Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Mrs. Sterling, You Have to Take Responsibility!

The car drove out of the urban area, and the sky gradually darkened.

Ethan Sterling turned the car off the highway and onto the branch leading to the airport.

Seraphina Thorne turned her face, gazing at the airplanes on the tarmac.

"What are we doing at the airport?"

"Didn’t I tell you before?" Ethan parked the car on a spot beside the tarmac, "It’s a secret!"

"But... I didn’t bring anything."

"It’s okay." Ethan turned around and helped her adjust her coat, "As long as you’re here, it’s enough."

They both got out of the car together, and not far away, Sean Hale hurried over, handing a set of keys to Ethan.

"Everything is set, President Sterling."

Ethan nodded and reached out to hold Seraphina’s hand.

"Let’s go!"

Seraphina walked alongside him, through a corridor, suddenly finding herself facing a broad view, with several helicopters parked on the expansive tarmac.

Still puzzled, she watched as Ethan stepped forward, pulled open the cabin door of a black helicopter in front of them.

"Mrs. Sterling, please!"

"You..." Seraphina looked surprised, "You can drive a helicopter?"

"Don’t worry, Mrs. Sterling." Ethan extended his hand to support her arm, helping her onto the helicopter, "I have a professional license."

After closing the cabin door and settling Seraphina in the co-pilot seat, Ethan personally placed a pair of noise-canceling headphones over her ears and fastened her seatbelt securely.

After ensuring everything was safe and sound, Ethan went over to the pilot’s seat, skillfully prepared, and started the helicopter.

"Helicopter 0921, calling the tower, requesting takeoff."

"0921, you are cleared for takeoff."

Upon receiving the response from the tower, Ethan pushed the throttle forward, and the helicopter smoothly ascended into the night sky.

Worried about affecting his operation, Seraphina kept silent.

Ethan guessed her thoughts, "Mrs. Sterling, do you want to say something?"

Seraphina turned to watch his fingers as he operated the helicopter.

"How many more secrets do you have that I don’t know about?"

Maneuvering boldly in the business world, playing the piano so well, and now flying a helicopter...

This man constantly surprises her.

"Want to know?" Ethan glanced at her sideways, "Then stay by my side and discover them slowly."

Seraphina smiled slightly and said nothing.

The black helicopter sliced through the night sky, heading northward.

After over an hour of flight, it landed on a mountaintop helipad.

"Are we there?"

Seraphina unbuckled her seatbelt and curiously looked out the window.

In the nighttime, all she saw was a blanket of white.

Could it be...

She squinted her eyes, her tone noticeably excited.

"Snow?!"

"Don’t rush!" Ethan took a red down jacket out from the luggage bag on the back seat, unzipping it, "It’s cold here, change out of your coat."

Obediently, Seraphina took off her coat, stretching her arms as Ethan helped her into the down jacket.

With care, he zipped her up, put on her hat, and finally wrapped a scarf around her little face, leaving only her eyes visible.

Only then did he open the cabin door and help her down from the helicopter.

The hotel staff had already come to greet them, welcoming them politely.

"Mr. Sterling, Mrs. Sterling, welcome to our spa hotel."

Seraphina nodded at them, feeling something hit her face.

She tilted her head back and saw snowflakes drifting down from the sky.

Reaching out her hand to catch a snowflake, she turned and ran playfully to Ethan.

"Ethan, look... it’s snowing, it’s snowing!"

Smiling, Ethan handed their luggage to the hotel staff who came to assist them.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes!" Seraphina beamed as she looked at the cascading snowflakes, "Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved snow the most!"

Although every winter, due to her poor health, she often caught colds.

But she still loved winter, precisely because it brought snow.

Ethan stood amid the falling snowflakes, smiling as he watched her.

"As long as you like it."

The staff loaded their luggage onto a golf cart, and one of them came over.

"Would you like to get on the cart?"

"Is the room far from here?" Seraphina asked.

"Not too far." The staff member pointed to a villa lit up on the hillside, "That’s the villa you’ve rented, it’s about a ten-minute walk."

Seraphina held onto Ethan’s arm, "Ethan, can we walk there?"

"Sure." Laughing, Ethan nodded and waved the staff on, "You can take our luggage over, we’ll walk."

The staff agreed and left with their luggage on the cart.

Seraphina trotted a few steps, scooping up some fallen snow from the roadside into a snowball.

Turning, she saw Ethan approaching, her playful side emerged, and she tossed the snowball at him.

Seeing the large white mark on Ethan’s black down jacket, she burst into laughter.

"Sneak attacking, huh? Watch how I deal with you."

Ethan also grabbed a handful of snow, making a show of his pose but throwing it lightly.

Seraphina easily dodged it, triumphantly making a face at him.

"Ha, missed me!"

They walked along, laughing and playing in the snow.

Of course, Ethan lost more than he won, rarely hitting Seraphina while getting hit several times himself.

On the mountain path, the girl’s laughter echoed from time to time.

By the time they finally reached the villa, the staff had already placed their luggage and were waiting at the door.

Handing over the keys, the staff bid their farewell and left.

The two of them walked into the villa together, Ethan closed the door and took off his coat.

"Are you cold?"

"I’m fine."

Seraphina shook the snow from her shoes, took off her gloves, and rubbed her hands together, blowing warm air on them.

Ethan caught her hand, lifted his woolen sweater, and tucked her cold little hands against his chest.

"Don’t... my hands are cold!"

Seraphina tried to pull her hands back, but he drew her in and wrapped her in his arms.

"It’s okay, it’s just right to cool me down, after all the snowball fighting, I’m sweating. Feel my back if you don’t believe me."

She reached one hand around, feeling his back with her fingertips.

His back was warm, but... it wasn’t sweaty.

"You’re lying, there’s nothing!"

"A little higher, a bit to the left..."

Following his directions, she moved her hand but still found nothing.

Hearing Ethan’s soft laughter above her, she knew she’d been tricked, pinching his waist lightly.

"You big liar!"

Laughing, Ethan hugged her tight.

"Mrs. Sterling, you need to take responsibility after feeling me up!"

"I refuse!"

Although she said so, her arms naturally wrapped around him.

This surprise from Ethan tonight truly delighted her.

Since her father’s accident, she hadn’t been this lighthearted for a long time.

"Are you hungry?"

The man’s voice whispered in her ear.

Inside his embrace, Seraphina shook her head.

They had dinner before coming here and she wasn’t hungry yet.

"Then... how about soaking in the hot springs while watching the snow?"

Surprised, Seraphina raised her face, "Is there a hot spring here?"

Ethan took her hand and led her to the side of the living room by the floor-to-ceiling window.

"See for yourself!"
