"Another Martial King? Here?"

Sabbath asked as he watched Kiernan run around the gymnasium to increase his stamina, just like Coach Jin instructed.

"I believe so."

Kiernan said, his sneakers squeaking against the polished gymnasium floor.

"I didn’t sense anyone like that here. Perhaps that person knows concealment, which would be pretty surprising since not everyone can learn it."

Sabbath said with a frown on his face.

"Concealment?"

Kiernan asked.

"It is a way to conceal one’s martial energy. I am using it. Thus, to others, I might seem like Martial Champion, at best. It is difficult to learn.

"I had to trade for that knowledge in the Martial Order chat room."

Kiernan nodded but then frowned and asked.

"How could another one like you be here? This country doesn’t have random Martial Kings popping out of nowhere. This is a tier 4 country, after all."

"I am curious about that as well. I don’t think he is here to just coach some random school, but I am sure he is after something."

Kiernan wondered what that something could be.

Martial Kings weren’t interested in any ordinary stuff. After all, they had already crossed the boundary between mortality and godhood.

They were at the starting line of a much greater journey, so wasting that time in tier 4 country didn’t make much sense.

In the classroom, Julian absentmindedly drew on his notebook. It was clear as a cloudless sky that he was bored out of his mind.

"Hey, Julian. Where is Kiernan?"

Julia walked over to him and asked him out of curiosity. She then saw some of his brainless sketches in the notebook, which didn’t really make any sense.

"Training. He has special permission to train whenever he wants to as long as he still participates in some of the classes."

Julian said, wishing that he would also have that special permission.

She nodded and was about to return to her seat, but then a pale-faced female student rushed inside the classroom, looking frantic and panicked.

"Are you alright, Morgana?"

Julia asked after seeing her all panicky and frantic. It looked like she had seen a ghost.

"Julia…"

Morgana stammered, and said.

"M-Montclair High students just beat up Bart!"

She said it loud enough for everyone in the class to hear. They all turned around in shock.

A few friends of Bart wondered where he was. They thought he might’ve overslept because he liked staying late to play games.

"Huh? What do you mean? What the hell happened with Bart?"

"Why the fuck would Montclair High students do that?"

"Morgana, how do you know!"

She was quite overwhelmed by everyone shouting questions at her.

"Everyone, calm down!"

Julia shouted and managed to silence the rowdy classroom.

"Morgana, tell everything that happened."

Morgana took a deep breath, and then said.

"I-I was on my way here, but then I heard some laughter. I saw some Montclair High students leave the back of the school. I thought it was suspicious, so I went to look.

"I didn’t see anything at the back of the school, but when I was about to leave, I saw Bart stumbling out of the shack, all bruised and beaten up.

"He looked terrified as if someone sucked his soul out of his body. I immediately took him to the nurse’s office, where he told me what happened!"

"Why would they beat him?"

Julia asked with a frown.

"H-he told me it was because he accidentally bumped shoulders with one of them. Why would they beat him till the point of needing medical attention for something as minor as this?"

Morgana was filled with anger and disbelief.

It was such pointless violence.

The students in the classroom seethed in anger as well.

"I-I’ll go talk to my father. He must have a talk with Montclair High’s principal."

Julia said, but then a person stood up next to her. It was Julian, who had closed his notebook, and began heading out of the classroom.

"Julian, where are you going?"

Without giving an answer, Julian left the classroom.

"Damn, Karuza High sure is filled with wimps. He immediately started to beg for mercy and cried like a little bitch!"

"Wasn’t Karuza High supposed to be some powerhouse school? I’ve heard all about their ace and how awesome he is, but how good can he be when the rest of the school are losers?"

"The nationals will be easy with Zachary on our side."

They laughed while ignoring the class that was happening. The teacher didn’t dare to bother them. He wasn’t a martial artist and was still unranked.

Instead of being interested in martial arts like the rest of the world, he was more interested in reading and writing.

"Sigh…"

The teacher just sighed and shook his head, but he wished that some of the students were interested in studying at least, so he kept teaching despite the rowdiness in the back rows.

BANG!

At that moment, the sliding door of the classroom was banged open loudly.

Every student looked over in surprise, and then they saw someone wearing a Karuza High uniform looking around the classroom.

"Hmm?"

Julian looked over to the corner of the class and saw the rowdy, delinquent-looking students, who fit the description that Bart gave him.

Before coming here, he visited Bart in the nurse’s office, and even though the nurse tried to make him leave, Bart managed to tell him everything he needed to know about the people who put him there.

"You guys are fitting the description."

CRACK!

Julian cracked his knuckles, making them pop like balloons, and slowly approached them.

"Who the fuck are you, Karuza High trash?"

The group of four stood up in anger. It wasn’t hard to figure out why he was here. He came here for revenge, which made them mock him.

There were four of them and only one of him.

"No fighting in class, please!"

The teacher shouted, but no one was listening to him.

"You’re here for that crying bitch? Hah, you should’ve brought more with you."

"Is that so?"

Julian suddenly grabbed him by the back of his head, pulled him close, and elbowed him across the face.

He stumbled to the side with his brain dazed and his nose bleeding.

"You bastard!"

His friends came to his aid immediately and rained down punches and kicks on him, but Julian redirected those attacks away with ease.

’Rendering Edge…’

The unbreakable defense made his debut as Julian stood tall, unscathed. The delinquents couldn’t believe their eyes that none of their attacks worked!

"Fuck, just attack him!"

"He is just one person!"
