Male Lead's Canon Fodder Wife-Chapter 1381: Unfilial Son
When Aunt Li heard her son's words, she slammed the table and asked, "Ah Sang, is this how you talk to your mother? Don't you know that I did it for your own good?"
Hearing his mother's righteous tone, Li Sang felt both angry and frustrated. He took a deep breath to calm himself and replied, "Mother, how many times have I told you that I don't want to marry another woman? I have Li Shu and Li Heng. I don't need any more children."
"Nonsenses! Ah Sang, if you are not thinking about yourself, then think about your son!" Aunt Li replied sharply.
Realizing she had spoken too anxiously, she softened her tone and added, "Shitou is still young and needs a mother. You are still young and can remarry. If you keep delaying, you won't be able to find a good match even if you want to in the future!"
Li Sang looked at his mother with disappointment. All these years, he thought she understood him. Turns out, she had never truly considered his feelings. For her, reputation was more important than anything else.

Having a son who divorced his wife and an ex-daughter-in-law who was a criminal made her feel ashamed. That's why she was in such a hurry to find him another wife.
Unfortunately, he was no longer young. Even though he had a good job and a high salary, he had two children and was already 34 years old. Which good woman would be willing to marry him?
Rather than marry the wrong person again and harm his children, he had chosen not to remarry. He had explained his reasons to his mother so many times, yet she treated him like a clueless child.
After a long silence, Li Sang finally said, "Mother, I'm already a father. I'm no longer a child who knows nothing and just follows your words blindly."
"I know what I'm doing and I understand the consequences. So I hope this will be the last time you do this. If you keep forcing me to follow your ways, then I will have no choice but to be an unfilial son and send you to live with my eldest brother."
The moment she heard this, Aunt Li was shocked. Out of her three sons, only Li Sang had ever truly listened to her. If she were sent to live with her eldest son, she could already imagine how difficult her life would become.
"No! You can't send me there! Li Sang, I'm your mother—you have to listen to me!" she shouted with a frown.
Li Sang looked at her with disappointment and asked, "Mother, why can't you just understand me?"
"It's you who don't understand me! Mother just wants what's best for you," Aunt Li replied.
"Then you should respect my decision!" Li Sang snapped.
Clenching his fists tightly, he spoke with sadness clear in his voice, "Mother, even if I was deceived, I did love Chen Lina for more than a decade. Even if she lied to me, my feelings for her were real."
"After what she did to my daughter—and after facing her betrayal—I was hurt. But have you ever once asked me how I felt? All you care about has never been me or my children. It's always been your pride, your reputation, your benefits."
After he said this, he let out a long sigh and added wearily, "Mother, I'm tired. Tomorrow, I will send you to my eldest brother's house. From today onwards, please stop interfering with my family's matters."
Aunt Li was shocked by his words and said, "You can't send me away! If I'm not here, what about Shitou? Who will take care of him?"
Standing up, Li Sang replied, "Mother, you don't have to worry about Shitou. Even if he doesn't have you, he still has his sister. Li Shu has been the one taking care of him since he was born. I think it's better to let her continue to teach her younger brother."
"No! How can you let an outsider take care of our family's son? Who knows what she will do to him? What if she teaches him to become a bad person?" Aunt Li rejected the idea instantly.
When he heard this, Li Sang was angry. He looked at her coldly, and said, "Mother, I'm not discussing this with you. I'm just informing you. You should start packing your belongings."
As soon as he finished his words, he left the house without turning back. He headed to Li Chenmo's house to look for his son. He didn't know if Shitou was there, but there weren't many places the boy could have gone.
Seeing her son walking away in large strides, Aunt Li panicked and shouted, "Li Sang, you come back here! Mother doesn't want to go to your eldest brother's house! You unfilial son!"
She screamed and scolded him, but no matter what she said, her son ignored her.
Ten minutes later, Li Sang stood outside the double gate and pulled at the bamboo hanging on the side.
He didn't know what it was at first, but there was a wooden plate placed there with instructions. He just needed to pull the bamboo to inform the people inside about his visit.
As soon as he gave it a tug, he heard the ringing sound of bells inside. Realizing that the bamboo was used as a bell, he was amazed by the idea.
He waited for a while before the gate was opened, and he saw his son and Lu Jueyu.
"Brother Li Sang, you are here," Lu Jueyu greeted him.
Since her husband wasn't home, she had no intention of inviting him in as she wanted to avoid any suspicion. She knew he was only here to pick up Shitou.
"Father!" Shitou hugged his father's leg the moment he saw him.
Seeing that his son wasn't sad and was even eating sweet potatoes, Li Sang heaved a sigh of relief. Bending down, he picked him up and carried him in his arms.
Then, he looked at Lu Jueyu and said, "Sister-in-law, thank you for taking care of my son. I will come another day to thank you properly."
