Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 90: Ex
There was silence.
"Yes," Davian started, breaking the silence.
"Okay, who is she?" Silvia asked further. Leah just stretched her hand towards Silvia for a handshake.
"Silly Davian," she said chuckling, "Let me introduce myself, I’m Leah Rockwell, Davian’s ex girlfriend," Leah purposely added the last part, a mischievous smile on her face as she stared at both Silvia and Davian.
’Ex girlfriend?’ Silvia thought, but she didn’t allow herself to be shaken by it.
She accepted the handshake and calmly replied, "Silvia Reyes-"
"Silvia Reyes," Leah repeated, ’I thought she looked familiar,’ she thought.
"-Davian’s wife," Silvia added.
"W-Wife?" Leah stuttered on the word a little. Her eyes went to Davian whose arm wrapped around Silvia’s waist, he managed a smile.
"Yes, wife." he affirmed.
"Oh," Leah chuckled. "Married for how long?" she continued.
Not like it’s any of your business but..."We just got married," Davian thought then replied.
"Okay, I just came back to town, ha... hopefully it’s for good. Crazy to run into you here, how have you been?" Leah inquired.
"Terrific as you can see," Davian responded and the reunion was cut short as the auction was about to begin.
"Well, see you around I guess," Davian added and walked out with Silvia.
He let out a breath.
Meanwhile, few minutes before the event begun, Olivia had run into Gabriel Yul.
She was just cursing within her, why the hell was she always running into this man?
"I was invited too," he lied. He decided to tag along with his mom and sister when he learnt that the bookstore would be holding an auction.
He knew she was working here as an apprentice and so he saw it as an opportunity to talk to her. He brought up the issue about his plan again.
"I have told you Mr. Yul, I’m not interested. Just find someone else," Olivia responded.
"I wish I could but you are the perfect missing piece in the puzzle of my plan. My plan is already in motion and soon, it will be taking effect. Help me out will you, don’t you hate him?" Gabriel urged.
"Hate? Of course I don’t and even if I do. I won’t think of carrying out any dubious plan with you just to get at him," she replied.
"Okay, Olivia. I’ll give you some more time because where you come in, is still far off. It is my final blow to Leo. You will be richly awarded, so think about it," he ended.
She just turned around and walked away, she doesn’t know if she should try warning Leo again. She remembered how he treated her last time she did. He didn’t believe her, he didn’t trust her, so first...she will try to earn his trust.
...
Davian and Silvia were heading home after the end of the auction- Davian was driving. Davian purchased a sci-fi book that caught his attention but Silvia didn’t buy anything. She was even so unusually quiet, Davian knew something was wrong.
He kept stealing glances of her through the rear mirror but didn’t ask her what the problem was.
"Do you...do you still have feelings for her?" he heard her finally say.
"What?" he replied.
"Do you still have feelings for your ex?" she continued.
"What? Why would you even think that way? Of course not. It’s been years since we broke up and feelings change. I’m in love with you now, Silvia, only you," he assured.
"Then why did you look at her like that?" Silvia found herself pouting, Davian couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Don’t tell me my princess is jealous?" he questioned.
"Of course not," she turned towards the window by her side. He chuckled,
"Well, I was just surprised to see her nothing more. Don’t take much meaning to the look okay?" he glanced at her.
"Whatever," she replied and she giggled when he kissed below her ear.

A wide smile appeared on Olivia’s lips as she savoured the look and aroma of her masterpiece. It was a sunday, so both Leo and her were at home.
She decided to bake some cookies which were now ready. She carefully carried the tray of cookies towards where Leo was. He was seated at the living room, staring blankly at the TV which wasn’t even on, as he swirls his glass of wine.
"I made some cookies for you," Olivia announced her presence as she sat close to him on the couch.
"..." Leo just stared at her. She cocked her head at him;
"Don’t tell me you don’t like cookies. I made it specially for you and I ask the cook to make sure I didn’t add any ingredients you must be allergic to-"
"Why are you doing all these? Why are you being nice to me no matter how cold I am towards you?" Leo interrupted her.
