very much angry. Knowing those people were, even if indirectly, related to his mother's death and all the suffering he and maggie had gone through was enough to push him over the edge, and he needed to send a message to those people. He knew very well that the families were formed on the base of powerful blessed, but they would also not dare use all their cards just to eliminate a small threat like him, and so long as they knew he was dangerous enough to warrant attention, he could get a good grasp on their internal affairs. He had still not forgotten what his uncle had done. And maybe this was a better way to end it, forever.

"I was talking to Marcel," Michael responded. "Noah, you're familiar with him, right?" he asked, making Noah pause his thoughts about his uncle and family and focus on him.

"Yeah, we're friends, what happened?" Noah's response made the rest of the blessed who only knew Marcel in name freeze. The fact that this demon was involved with those on the upper levers of the family was both a blessing and a curse. This could be their path to the inner circle, but crossing him also meant they would never have the favor of the family. After all, there were many talks around that the reason the sucession of the family was taking long precisely because Marcel Khan was filtering out the trash from the inner circles of the family.

"He told me to relay this message to you. The XXXX Family is looking forward to the lesson you are going to give to the Hyu Family. No matter what happens in the ring, the Khan Family and the XXXX Family will have your back, you can avenge her whichever way you please," Michael said this with a serious expression. While he had a broad idea based on what happened a few minutes ago, he still had no idea what Marcel was talking about. But he saw Noah's face distort into a smile. The kind which is able to bring shivers to even the most weathered warriors.

"So he knews about this aswell, huh," Noah said while smiling. "Tell him to prepare a very beautiful box for the gift I'm sending the Hyu family tonight."

"Gift? What do you..." Michael started asking, only to see Noah point at the screen, where the time had just reached zero, and the leader of the Hyu family's party was cleaning the blood from his sword.

"Him, packed up in linnen." Michael's eyes widened as he saw the way Noah looked at him and his confidence. He actually wanted him to tell Marcel this. He was legit telling him he would not let that man return alive today. Michael swallowed his saliva as he thought about what Noah would do next. But in the end, he knew those people deserved it, after what they did in the last fight, they might aswell pay. "What do you intend to do? Is there anything you want to say?" he asked Noah as he saw the fire in his eyes lit.

"Just don't stand in my way. There's 15 of them, and many more of us." Michael gulped again as he heard Noah say that, this meant he was bringing the Imps onto the table. "I'm not holding anything back in this fight. I have to make a call now," Noah told him while standing up and walking to the corner of the room. This made everyone look at him strangely, but he was already making his move while walking.

"Hello, who's it?" he asked, since he didn't know for sure who picked the phone up."

"Brother? Do you need something?" Maggie's voice came across, answering his question.

"I think I'll need Lilith tonight, tell her I'll send her to where most familiars stay for a few seconds after you guys leave. Carlos will send someone to take you and Bel to his place."

The next fight would only start in an hour or so. He knew there was a larger wait between the semifinals and finals and a meet and greet between the families. It should be plenty for Carlos to pick her up

"Yes, is something happening? Are you hiding something?" she asked, worriedly.

"No, Maggie. Your brother is just doing some extras to bring you a gift tonight. It's already late, why aren't you guys asleep?"

"I was playing with Bel, he went to bed just now, I was just getting ready."

"I see, get yourself dressed and him too. I'll arrive late so I'll give you the gift in the morning. Good bye."

He waited for her to bit farewell before turning the call off and startint to type. After talking to her, he felt like taking a while to appreciate the cute sister he had, but he was already on the phone, waiting for Carlos to pick up, which also only took a second.

"Noah? Is there something wrong? It's weid for you to call me out of nowhere like this, it's normally the other way around." Carlos' voice was wary, which made Noah realize he knew about something.

"I'm having a fight in the arena soon against someone I need to teach a leasson, I need you to make some arrangements," he said, thinking about Carlos' strange behavior. It was almost like he knew he was in the arena

"Sure, fried, anything goes. I know about the arena, my father called me over as soon as you stepped in. We're watching the fights." As he heard Carlos' words across the line, everything became clear to Noah. Carlos was waiting for his call, he'd probably watched what had just happened too. He was worried about him, but didn't want to call him because it could be a nuissance. 'Good think I have such great friends. I owe him this one,' he thought.

"You what? Nevermind, your family is important, makes sense you would have access to the broadcast.' Noah cleared his throat, before asking his friend a favor. He could send Lilith back to hell and invoke her here, but he couldn't send her back to where his sister was, and he couldn't leave her and Bel alone without any adult. Granted, he could, he trusted them, but he was also wary of someone trying something while nobody was there, and Bel going a bit over the top... Or Maggie setting them on fire. "I need you to pick the kids up from my place. I'll also need you to contact those who got the imps for today, tell them I may need to interrupt the sevice for a bit less than an hour." That last part left Noah a bit anxious. It was annoying to let go of the money those people would be paying, but having more Imps around would sure be helpful. Especially clearing up the bulk of them without burning up too much energy. 'I need to see what I'll do about Mana, I'll probably have to set some of them on fire to refill it for this fight.' Noah thought, realizing calling forth so many imps would take a lot of mana. He also couldn't invoke them ahead of time, since that would make him lose the surprise factor, his biggest ally.

"You know this is very problematic, right? Some people might already be inside fortresses," Carlos' voice seemed worried. Noah thought he had understood what he ment, but he'd taken his words to face value, and thought about calling back everyone.

"I know, that's not what I meant," Noah corrected him. "I'll avoid calling those that are out as much as possible. Send me a message with how many you could not contact. I'll try to not use them. But tell those who are just waiting or something that they call use their contract to call them up after one in the morning or if in dire need. From the time now, the final will probably start at midnight. This also gives people about half an hour to plan ahead to not having them."

"I see." Carlos took a second, thinking about how to make this happen without having to cancel any contracts if possible. "I'll make sure to tell you everything. Someone will be there to get Maggie and Bel in a few minutes, tell them to wait. I'm looking forward to this fight. This could help us get better clients. I'll make sure to ramp up the price accordingly." However, Carlos' words had almost nothing to do with what Noah had just said, focusing more on the benefits of having those powerful see the power of the Imps through both the arena itself and the broadcast.

"You... Is there any moment you don't think business?" Noah rolled his eyes.

"Nope. I'll get going. Send you a heads-up as soon as possible."

"Thanks, man. I couldn't do without you."

"I know, you owe me a drink and some fries next time."

"Sure," Noah wrapped up the call, turning back and walking towards the group, who was talking about something.

"Noah, did you wrap up your thing?" the bearded warrior waved him in. Calling him to join the group.

"Yeah. There was a couple things I needed to make sure before this. I'll be using the monsters in this fight." Noah looked up to probe his and Michael's reaction, but both seemed very pleased.

"Good. Then, like we said before. The orders from the Khan Family are out, this is for you too, Noah." Michael looked at him. "Do not hesitate. Fight, because your lives are on the line. The family will have our back even if we wipe their entire team from this planet," Michael said with a smile on his face.. "Now, we should go greet the other families," he said, with a smirk while looking at Noah, who just nodded.
