Chapter 35: Velhira

Location: Obsidian Valleys – Cradle of Echoes

The world trembled.

Elias stood at the center of a shattered cathedral, his Core pulsing like a miniature sun. Beside him, Aurora floated slightly above the stone, her chains alive and glowing — no longer broken, but reborn.

Across from them, Velhira hovered with serene menace.

And then... she began to change.

---

Velhira’s True Form

Skin peeled like silk. Her divine beauty cracked. Underneath was something deeper—

Raw lust given shape.

Her eyes stretched, glowing like two collapsing stars. Her voice echoed with thousands of others—Hosts she had corrupted, chained, consumed.

Her body pulsed with tendrils of liquid fire and bound desire.

> [WARNING: Velhira has activated Godcore Suppression Field]

System functions weakened by 42% within field range.

"Beautiful, isn’t it?" Velhira whispered, her voice layered with seduction and sorrow. "This is what desire becomes... when it’s never satisfied."

She raised her hand—and the sky obeyed.

---

The Battle Begins

Dozens of chain-like constructs erupted from the air, each tipped with spikes made from cursed memories.

Aurora reacted first, her Origin Chains forming a shield around Elias.

CLANG.

Sparks flew as their powers collided.

Elias leapt through the chaos, eyes flaring, system burning through its limiters.

> [Skill Activated: Soul Sync Burst – Level 2]

Temporarily shares HP and defense with Aurora.

He landed beside Velhira, punching forward—but his fist barely brushed her illusion.

She was everywhere. Nowhere. Laughing.

---

Aurora’s Counterattack

With a scream, Aurora’s chains whipped upward, piercing Velhira’s left shoulder.

For the first time—

Velhira bled.

The goddess hissed.

"You shouldn’t have remembered."

Aurora’s reply came cold: "You shouldn’t have erased me."

She pulled back—and the divine flesh tore.

Elias surged forward with a system strike—

> [New Combo: Chainbreaker – Origin + Harem Core Fusion]

He slammed both hands into the ground.

Red glyphs erupted under Velhira’s feet.

A flash.

BOOM.

She was thrown backward, crashing through obsidian spires.

The smoke cleared.

Velhira floated up, now half-formed—her body twitching between human beauty and monstrous hunger.

"Enough," she spat.

The valleys began to break apart.

---

> [Warning: Dominion Core Under Attack – Long-range strike detected]

[Aya and Lilith mobilized.]

> [System Message: If you do not retreat, permanent Core collapse possible.]

Elias fell to one knee, coughing blood.

Aurora rushed to him. "We can’t stay."

"I won’t leave with her still standing," Elias growled.

Aurora grabbed his face. Her chains circled his chest like armor.

"Then we leave together. Or not at all."

--

Mira’s voice burst through the comm-crystal.

"Teleport relay ready—if you’re alive, get out now!"

Velhira screamed one last command:

"IF YOU ESCAPE ME NOW, I WILL UNLEASH WHAT LIES BENEATH."

Elias stared at her as he activated the escape crystal.

"We’ve already seen your worst," he said. "Now wait for ours."

Light swallowed them.

They vanished.

Alone in the shattered cathedral, Velhira trembled—not in fear, but rage.

Then... she stepped back to her throne.

And whispered:

> "Release the Seraphim Core."

Chains snapped far beneath the earth.

And something else opened its eyes.

Location: Dominion Tower – Medical Core Deck

The teleport beam landed hard.

Elias collapsed first, barely conscious, smoke rising from his back. Aurora landed beside him, shielding him with what remained of her chains. Both of them were battered, drained, but alive.

Aya, Mira, Lilith, and Ivy were already waiting.

Mira rushed forward. "His pulse is scattered—Aurora, your system shielding barely held."

Aurora nodded. "He used everything... I tried to carry the rest."

Aya knelt, touching his chest. "Then thank you—for keeping him alive."

Lilith narrowed her eyes. "But this isn’t over."

> [Alert: Dominion Under Surveillance]

[New Threat Identified: SEER PROTOCOL – Level Ω]

Ivy turned from the console. "Velhira didn’t just attack. She marked someone."

Mira pulled up the data stream.

A single name glowed red.

Rina Vale.

Lilith frowned. "Rina? The librarian girl? Quiet... unclaimed?"

Aya’s expression shifted. "She’s the only bonded Host Elias hasn’t fully synced with yet."

Mira’s eyes widened. "She’s also the only one whose soul wasn’t hardened. She’s open... vulnerable."

> [Velhira’s Curse Seed: Planted in Rina Vale – Time Until Bloom: 12 hours]

Aurora’s voice cut in, hard.

