It wasn't like he wasn't getting any benefit from training in the academy too, his energy control had increased mainly due to the things he was taught at the academy and he was sure it would still increase even more.

While it was quite boring as he had no friends in the academy, it still wasn't pointless.

Time passed very quickly and before Harry knew it, one hour and thirty minutes had passed.

"That's enough." The instructor's voice rang out. Though he didn't shouting and his voice was rather calm, it was still enough to jolt all the students out of their meditation.

Though he could have stopped and corrected them earlier, he didn't because he wanted them to notice their mistake themselves.

Harry opened his eyes slightly as a low exhale left his lips.

He had always enjoyed channeling his energy, a warm and refreshing feeling coursed through his body whenever he was channeling his energy.

Though he had already gotten used to this feeling as he often trained his energy control in hopes of improving it, he still enjoyed that warm sensation.

Harry raised his head slightly and then stared at the instructor.

The instructor continued his hobby of pacing around the class while informing the students of the different mistakes they made in casting the spell.

"Most of you weren't able to find the right balance between channeling the mana and chanting the spell." The instructor said.

"You're always so concerned with channeling your elemental mana that you forget you're also supposed to say the necessary chants in order for you to get the desired results." He continued.

This was an mistake he noticed most of the students in the class were making, some of them weren't even saying the right chants.

Chants were said to aid the flow of elemental mana, however, if they weren't used at the correct pace, they would do nothing other than disrupt the mana flow.

There was no way an Elementalist would be able to cast a spell if the mana flow and chants weren't well organised and co-ordinated.

There were a few exceptions like Harry who actually managed to channel their elemental mana properly, however, even then, no one managed to successfully cast the spell.

Harry's progress was the fastest and from the man's predictions, Harry should be able to master the spell after a week of practise.

Although, he had never heard of an Elementalist mastering a spell within a week—even mages couldn't master a spell within such short time as the difficult only got higher with every tier, he expected Harry to succeed in doing so due to his monstrous progression and learning speed.

"Don't just say the words, find the right balance between them… feel the Lightning elemental mana flowing within you and channel it properly to cast the spell." The instructor said.

Just then his gaze turned towards Harry. "Harry… you're channeling your mana correctly but It seems you're having problems with drawing your mana out of body." He said. "You're also chanting the spells too fast, Try to find the right balance both the chants and the mana flow and you would be able to successfully cast your spell."

Most of the Elementalists in the class faces turned green with envy when they heard the instructor's words.

From the instructor's words they knew that Harry was very close to mastering the spell and it fuelled their jealously even more.

Harry simply nodded his head slightly. He didn't really take the instructor's corrections to heart. If anything, he was quite glad the man didn't refer to him as "Morton".

He had purposely prevented himself from channeling his 'mana' out of his body, he only kept stirring in at the inner layer of his fingertips without bothering to draw it out.

The only thing that slightly surprised him was what the instructor said about him chanting the spell too fast, he only wanted to have a 'just' reason for him not casting the spell.

It would be quite weird if he did everything correctly and still didn't succeed in casting the spell, the instructor would be confused as he wouldn't know what Harry was doing wrong.

He could feel the death and envious stares he was receiving from a few of the students, however, He simply ignored them.

Harry saw their actions as 'tantrums' from kids. He was a lot older than the first year lightning Elementalists, it would be a disgrace if he indulged and let himself get affected by their childish actions.

Most of the first years were very young, between the ages of twelve and thirteen. Their minds were still very immature, to them, Harry was the overachieving senior who came to steal the spotlight from them.

At first, the first year students and even other Elementalists mocked Harry for registering so late. While they didn't insult him to his face, they didn't hide their disdain for Harry either.

But Harry shocked them by advancing a lot faster than even the so-called most talented students of their classes.

As Harry kept progressing, their view and thoughts of Harry gradually changed from just disdain to hate, envy and jealousy.

Some of them even went as far as to spread rumours about how Harry bribed the academy instructors and wasn't even talented.

There were a few of them who were quite indifferent to Harry's talent and astonishing progress. f𝘳𝚎𝐞we𝐛𝑛𝐨𝘃e𝘭.co𝘮

Among the current first years in the lightning hall, there wasn't really any talented students. There was no one with high-grade affinity among them and most of the studies had only medium grade affinities with a few having low grade affinities.

Coupled with the fact that they were only few lightning Elementalist among the first years, it was safe to say they were the least talented class in the academy.

Lightning element was rare and a high grade one was even rarer so it wasn't the fewer numbers of lightning Elementalist wasn't weird.

"Now, let's all try again and do better!" The instructor shouted.

'Ahh… today's going to a long day… as always.' Harry thought.

Three days had passed by in a flash and Harry was currently standing in a small room.

His hands were outstretched and were each placed on a tall cylindrical iron surface that was strongly fixed on the ground.

Unlike the last time, his eyes were opened and his lips were moving slightly as he mumbled some incomprehensible words.

He gradually channeled his 'mana' and slowly drew them out of his body in order to 'cast' the spell "lightning stun".

Compared to the last time, when he intentionally made mistakes and failed to 'cast' the spell, this time, he didn't beat around the bush and simply went straight to 'casting' the 'spell'.

When he finally felt it was the right time, he paused the chant as he mumbled inwardly: 'Activate Lightning stun'.

The moment he willed for the skill to activate, small bright blue sparks started appearing around his fingers.

They slowly spread out until they evenly coated all his fingertips, sparks flew between his fingers as lightning danced around them.

The lightning sparks rapidly spread to the iron surface Harry was holding, sparks flew around its body. It kept vibrating as lightning danced around it.

A satisfied smile appeared on his face as he removed one of his hands—his left hand, from the iron body, he brought that hand closer and then watched as sparks flew between his fingers.

His right fingers that was still resting on the iron surface was still coated with enough lightning that made sparks fly around the tall iron body.

Though the amount of lightning dancing around the cylindrical surface had reduced by about half compared to when all Harry's fingers were on it, it was still enough to fry an ordinary human being.

He ignored the notification that flashed across his eyes as he rested his gaze on the blue haired instructor who was staring at him with a shocked expression.

"Can I get promoted now…?" Harry asked still keeping that smile on his face.

The man hurriedly regained his composure and closed his mouth, he released an awkward cough as he realised he had been staring at Harry for a while.

"Yes, you can now be promoted and allowed to attend second year Elemental classes." He said, still not able to hide the tinge of shock in his voice.

Harry had just completed the promotional examination for the first spell-casting so he had qualified for promotion.

But it was still shocking, Harry had only started spell-casting three days ago and he had already learnt his first spell.

Average Elementalists successfully casted their first spells after learning it for about three weeks, however, they mastered it after about one to two month.

Talented ones could cast it successfully after one week and even then, it would still take between two weeks to one month before they were able to master the spell.

Although spell-casting sounded simple, it was anything but simple!

'Harry… his talent is really out of his world.' The man mumbled inwardly. A wry smile appeared on his face as he shook his head slightly.
