Magic Academy's Villain Bodyguard: I Must Tame All The Princesses-Chapter 16: Training
Azariah woke up early in the morning, before the sun had risen up.
From the closet, he quickly took his tracksuit and went outside.
It was close to 4:00 AM, and there was still quite a touch of night in the sky with the cold air that seeped into his skin.
Heading to the academy tracks, he only saw a handful of students running and doing exercises.
’It’s 4 AM and still some of the students are up this early.’
He had chosen this time because almost no one would be awake this early.
The classes were supposed to start at 7 AM, so even the early risers would be seen here at like 5 to 5:30 AM.
He understood that there were still some body freaks that came this early, so he wasn’t that surprised.
Unlike his previous world, the exercises to train your body here were quite similar but still roughly different.
It was because your physical state here didn’t just correspond to your physical attributes but also your mana organs inside your body.
Your mana node and vessels were just as important as your heart and blood vessels.
It was as if you had two bodies, and you had to take care of both of them just as equally.
As a new Synapth, your mana node and vessels took time to adjust to your body and the mana in the air.
In doing so, many impurities were created in your body, both permanent and temporary.
The permanent ones got removed as you gradually progressed through the ranks, clearing and purifying your vessels and core—also contributing to your increase in strength.
The temporary ones could often form in your body through an overuse of magic or just mana intake in a dirty area.
Such impurities could only be removed by natural exercise and rest.
In the early hours of the day before the sun’s rising, one could obtain fresh mana intake.
It was useful for both exercise and removing the impurities.
As Azariah started exercising, he quickly realized how bad his body was.
"Huff... Huff..."
Sweat drenched his clothes as he struggled to even keep his eyes open.
’Just how long has it been since this guy touched a track?’
But it was working. He was getting a refreshing feeling scouring through his body.
Very little, but it was there.
As he was running, suddenly, a familiar figure brushed past him at insane speeds.
With his huge back and familiar skin tone, Azariah was quick to recognize him.
Igor Solisius.
’Of course he’s here. Just when was this guy not running or training?’
His body was a prime example of what everyday training looked like.
’I wonder how strong his mana vessels and mana node are.’
As if sensing his gaze, Igor turned, and their gazes met.
It was as if the guy was saying, "What?"
For a moment, Azariah was about to reply back but then stopped and shook his head.
The two stared at each other in silence for a second before Igor turned and started running again.
And their session continued like that for two and a half hours before Azariah had to return for the classes.

’It’s no use,’ Azariah remarked.
While he felt the slight differences from the training session, this method wouldn’t get him nearly as strong as he needed to be in the little time he had.
He needed faster and better methods, even if they could be painful or risky.
Fortunately, as the creator of the game, he knew several ways to grow stronger—some that still hadn’t been discovered yet.
Azariah opened his terminal.
[1,000,000 Evos]
Evo was the unit currency of the game, with its value almost being equal to the real-time US dollar from back in Azariah’s world.
Maybe this was the first time a side character in a game had so much money, but being from the top 10 clans had its perks.
’Thank God there’s not another problem up my ass.’
Opening the online marketplace on his terminal, Azariah quickly scoured through the items for his plan.
They ranged from herbs to chemicals and even spices.
All around, his total cart cost him roughly 15,000 Evos. While it was very expensive, it was worth it for what he had bought.
The recipe he was going to make would be worth hundreds of thousands in the future.
Now that he was done, Azariah quickly took a bath before putting on his clothes and reporting outside to Alyssa’s room.
Twenty minutes before the class was about to start, Alyssa stepped outside of her room.
Azariah saw her surprised for a second when she saw him already standing outside her room.
’She was definitely expecting me to sleep late again.’
But she said nothing, and the duo made their way to the classes.

Yawn...
Azariah was trying his best to pay attention to the class, but the details were just so boring. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"You there, please stand up."
He was shaken awake when he saw the professor’s eyes behind his spectacles directed at him.
At the same time, so were the whole class’s glares as well.
Ever since the incident from yesterday, he was being glared at as if he were the lifelong enemy of the whole class.
Nonetheless, Azariah stood up.
"Yes?"
"I saw you yawning over there. This is not a joke, young man; this information is really important for your future as a Synapth," he reprimanded, his eyes fixated on Azariah.
The latter remained composed.
"Yeah, I know. I just knew about all this already, so I felt no need to pay attention."
For a moment, he saw anger flash through the professor’s eyes, but he quickly covered it up.
There was now an amusing grin on his face, as if he saw a chance to humiliate Azariah now.
"Oh, so would you care to explain what our core fundamental purpose as Synapths is?"
Azariah nodded, his expression unchanged.
"Of course. The fundamental purpose of our existence as Synapths is not to compete amongst ourselves but to close the gateways that open to the second dimension and eradicate the Nothers."
’Too easy. I created this game, you grandpa.’
"And what are Nothers?" he questioned further.
But Azariah was still unfazed.
"They are creatures that appear through the gateways in countries to harm humanity. They are mindless monsters that only seek destruction, and eradicating them is a fundamental step towards closing the gateways forever."
By now, it was clear to the professor that Azariah wasn’t joking.
He really knew it all.
So he chose not to continue further.
"Very well, you may sit down."
And so Azariah did.
After that incident, the classes continued as normal until it was time for him to report finally to the Disciplinary Council.
