Magic Academy's Villain Bodyguard: I Must Tame All The Princesses-Chapter 34: Breaking Down The Plan
It was truly a precarious situation. They were in a dilemma.
News had broken out to the Academy Council and then later Regulation Committee that Division 1 students had started disappearing.
No camera footage, no signs, no recollection was left of them as they just suddenly vanished.
What made it worse was that it happened at this time. A time where the academy was planning an event.
It was unusual to say the least for every senior.
Wasn’t it Division 2 students who were weaker? Why were they completely fine?
Yes, they were larger in amount but the nobles were significantly stronger. You couldn’t just easily take them out.
Especially with how weak the Division 2 students were. The fact that Division 2 students were completely good said alot about the situation.
This would prove to Amelia that there was indeed a foreign force targetting the Division 1 students through the weak mentality of the Div 2’s.
And that force was none other than Rosalith.
However, this had complicated and made things much dire than they were before.
Teachers at the academy did not interfere with any of these mishaps so it was useless to report to them.
It was the sole responsibility of the seniors. The Academy Council and the Committees. This was how students were supposed to nurture themselves for the fights ahead.
An even worse news was that the Division 1 students had took notice of the disappearance and blamed it on the Div 2’s.
The riots were much worse now. Everyone was out there trying to kill each other.
They could not afford these fights at the event and yet they were running out of time.
Fortunately, the situation was still at hand and wasn’t that widespread at the academy.
It was why all committees had called for a meeting today.
A single leak outside to the students would spread to the noble families and this would turn into a much larger issue.
"This is the current situation at hand. The Academy Council is asking us to reinforce our laws but that clearly turns the situation much worse." Darius explained.
"Can we not cancel the event?" Yvan questioned and Captain Oslo shook his head.
"It’s a tradition that happens every year. Doing so would not only make us look weak but also raise tensions and rumors that we cannot afford."
Darius and the other captains nodded in approval.
Everyone was silent as they kept their head in their arms and tried to think.
It was then that Melissa’s gaze connected with Azariah, who was still quite calm about the situation.
"You seemed to know this would happen before it even did, didn’t you?" She asked and everyone’s attention turned to Azariah.
The latter simply nodded, not afraid to admit it.
"Then surely you had a plan for what was going to happen right now as well?" She narrowed her eyes.
Looking in them, she knew that he had a plan. No, she believed in it.
And Azariah, who was waiting for this, nodded.
"I do."
His words caused everyone to raise their brows. Maybe if this was the Azariah from before, they wouldn’t even have thought to ask him but now..
It was different.
After spending quite some time with him, they knew he was an intellectual individual who had many secrets to him.
The guy was barely anything like what it was written on paper. So naturally, they were inclined to listen.
Even Yvan, who couldn’t stand an inch of him mostly.
"I’ve got good news and the bad news, which one would you like first?" Azariah asked, composed.
The captains looked at each other as if he was trying to play a game but then they turned back to him.
"We’d like to hear what’s the worst part first." Darius said and the white-haired man nodded.
"The bads news is, you can’t do anything to prevent it at this point. The situation is much worse and far gone than you can imagine."
Melissa narrowed her eyes.
"What do you mean?"
Azariah shrugged, as if it was obvious.
He would be lying if he said he wasn’t happy about this disappearances event. It made his job much easier to bring everyone’s attention to the event.
"What I mean is that there’s no way to stop Rosalith’s intervention inside the academy now. They’ve already infiltrated, probably with their members and into the minds of the weaker students."
A collective exchange of looks happened across the table but no one said anything. They knew Azariah had yet to continue.
And he did.
He explained the whole event on what happened. How they couldn’t cancel the event now.
How they planned to use the event to cause chaos and this had been happening the moment the riots started.
How the disappearances were just a distraction to the main attack that was going to happen on the event.
They wanted to distract the seniors to the disappearances so they could full fledgedly target the newcomers.
After all, what better way was there to destroy an academy than through destroying the trust of the admission takers.
What before seemed ridiculous to the captains and Darius started to make sense and they realized the hopelessness of the situation.
"So you’re trying to say the only way for us to counter them back is on the event now." Darius looked at him.
Azariah nodded but raised his finger.
"Partly. It doesn’t mean you should ignore the disappearances at all. If they notice us not reacting to their kidnappings, that would raise their guards."
He pointed out. It made everyone on the table raise their brows as they hadn’t seemed to have thought of it.
All of them were now looking at Azariah with impressed glances. Even Yvan, who was surprised that he knew so much.
Regardless, Azariah didn’t stray away from the points.
"We should remember that the best way to counter an attack is to not let the attacker know that it’s being countered. If a deer was to look at the lion before it lunged, then it would make its whole innocent act of drinking water useless."
The captains nodded their head in approval but then Oslo turned to him.
"If you knew this much then why had you not thought to tell us about it before?" He looked at him suspiciously.
However, Azariah simply shrugged his shoulders.
"I would’ve if people weren’t busy trying to put me to the ground or bash my head into the wall." Azariah looked sideways at Darius and Melissa, who coughed.
But then, he turned back to Oslo.
"Regardless of how I knew or not, what we can do now is to not only focus on raising our focuses at the event but also focus on how to get the hostages back as well. Rosalith would not hesitate to use them as hostages if we manage to fight them back."
Melissa turned to him expectantly.
"Do you have a plan on how to do that as well?"
A smile pulled at Azariah’s lips at the question.
"I’m glad you asked." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
He looked at the whole table with a glint in his eyes.
"What would you like first, the good news or the bad news?"