"If the seed blooms, Velhira can possess her. In mind. Body. Spirit."

Elias coughed, slowly rising. "Then we don’t let it happen."

Location: Dominion Garden Archives

Rina sat under a white blossom tree, unaware of the poison flowing through her soul.

She read a book—her hands trembling slightly. Her chest felt tight. Her breath shallow.

Behind her eyes, Velhira whispered.

"You’re beautiful, Rina. Too beautiful to be left out. Don’t you want to be his favorite...?"

She didn’t know whose voice it was.

But it felt warm.

--

Elias burst into the garden, Aurora and Aya flanking him.

"Rina!" he shouted.

She looked up slowly, blinking—then dropped her book.

Her pupils had turned gold.

She whispered, "Elias... I... something’s inside me..."

Velhira’s voice echoed from her lips.

"Claim her, Elias. Break the rules. Or I’ll rewrite her."

> [Emergency Sync Override Available]

Warning: Syncing with an unready host may cause permanent emotional entanglement and memory bleed.

Aurora turned to him. "The system won’t protect you if you do this. You’ll feel what she feels... everything. And so will the others."

Aya stepped back. "If you don’t... she’s gone."

Elias walked forward.

Kneeled beside Rina.

Held her trembling hand.

And whispered:

"Then I’ll break the rules myself."

---

> [Soul Link Request: Rina Vale]

[Override Accepted: Lust System Bond – Irregular Initiation]

[WARNING: UNKNOWN EMOTIONAL DEPTH DETECTED]

Rina gasped.

Their hands glowed.

Velhira screamed through her voice—

"NO!"

Light exploded from the bond.

And when it cleared—

Rina was crying in Elias’s arms.

Whispering:

"I didn’t want to be forgotten..."

Elias held her tighter.

"You were never forgotten.

Location: Temple of Broken Love

The goddess stood still, her expression unreadable.

One failed attempt. One more host claimed.

But her fingers trembled slightly.

She turned to the chained creature behind her throne.

"Wake the Seraphim fully. If he won’t break—then his system will."

And the chains snapped—

One by one.

Location: Dominion Tower – Inner Archives Chamber

Rina lay unconscious in a pool of golden light.

Elias sat beside her, recovering from the emotional blast of their raw sync. His mind still buzzed with fragments of Rina’s memories—quiet afternoons, buried sorrow, and something else...

Something not hers.

Aya stood guard nearby, her blade across her lap. "She’s stable, but whatever you unlocked—her core’s mutating."

Mira entered with a system scanner.

"I’ve never seen this signature before. It’s not Lust-based. It’s... Archivist."

Lilith narrowed her eyes. "As in the class of system recorders Velhira wiped out centuries ago?"

Ivy stepped forward, face pale. "But they were all... executed."

Aurora looked at Elias. "She’s a living relic."

Rina’s eyes fluttered open—no longer gold, but white-blue, glowing faintly.

She sat up slowly.

"I saw it," she whispered. "The real beginning. Before Lust. Before Velhira."

Elias leaned closer. "What did you see?"

She looked him straight in the eye.

"A machine. Buried beneath the moons. Not a goddess. A program. She wasn’t born divine... she was uploaded."

Everyone went silent.

Mira dropped her tablet.

"You’re saying the Lust System... is artificial?"

Rina nodded.

"And Velhira isn’t its creator. She’s its jailer.

[Trait Unlocked: Memory Dive – Can access sealed records through physical or emotional contact.]

> [Passive Skill: Red Thread Sense]

Rina touched Elias’s arm gently.

Her eyes glazed over—entering his system core.

She gasped.

"You’re carrying more than one system," she whispered. "There’s something beneath yours."

Elias froze.

"What?"

She placed a hand on his chest.

"A Core meant for a different ruler. You weren’t supposed to be the Harem Lord..."

The lights dimmed.

Rina’s voice deepened—channeling an ancient script.

> "He was born not to rule desire...

But to unwrite it.

The True Core of Dismantling.

Buried by the first lie...

The Lie Named Velhira."

The silence afterward was terrifying.

Mira shook her head. "This isn’t just about Elias anymore. He’s not rising to power—he’s rising to end it."

Lilith cracked her knuckles. "Then no wonder she wants him dead."

Location: Temple of Broken Love

Velhira gripped her throne tightly, her face finally cracking.

"So... the girl remembered."

The chained creature behind her throne stirred.

It opened its eyes—burning gold like the sun.

Velhira whispered:

"Time to bring the Seraphim into the field."

She turned toward the broken sky.

"And show Elias what it truly means to defy the divine."
