Thinking of Seraphina Thorne’s flustered look just now, Chloe sighed deeply.

Who could blame her? She had done so many things that hurt Seraphina Thorne and Ethan Sterling in the past. How could they possibly trust her?

Stuffing the test results into her backpack, Chloe walked out of the hospital gate with her head downcast.

She flagged down a taxi and went to Nathan’s law office.

Ivy Langley was just about to head out with her bag when she saw Chloe step out of the elevator. She frowned and stopped.

"Are you happy now?"

Chloe was taken aback, "You... what do you mean by that?"

"What do I mean?" Ivy scoffed, "You think Seraphina and I are naive. If it weren’t for you, why would Ethan Sterling and Seraphina get divorced? What else could you do but be a homewrecker, tearing apart a bonded pair? Does it make you feel good?"

"I..." Chloe lowered her head in shame, "I know, it was my fault before, and I’m very sorry."

"Still pretending to be innocent here?" Ivy’s temper flared even more, "How can you have such thick skin? Do you even know what you are doing? Because of you, a life is going to disappear from this world; you are a murderer!"

Chloe was baffled, "What murderer? I... I haven’t killed anyone."

"You haven’t killed, but the child died because of you!" Ivy, furious, grabbed her by the collar, "If it weren’t for you provoking Ethan Sterling to divorce Seraphina, would Seraphina have gone for an abortion? Chloe, let me tell you, don’t think that just because you are Attorney Foster’s sister, I wouldn’t dare do anything to you. If anything happens to Seraphina’s health, I definitely won’t spare you or Ethan Sterling!"

Saying this, Ivy shoved Chloe aside, snorted coldly, and walked into the elevator.

Chloe thought of the test results, Seraphina’s panicked face, and the doctor calling out in the operating room...

Her heart tightened, Chloe turned around, and hurriedly ran, pushing open Nathan’s office door.

"Brother, something bad happened!"

Nathan Foster looked up from Caleb Thorne’s case files, saw Chloe coming in, and quickly stood up.

"What’s going on? Did something happen to your health?"

"Not me, it’s Seraphina!" Chloe grabbed his arm, "I just heard from Ivy that Seraphina is going for an abortion. You have to think of something!"

Nathan was stunned, "What did you say? Seraphina is pregnant? You... you must be mistaken, right?"

"It’s written on the test results!" Chloe took the test results from her bag and handed them to him, "See for yourself. How could I possibly be mistaken? Brother, is Seraphina still hating me, so she refuses to forgive Ethan Sterling?"

"It’s not as you think."

Nathan took the test results, looked at them carefully, and his brows immediately furrowed into a knot.

"When you saw Seraphina at the hospital, she... had she already had the surgery?"

"No, the doctor seemed to be calling her. When she saw me, she hurriedly left." Chloe thought for a moment, "She probably hasn’t had the surgery."

"That’s good." Nathan breathed a sigh of relief, "I’ll call Ethan Sterling right away."

Nathan turned to grab the phone on the desk and dialed Ethan Sterling’s number.

The call connected, but it was Sean Hale on the other end.

"Attorney Foster, it’s Sean Hale. President Sterling is in a meeting. Is there something urgent?"

"I have a very important matter. Can you let him take the call now?"

"He’s in a meeting at Sterling. It’s inconvenient for me to interrupt." Sean replied.

"Then... how long will the meeting last?"

"Not sure, at least another hour, I guess."

Nathan checked his watch, pondering briefly.

"I’ll go over there now. If he finishes the meeting, ask him not to leave and wait for me there. Tell him I have something very important to tell him."

Hanging up the phone, Nathan folded the test results and slipped them into his pocket.

"Chloe, I’m going to find Ethan Sterling. You should go home first. Remember... you must not tell anyone about Seraphina being pregnant. I’ll explain the reasons to you later."

He grabbed his car keys from the desk and strode out of the office.

Racing all the way to the bottom of Sterling Tower, Nathan jogged into the elevator and headed to the top floor.

Sean Hale was waiting outside the meeting room for Ethan Sterling. Seeing Nathan, he hurried over, "Attorney Foster, what happened that you’re in such a hurry?"

Nathan glanced around and lowered his voice, "It’s about Seraphina and Ethan Sterling. Has Ethan finished the meeting?"

As they spoke, the meeting room door opened not far away.

Arthur Sterling, Ethan Sterling, Henry Sterling, and others came out one after another.

"Ethan!" Nathan hurried over, grabbing his arm, "Quick, I have something important to tell you."

"You all go ahead, I’ll be right there." Ethan Sterling briefly informed Arthur Sterling and the others.

"Let’s go, we’ll talk in my office." Ethan Sterling said.

Henry Sterling turned his face to watch them walk away, a hint of doubt in his eyes. "Dad, is something wrong with Ethan?"

Arthur Sterling gently shook his head, "Even if something’s wrong, he wouldn’t tell me. Let’s go to the office first."

Along the corridor, Ethan Sterling opened the door, inviting Nathan into his own office at Sterling.

"What happened, that you’re in such a rush?"

Nathan pulled the test results out of his pocket and handed them to him.

"Seraphina is pregnant."

"What?" Ethan Sterling took the test results, frowned, and looked at the results, "This... how did you find out?"

"Chloe was at the hospital and happened to see Seraphina. According to her, it seems Seraphina was planning... an abortion."

Upon hearing the words "abortion," Ethan Sterling’s heart tightened.

The hand clutching the test results trembled uncontrollably.

"She... has she already aborted the child?"

"Don’t worry!" Nathan held his arm, "Seraphina probably left in a hurry to avoid being discovered by Chloe. You can still make it in time if you go to her now!"

Ethan Sterling took a deep breath, "Alright... I’ll call her right away."

He grabbed his phone and quickly dialed Seraphina’s number.

The call went through, but no one answered.

Unwilling to give up, Ethan Sterling dialed again with the same result.

An ominous premonition rose in his heart. Ethan Sterling grabbed Nathan’s arm.

"Which hospital did Chloe go to?"

"People’s Hospital."

Before Nathan could finish, Ethan Sterling had already grabbed his keys and rushed out of the office.
