Lustful Demon King: Summoned by the Demon Goddesses!-Chapter 93: Nightengale Town!
The War Hall was the last place Orianna needed to show Jax, so after that, he just reviewed what she had already showed him, admiring her good work. ๐ง๐๐๐๐คโฏ๐๐๐ฐ๐ฃโฏ๐ญ.๐คโด๐ฎ
As he did that, the living tactical map beneath their feet continued to shift, battle scenarios unfolding and collapsing in rapid succession. Entire battle campaigns were simulated, refined, discarded, and rebuilt in the span of seconds to constantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Military.
There was also constant simulations and projections of impromptu attacks by the Hero Party and Holy Knights onto the City to find the perfect way to react, hero deployment countermeasures, and even annihilation protocols that were cycled endlessly above them to make the military as ready as possible for any potential situation.
Jax stood at the center of it all, hands relaxed at his sides, golden eyes reflecting a thousand possible wars
Orianna watched him closely, feeling his perspective shifting and his aura becoming even more refined, as if his authority within the Demon Kingdom had settled more deeply into place.
After a long moment, Jax exhaled.
"Alright," he said calmly. "This part of the foundation is solid."
Oriannaโs tail swayed behind her, slow and pleased. "Only solid?"
He smirked. "If I say โperfect,โ maybe youโll slack off and focus on other stuff, gotta keep you locked in,"
Her laughter rang out, bright and sharp. "You know me too well already."
They exited the War Hall together, passing officers and strategists who snapped to attention as the Demon King walked by. Jax acknowledged them with nods, brief glances, nothing theatrical, yet every movement reinforced what they already knew.
This was not a ruler who needed to shout. His power and his very presence carried an immense authority that compelled all of them to put their faith and trust in him, and he constantly succeeded their expectations.
He was authority.
Outside the Citadel, the vastness of the Headquarters stretched endlessly, activity never slowing. As they walked, Orianna spoke, less formally now, more like a proud architect showing off her lifeโs work.
"Recruitment is still climbing," she said. "Especially from the outer territories. Your actions against the Heroes spread faster than I expected."
Jax hummed, "Fear spreads fast. Hope spreads faster."
She glanced at him, surprised, then smiled faintly.
At the edge of the Headquarters district, Jax stopped.
Orianna did as well, sensing the shift.
"I wonโt linger," he said. "Youโve got momentum here. Keep pushing it."
"Youโre leaving already?" she asked, though there was no disappointment in her voice, only understanding.
He nodded. "Itโs time I formally introduce myself to the Vampire Clan."
Her eyes gleamed. "Nightengale."
"Nightengale," he echoed.
Orianna tilted her head slightly, studying him. "Careful. Vampires are... particular."
Jax smiled, slow and confident. "So am I."
She laughed again, then dipped her head in a warriorโs bow, "Iโm sure everything will go flawlessly,"
"Letโs hope so," Jax said with a nod and stepped away.
The Capital faded behind him as he moved toward open air, the sky above darkening naturally as if responding to his intent. He lifted his gaze and spoke a single name.
"Hydra."
The world answered
A thunderous ripple tore through the clouds as space bent violently, not folding gently like Jaxโs magic, but parting under sheer presence. A massive draconic form descended from the rift, wings blotting out construction lights and casting the ground below into shadow.
Hydra.
Her scales shimmered like polished obsidian veined with deep crimson light, each movement radiating ancient power. Multiple horned heads emerged from the darkness, eyes opening one by one, each gaze locking instantly onto Jax.
A low, resonant growl rolled through the air. An affectionate one as the Emerald Dragoness landed with a controlled force, the impact cracking reinforced stone beneath her claws. Workers and soldiers nearby instinctively knelt, some in awe, others in reverent fear.
Hydra lowered her central head, massive and regal, until it was level with Jax.
" You called, Master. "
Her voice reverberated directly through his mind, layered and harmonious despite its monstrous depth.
"Long flight," Jax said, stepping forward without hesitation. "Up for it?"
A ripple of amusement passed through the bond.
" Always. "
He mounted her smoothly, settling between armored ridges as her wings spread wide. With a single powerful beat, they surged into the air, the Capital shrinking rapidly beneath them.
The world changed as they flew.
Terrain shifted from the ordered brilliance of the Capital into darker, wilder regions of the Demon Kingdom. Forests thickened, mountains rose jagged and sharp, mana density deepening until the air itself felt heavier, richer.
Then, all of a sudden, it went from sunny daytime skies to eternal night time darkness. The sky ahead turned ink-black, stars flaring into existence like scattered diamonds. Twin moons rose unnaturally fast, one crimson, one pale silver, bathing the land below in eternal twilight.
Hydra crossed the threshold, and Jax felt it immediately.
Nightengale Territory.
Here, the sun didnโt exist.
Vast forests of obsidian-barked trees stretched endlessly, their leaves faintly luminescent, glowing in hues of violet and deep blue. Rivers reflected moonlight like liquid mercury. Mist clung low to the ground, thick with mana and the subtle scent of blood.
Cities emerged gradually.
Spired architecture rose from cliffs and canopies alike, gothic and elegant, built vertically and inward rather than sprawling outward. Bridges arched between towers, lanterns glowing softly, their light never harsh.
And at the heart of it all, Nightengale City.
Perched atop a colossal stone plateau, surrounded by cascading waterfalls that fell endlessly into darkness, the Vampire capital stood timeless and watchful. Massive walls etched with ancient sigils encircled it, while spires pierced the sky like obsidian fangs.
As Hydra approached, alarms immediately began to ring out.
Figures appeared along the walls, tall, elegant silhouettes with glowing eyes. Wings unfurled. Banners shifted in the night wind as they spotted Hydra, ready to attack before they saw Jax riding her, recognizing him.
Hydra slowed, descending in a controlled spiral before landing just outside the main gates. Jax dismounted, boots touching stone as the mist parted around him.
The gates of Nightengale began to open and standing on the other side, Jax immediately spotted Nulissa.
