She looked around and she was the very first one to defeat her opponent, she could help the other but she had to wait a little for her Mana to recover after casting spells like that.

Xavier stood up facing the snake with his replica moving away slowly, now the snake didn’t attack as it was confused, in it’s eyes there were two Xavier, two targets.
The snake was blind in one of it’s eyes as Xavier had damaged it with his [Radiant Lance], now he had to find a way to force the snake’s mouth open and cast his spell.
His flame spells wasn’t one that came out of his hands, his [Firestorm] came from above so he had to position the snake’s mouth upwards and then blast it.
Xavier didn’t have time to look around at others who were still fighting, but slowly he was moving to the side.
Xavier wiped the sweat from his brow, his grip tightening on his sword.
The ironfang snake was still watching him, its single good eye flicking between him and his ice clone. It didn’t know which one to attack.
The clone moved first, circling the snake from the side. The ironfang hissed, unsure of which Xavier to focus on.
The snake finally decided on a target and went after his clone, it struck at the clone, its fangs snapping shut on empty air as the icy figure dodged at the last second.
The clone countered with a swing of its own sword, but the blade did little damage. Still, the distraction was working.
Xavier took the chance to sprint forward. He needed the snake to keep attacking the clone for his plan to work, he was going for the snake’s second eye to blind it but it was at the other side and he didn’t want the snake to turn its focus back on him.
Xavier went for the already injured eye to blind it completely, as soon as the snake went at the clone Xavier dash in when the head of the snake was close to the ground.
The ironfang hissed in pain as the blade nicked the already damaged eye. It thrashed, its tail whipping out blindly.
Xavier barely had time to react. He jumped back, but the tip of the tail still caught his side, sending him tumbling across the stone floor but he quickly regained his balance as a smile formed on his face.
The snake wanted to turn its attention towards Xavier but the clone attacked.
The ice clone attacked again, lunging at the snake’s blind spot. The ironfang twisted, trying to bite it, but the clone jumped back, dodging with inhuman precision.
Xavier saw his opening. He ran forward again, this time aiming for the inside of the snake’s mouth as it snapped at his clone.
This time he was ready, the moment the jaws parted, he raised his hands.
[Radiant Lance]
A bright spear of light shot forward, slamming directly into the snake’s other eye.
The ironfang let out a deafening screech, rearing back in agony. Its entire body convulsed, its tail thrashing wildly as both of its eyes were damaged by Xavier.
’Now’s my chance’
Xavier’s clone sprinted toward a broken piece of stone, using it as a platform to launch itself high into the air.
Xavier’s brilliant plan involved the suicide of his clone, but his clone didn’t have emotions and could be brought back as long as Xavier had Mana.
The massive snake thrashed in agony, its head tilted back, jaws snapping open and shut unpredictably. Xavier had no clear shot to cast his spell.
But the clone landed precisely where it needed to—right between the snake’s gaping jaws. It didn’t dive in completely. Instead, it wedged itself in place, using its own body to keep the serpent’s mouth pried open.
Exactly what he needed.
[Firestorm]
A vortex of flames roared to life above, swirling with intense heat. The ironfang realized had no idea what was happening as it tried to crush the clone holding it’s mouth open when the firestorm descended.
BOOM!
The fire poured straight down its throat, igniting everything inside including the clone which melted from the intense heat. The snake’s body spasmed violently as flames erupted from its mouth and nostrils. It slammed into the walls, shaking the entire dungeon.
Xavier jumped backward as the snake’s tail launched towards him, he landed hard, rolling to absorb the impact, the snake continued trashing around and slowly it began to settle.
Xavier coughed, pushing himself up as the smoke cleared.
The ironfang gave one final shudder before collapsing, its charred form twitching… then going still.
Xavier let out a long breath, and sat down on the dungeon floor.
It was finally over and then he turned towards the others, Sylve was already done and the Harpy was also done using a little flame and her wind spells to increase the potency of the flames, while the dwarf created something to deal fire damage.
The snake facing the dwarf was still trashing around before finally settling down.
Immediately Xavier could see Sylve running towards him, he had no idea why but stood up as she reached where he was.
"You didn’t tell me you could use light spells?" Sylve spoke immediately.
Xavier knew light magic was extremely rare, he had never even seen a human with light magic, so he had to come up with something.
"That’s the only light spell I can use" Read latest chapters at novelbuddy
"Wow, it’s extremely rare, even among elves, I had no idea a human could use light magic, you must have been training for years, then why did yous at you’re not good at magic?"
"You must keep your trump card hidden till you need it, I don’t tell anyone about my spells, but I like using a sword so I just do" Xavier answered.
"It seems we’re done with this floor, if it was that easy we should have done it alone" the dwarf spoke as he walked towards the two of them.
