Lucky Spin: Godly Programming-Chapter 58: lower your voice
Chapter 58: Chapter 58: lower your voice
Jeff then opened Shareit and passed the app to her.
After the transfer, she installed it with excitement, knowing the app had many features that could assist her with her studies.
"Oh, by the way, do you have Wi-Fi?" Jeff asked with a smile.
"No, I’m just using data. Why?" Jessica asked, looking at his smiling face.
Jeff moved closer, his face nearing her ear, typically closing the distance between them.
Jessica was stunned but didn’t back away. She could sense that he wasn’t the type of person to make her uncomfortable, despite the proximity.
And she was right, "Well, actually, I know the password for the Wi-Fi just beside this place. You want it?" he whispered as he leaned back.
Hearing this, she was in awe, "Did someone give it to you?" she inquired.
"Nope, I hacked it, but don’t tell anyone, okay?" he said, lowering his voice.
Hearing this, her eyes filled with admiration. There was actually such a genius in this boarding house that she hadn’t known about until now.
"Give it to me, or I’ll tell everyone," She said, closing the distance and gripping his arms with her hands.
Rose peeked at the kitchen door, watching saw this very scene itself unfold, making her stunned.
"Are young people this active? It’s only been a few minutes, and their relationship has already deepened," she said in disbelief.
"But this is a good thing. The girl seems to be a good one," she said with a happy smile, returning to her cooking.
The look she gave Jeff was filled with playful threat, but Jeff could tell she was just joking and teasing him.
"Alright, alright, I’ll tell you, but don’t tell anyone else, okay?" he said, raising his arms as if surrendering.
He then passed his phone, where the Wi-Fi password was displayed. Jessica chuckled as she scanned the QR code, finally connecting.
She trembled with happiness, "Thanks to you, I don’t need to load anymore," she said, filled with gratitude.
Even though she had a big allowance from her parents, spending less was always better. Jeff simply nodded in agreement.
The two of them continued their conversation, and their relationship grew closer as they became more comfortable with each other.
After some time, the food was ready, and they sat down for dinner. Once they were done, Jeff helped with the dishes, and Jessica volunteered to lend a hand as well.
Rose, seeing this as another opportunity to leave them alone, quietly stepped out, leaving them in the kitchen.
Jeff’s job was to dry the dishes while Jessica did the washing. Afterward, they both returned to their room.
Jeff took a quick shower to freshen up. It was already 8 in the evening, and as he checked his email, he saw there was no reply from Cyberquest, causing him to sigh.
Since it took a lot of time for the approval, Jeff opened his laptop and decided to work on improving RAZi, focusing on its graphical interface and adding more enhancements.
After a few hours of coding and programming, he finally stopped and closed his laptop. He placed it on the small table and was about to go to sleep.
When someone knocked at the door, Jeff opened it to find the person was none other than Jessica, dressed in a long-sleeve and pajama made out of cotton while carrying a pillow.
"Are you going to sleep?" she asked.
Jeff, surprised, wondered what she was doing here in the middle of the night.
"Not for the moment. Why?" he asked.
"Aren’t you going to let me in first?" she said, looking at him with a strange expression.
Jeff hearing this, felt as though his hearing had been damaged and needed some repair.
Seeing him frozen there, she wondered if her charm had somehow diminished.
After a moment, Jeff responded, "I think this is not a good idea."
"What do you mean? If I’m not afraid, why are you?" she harrumphed, brushing past him as she entered the room.
"Hmm, your room is actually not bad. I thought boys’ rooms were usually disorganized, dirty, and smelly. I guess that’s not the case," she said, sitting on the bed as if she were completely at ease in his space.
Seeing this, Jeff sighed and closed the door. He stood in front of her and asked, "So, is there anything you need from me?"
She sat there, swinging her feet up and down leisurely, "Not really. I was just bored. So I’m here to pass the time," she replied casually.
Hearing this, Jeff felt speechless. Did she not see him as a man at all? They had just met, and she was already in his room.
Jessica did see him as a man, but not in a bad way. She wasn’t afraid when she entered, since she was confident in her judgment on his personality.
Jeff could only sigh as the system sounded in front of him.
[Lucky Spin System]
[2 days has passed. One spin has been given to the host.]
(Do you want to spin?)
[Yes] or [No]
"No," he replied.
Then the system panel closed on its own. Jeff was about to lay down on his bed when he heard her speak.
"Hey, if you can hack the Wi-Fi from our neighbor’s house, can you hack my SocialHub account?" she said aloud.
Jeff hurriedly covered her mouth, earning a muffled groan. The two of them fell onto the bed, with Jeff on top.
Jessica’s eyes widened from the sudden action as she struggled, her face turning red. Her hair spread out around her, enhancing her charm.
"Hey, lower your voice. What if they hear what I did?" he whispered to her.
Hearing this, she nodded, and Jeff sighed in relief. He then got off of her, leaving Jessica still lying there with a dazed look on her face.
Jeff, remembering what he had done, looked at her and said, "Sorry about that. I... I just acted without thinking," feeling ashamed of his actions.
Seeing his guilty expression, the small displeasure in Jessica’s heart faded away. She could see his sincere apology and the innocence in his look.
It was also partly her fault for talking so loud, especially considering that Jeff’s room was so close to the neighbor’s house.
Also, it was night, so her voice might have been overheard. With that, she let him off the hook.
But seeing that he was waiting for her forgiveness, she smiled, as an idea formed in her mind.
"Alright then, since it’s my fault for talking so loud just now, but..." she stopped with a finger on her lips.
"But what?" Jeff inquired.
"But you touched me and even pinned me down while covering my mouth. That’s worse than what I did earlier," she said, scolding him like a teacher, while Jeff simply listened.
Jessica then smiled and continued, "With that, help me recover my lost account, and then we’re even," she said, sitting on the bed with her legs crossed and arms folded, subtly pushing her chest up.
Jeff nodded and replied, "Sure, I’ll go get my laptop."
With that, he opened his laptop, which had been in sleep mode, and it seems to be another round of programming will began.