He tilted his head, "What are your motives Olivia? You are being nice to use me again right?"
"No, I..." she trails off biting her lower lip. She was finding it hard to look away from his eyes.
"I just want to ask for your forgiveness," she managed to say.
It was as if the god of silence flew passed.
"I know you are still very much angry with me, so I really want to earn your forgiveness," Olivia continued.
"Have a taste!" she quickly added, bringing a cookie to his mouth- Stuffing it into it.
"Uh sorry," she huffed as a look of surprise flashed his face when she did that. She just didn’t want him to respond to what she had said.
He collected the cookie and held it, eating it properly. Her hands went to her laps as she smiled at him while he chewed.
"Well..." she beamed at him like a kid on christmas morning.
"It tastes fine," he replied.
"Glad you like it," she responded turning towards the TV.
"Don’t you want to watch anything?" she asked, picking up the remote.
{Watch a movie with him} she couldn’t help but grin.
She turned the TV on and searched through the channels. She finally stopped at a channel which was showing something that caught her attention, so they started watching it.
Leo wasn’t paying much attention to the movie nor was he interested in it, he was watching more of her. The way her expression changed at every suspense, the way her laughter filled the room at every comedy part.
Olivia had imagined to be doing this with him at a cinema, so since she couldn’t get him to go to a cinema with her, this would suffice.
She didn’t know when she paid her full focus and attention to the movie, it was just so goddamn interesting. At the end of the movie, she couldn’t help but cry as it ended on a tragic note.
Leo’s lips pulled up, it must be the pregnancy hormones, pregnant women were always known to be sensitive.
"Why are you crying?" he asked, "It’s just a movie,"
"Well (Chuckles) yeah, but it’s so sad. I feel so bad for the movie characters-" she didn’t even finish when he started laughing. His laughter filled the room, it was pleasant to the ears. But most importantly, Olivia couldn’t tell if it was a good sign or if he was just mocking her.
{Try to make him laugh}
...
Davian just called it a day from work, he was the first to leave. He smiled as he headed for the parking lot because he thought about Silvia. He couldn’t wait to see her, his eyes glanced at his watch on his wrist one more time as he approaches his car.
"6:50pm," he voiced.
"Hey Davian," he heard that familiar voice, it made him to halt in his movements. His head moved up from his wrist immediately to glance at its owner.
"Leah?" he saw her standing close to his car.
"Hi," she waved at him.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"Well... I’m sorry Davian, I didn’t know where to find you. We couldn’t talk properly that day because of your... because of Silvia. So I ask around and was told your firm newly moved here," she walks towards him and held his hand but he yanked it from her.
"We have nothing to talk about," he responded.
"Davian are you still mad at me? It’s been years. I’m sincerely sorry," she apologized.
"I’m not mad, I have already forgiven you long ago. But do you think it’s easy for me to forget what you did to me?!" he questioned and she held his hand again, her eyes teary.
"I’m sorry," she apologized.
"Look, I don’t know what you were thinking to have come here, if it’s just to ask for my forgiveness, then you were already forgiven. No need for you to have come. (Sighs) Let’s just end this on a friendly note," Davian responded.
"Now if you will excuse me I have to go home to my wife," he added.
"I wonder how you managed to get married to a person like her," she commented.
"What’s wrong with her? What’s wrong with me? We’re two individuals and we’re both entitled to love. We’re married now and I love her with everything I have," he responded.
"Sorry, it’s just... she’s-"
"I’ll just stop you there, because your opinion on this really doesn’t matter. Even though we can still end it as friends, don’t come here anymore, I’m married now and it still feels a little awkward seeing you," he cuts her off.
’Does that maybe means he still has feelings for me?’ she thought. The thought made her so happy, gave her so much hope, that she decided to test her luck.
"Davian, I still have feelings for you," Leah expressed.
