Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 143: Nervous

"What a tone! Not even a welcome?" Bree responded.

But Cia didn’t respond to her anyway and just stared blankly at her.

"Well, I’m here to deliver a message directly to Fi. A message from his father," Bree added.

"I see. He is in his study," Cia replied.

"Wait Sentencia," Bree made Cia who was about to turn around to leave, to halt.

"Don’t you think it’s high time we put aside the feud we have between us?" Bree suggested.

Cia scoffed, "That’s really funny coming from you,"

"(Huffs) Look, I have known Fi longer than you have. He has been my friend since childhood and I don’t want to do anything to ruin that," Bree responded.

"It’s funny really, because I’m not the type to give up or let go easily. But I’m not letting go, I just want to be in Fi’s life even if it’s just as a friend. You are important to him and him being happy is all that matters to me.

"And you are his happiness. So, I’m glad he is okay and happy even if it’s not with me," Bree elaborated.

Cia nodded after some while. Bree really looked sincere about all she had just expressed.

Bree returned the nod, "I will go see him now," she excused herself and walked towards Fi’s study room. Cia got herself a glass of water and went back to the sitting room, to sit down.

When Fi was done talking with Bree, they both walked out of his study. Fi bid Bree goodbye as she exited, he then made his way to Cia who he spotted sitting on a couch at the sitting room.

When he got there, she had her eyes shut.

’Is she asleep?’ he thought. Then he kissed her forehead from the behind. She opened her eyes as soon as she felt him kiss her.

Her eyes met his immediately, which were staring back at her. She smiled at him, he was upsidedown to her.

"Tired?" he questioned.

"Hmm hmm," she nodded, standing up.

It was true, she doesn’t know but these past few mornings, she has been feeling sick, like morning sickness and its effects or symptoms reduces as the day goes by.

Fi walked around the couch towards her, his hands wrapped around her instantly as immediately he got to her, she had swayed.

"Cia? Are you okay?" he asked.

"Y-Yes...just a little dizzy," she replied, then he scooped her up in a bridal style.

"Let me take you upstairs, so that you can rest," he offered and started to walk towards the stairs.

He brought her upstairs to his room and laid her on the bed.

"Get some rest, okay? I will check on you later," he said and she nodded, then he kissed her softly on her lips before he walked out.

He did come back later and when he opened the door, she was already up. He sat on the bed close to her. She was sitting up on the bed, her back leaned on the headboard.

"You’re up. Did you rest well?" his hand cupped her cheeks.

"Yes. I feel a lot better now," she assured.

"But wouldn’t you like me to take you to the hospital? Or call a doctor rather?" he requested, looking so worried.

She smiled, "I am a doctor, Fi,"

He chuckled, "Okay doctor. Tell me, what is wrong with the love of my life?"

She laughed as well. Then she fell into a deep thought. What exactly is wrong with her? She doesn’t get sick easily.

All the symptoms she was showing so far were mostly symptoms of...

Her eyes widened a little as her fingers went to her lips. Or she could still be wrong. All illnesses share almost the same symptoms.

"What is it?" Fi asked.

"Huh? Uhm, nothing. I-I don’t know yet, I will have to undergo diagnosis," she have to be sure first. She shouldn’t jump into conclusions just yet.

"Okay."

Cia couldn’t believe this. She was still staring at the pregnancy test kit in shock.

Of course Fi and her had done it a couple of times more but with protection. They didn’t use protection for their first time together, but how can she just get pregnant all because of that one time?

Now that she thinks about, she really did miss her period this month but she didn’t pay too much attention to it.

What is she going to do? How is Fi going to react? They weren’t ready to have a child yet.

She heard her doorbell ring from downstairs, she walked out of her room and went downstairs to get the door.

It was Fi.

"Hey," he smiled at her and got her into a hug immediately. He walked into her house as she shuts the door.

How is she going to tell him? How will he react to it? What if he reacts negatively? But she has to tell him, he needs to know.

"What’s wrong?" he asked her, seeing the worried look on her pretty face. His hands went to her shoulders.

"Fi..." she started and he paid his full attention to her.

"I’m..." she trailed off, pursing her lips. How will she say this?

"I’m pregnant Fi," she finally told.

There was silence for some while. Then his handsome face slowly light up and beamed with a wide smile.

"Really?" he asked and she nodded.

"Wow, oh my God, wow. You’re pregnant! We’re going to be parents, we’re gonna have a baby," his reaction was totally not what she had been expecting.

"I can’t believe this, I’m going to be a dad," he leaned closer to her stomach and waved at it.

"Hey baby," he said, he was truly happy about the whole thing.

"Fi," he heard Cia call and so he stood straight again.

"Why do you look so glum about it? I’m happy that you are going to be the mother of my child," he responded.

"It’s not as easy as you are thinking, Fi. It’s just...I never even imagined having a child out of wedlock. Apart from that, I don’t think we’re ready to welcome a child," she complained.

There was silence again. Then Fi broke the silence; 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"So what are you trying to say? Don’t you want to keep it?" he asked softly.
