Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 201: Half god
Cyrus appeared back in the bedroom and gently placed Sage on the bed before sitting beside her, pushing the strands of hair on her face to the back.
There were no more signs of blood or injury on her face, nor were there any on his. He had healed himself, which meant he had also healed her.
At this rate, the soulbond was extremely inconvenient. He was a master at controlling and suppressing his pains, no matter how intense, but Sage could feel them now... Why did it suddenly feel like a curse to them both?
Sage’s eyes fluttered open and locked with his, eliciting a gentle smile from him. "The pain has subsided." He murmured, and she smiled, grabbing his wrist with both hands.
"I am very proud of you." He leaned in close to hers as she laughed.
"Then give me my reward." He whispered and kissed her on the lips. "It is difficult to restrain myself in this state." He said against her lips, and she laughed before catching his lower lip between her teeth.
"There will be no reward for you." She let out a sigh, released his lip, and sat down as he leaned away from her with a dejected expression. "You need to explain yourself."
"Oh?" He inquired, his lips pursed in disappointment. "Do I?"
"Why didn’t you tell me you couldn’t bring her memories back?" Sage inquired, her gaze drawn away from him.
"It didn’t seem like the right time to me. Well, until then," Cyrus spoke flatly, still with a dejected expression on his face and his lips pursed.
"Does this mean that only I have the ability to resurrect her memories?" Sage asked, panicked, and looked at him with wide eyes.
"Yes."
"I am not going to be able to do it! It was a mistake to erase her memories! What if I obliterate her or something even worse?!"
"Wait a minute..." Cyrus looked at her in disbelief, while she panicked as wild imaginations began to swirl in her head.
"Seriously?" He burst out laughing and shook her shoulders, as if to bring her back to her senses. She froze and blinked quickly at him as he stopped laughing.
"Slow down." He spoke quietly, and she nodded slowly.
"Remember when I said you’d start practicing your skills?" He asked abruptly, and she nodded once more.
"Yes?"
"Your training with me begins tomorrow, before I hand you over to Mira."
Sage’s eyes were almost out of their sockets. "Mirabella?!" Sage exclaimed loudly.
"Yes."
"No way!"
"Believe me. She is a beast on the battlefield. She will also improve your fighting skills while I and that jerk named Stefan work on your powers."
Sage blinked at him, tilting her head to the side, unsure if she had heard him correctly. "Stefan?"
"Yes. Isn’t it true that he spent half of his life with your mother and is half wind mage?"
Sage couldn’t believe what she was hearing, but she was caught off guard by the bluntness with which he spoke.
"He has abilities?!" She screamed.
Sage blinked quickly at him, then closed her eyes, inhaled deeply, and opened her eyes again, peering into Cyrus’ blue slit eyes. "And you?"
"I, too, have abilities. I have never failed to conceal them, have I?"
"No, I mean, are you half a mage or something?" Sage’s eyes widened in wonder, and she held her breath unconsciously as she waited for him to respond.
She saw hesitation in his eyes, and as his lips parted, she placed her finger over them to silence him. "Remember, Cyrus, no more secrets?" He nodded slowly as she reminded him firmly.
"Do not worry, I remember,"
"Okay." She exhaled and removed her finger from his lips.
"I am afraid I can’t tell you." He abruptly said, and she squinted at him.
"Cy.."
"You already know I have powers, but you never asked how or why I have them, so why ask now?"
"Because now is the time to ask." Sage responded with a sigh. "How come you can’t tell me?" She raised her voice again, eliciting an amused smirk from him.
"I can’t tell you without mother’s permission."
"What?" Sage asked, her eyes wide with surprise. "This means you are half a mage!" Cyrus’ face dropped as she exclaimed.
"Hasn’t it always been obvious?" He inquired curtly.
"Truthfully, yes, but..." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"It is not your fault," he said quietly, a smile on his lips.
"I... I am also half dragon, what does that mean?" Sage asked slowly, expecting an epic response from him.
Could she grow wings or transform into a dragon? It would be fantastic if she could.
But, to be honest, she was more concerned with Cyrus than with herself. He was extremely powerful, and she had no idea where his strength ended. Of course, everyone noticed that he wasn’t your typical ice dragon, and Katherine’s words confirmed it.
He destroyed the portal to the land of the sea of blood? Was that even possible?
"I do not really know. Your origin is quite unusual."
"What?" Sage raised a brow at his words.
"You are supposed to be a wind mage, like your mother, rather than a fire mage."
"Oh?" Sage arched her brows. "But, you..."
"My mother is the ice goddess." Cyrus suddenly revealed, and his smile vanished.
Sage was completely taken aback. "G..goddess?" It was going to be extremely difficult for her to comprehend what he was saying to her.
"I am not half mage, but half god."
