Marrying His Nemesis: Kicking My Scumbag Fiancé Away!-Chapter 68: Is That... Ethan Sterling?!
The girl who opened the door smiled as she pulled open the private room door.
"You’re Seraphina Thorne, right? Come on in!"
"Seraphina!"
In the corridor, Nathan Foster happened to return, smiling as he welcomed Seraphina Thorne into the private room.
"Let me introduce you, this is my sister Chloe Foster. Chloe, this is Seraphina Thorne whom I’ve mentioned to you."
"Hello!" Chloe Foster smiled and extended her right hand to Seraphina Thorne, "My brother talks about you often, saying you’re both beautiful and talented, not to mention your amazing violin skills."
"Really?"
Seraphina Thorne smiled as she shook the other’s hand.
Just as she withdrew her hand, Chloe Foster had already hugged her arm, standing by her side.
"Brother, don’t you think Seraphina and I look alike?"
Nathan Foster glanced at the two of them and nodded with a smile.
"I never noticed it before, but honestly... when you two stand together, you do look alike, almost like real sisters."
At this moment, the waiter had already brought in the dishes.
Nathan Foster politely invited Seraphina Thorne to the table, where the siblings also took their seats at the table.
Seraphina Thorne took out Caleb Thorne’s agent contract from her bag and handed it to Nathan Foster.
"Please take a look at this contract."
Nathan Foster received the contract and seriously looked through it.
"Now that Caleb Thorne has signed, I am officially his agent lawyer, and we will begin investigations promptly. I will also visit him in prison as a lawyer to discuss things in detail."
In prison, the family members are only allowed one visiting time a month.
However, it is different for lawyers, who can request meetings with the client as needed based on the case.
"Alright." Seraphina Thorne nodded with a smile, "I’ll leave it to you then, Nathan."
"We’re family; no need to be polite." Nathan Foster raised his hand slightly, "Let’s eat."
Seraphina Thorne thought about that document, hesitated for a moment, but eventually didn’t take it out.
Her relationship with Adrian Chamberlain and Ethan Sterling was, indeed, a bit complex.
Nathan Foster was Caleb Thorne’s agent lawyer, so she shouldn’t hide these matters from him.
However, his sister Chloe Foster was just an outsider, and Seraphina did not want to talk about such personal privacy matters in front of her.
The three of them were dining together, and Nathan Foster thoughtfully helped Seraphina Thorne wrap a piece of roast duck.
Seraphina Thorne thanked him verbally, took the duck with both hands but only placed it on her plate without eating it.
She’s had a picky palate since childhood and never eats things like garlic, ginger, and scallions.
Just when Nathan Foster helped her wrap the duck, he added scallion shreds; she naturally wouldn’t eat it.
Across the table, Chloe Foster quietly ate her meal.
However, her eyes discreetly observed Seraphina Thorne.
Seeing Seraphina not eating the roast duck, she also put her wrapped duck back on her plate.
If Seraphina ate vegetables, she would eat vegetables too.
When Seraphina held a small bowl and sipped duck soup cautiously, Chloe imitated her by ladling a small bowl of soup and drinking it little by little.
With a small appetite, Seraphina Thorne quickly put down her chopsticks.
"Nathan, I have to go back to the orchestra for rehearsal this afternoon, so I’ll head off first."
"I happen to be full."
Chloe Foster also put down the bowl containing half-finished soup.
Seeing the uneaten roast duck on his sister’s plate, Nathan Foster raised his eyebrows in puzzlement.
"Feeling unwell?"
Usually, she loves roast duck the most, and would have it every time she returns to the country.
But she barely had any today.
Chloe Foster smiled sweetly, "I’m just not very hungry."
As the three of them left the roast duck restaurant, Nathan Foster’s client happened to call, asking him to go over.
Chloe Foster proactively suggested that she would take a taxi back.
Nathan Foster looked at his sister, somewhat worried.
"You seldom come back to the country, and you’re unfamiliar with the roads. It’s better if I drive you back!"
"Why don’t I take Miss Foster home?" Seraphina Thorne volunteered, "I need to go back to the orchestra, and it’s on the way."
Nathan Foster checked the time, "Then I’ll leave it to you."
Seraphina Thorne smiled, "We’re all family, no need to be so courteous."
Nathan Foster personally escorted the two to Seraphina’s car and watched as Chloe Foster sat in the passenger seat, continually reminding her to call when she gets home, showing signs of being a doting brother.
After bidding farewell to Nathan Foster, Seraphina Thorne started the car and drove onto the highway towards the Sovereign Villa District on the Third Ring Road.
Chloe Foster’s gaze moved from her face to her fingers on the steering wheel.
"Miss Thorne, are you married?"
Glancing at the pigeon egg blue diamond on her finger, Seraphina Thorne nodded lightly.
"That’s such a beautiful ring; your husband must love you very much, right? When did you get married, and how long did you date? Can you introduce him to me someday?"
The face of Ethan Sterling flashed in front of her, and Seraphina Thorne didn’t want to say much, so she changed the topic.
"Nathan mentioned that Miss Foster is also a violinist. Are you planning to develop your career back in the country?"
"Actually, I don’t want to come back." Chloe Foster lowered her eyelashes and sighed softly, "But... my brother and the person I like are both here, so I had to come back as well. Oh, if you know of any suitable jobs, you could introduce them to me."
"Of course!" Seraphina Thorne responded with a smile.
The two chatted along the way, and the car had already turned into the Sovereign Villa District. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
After bringing Chloe Foster to Foster Villa, Seraphina Thorne stopped the car, and Chloe Foster took out her phone.
"How about we add each other on WeChat?"
The two exchanged WeChat contacts, and Chloe Foster politely invited Seraphina Thorne inside.
Having to return to work at the orchestra, Seraphina Thorne declined with a smile.
"Next time; there will be plenty of opportunities."
"That’s true." Chloe Foster stood beside the car, smiling innocently, "Next time, remember to bring your husband, Miss Thorne!"
Seraphina Thorne waved her hand at her and drove away turning her car around.
When passing her own villa, she gently tapped the brake to slow down the car.
Initially wanting to take a look at her home, her line of sight swept across, noticing a person standing on the balcony.
Seraphina Thorne pressed the brake, slowed the car, intending to see who bought the Thorne’s old home.
On the balcony of the bedroom used to belong to her on the second floor east side of Thorne Villa, someone was standing, facing away from her, seemingly on the phone.
Black suit, tall and upright...
Was that Ethan Sterling?!
