Chapter 239 Level Up

"Ah!" Ambrose opened his eyes and noticed the familiar inn room.

It was where he had put his temporary spawn in Hightown.

The memories of his previous adventures flooded back to him, as did the sudden betrayal.

"That fucker, I hope he dies there." He sighed, but one part of him wished that he would survive somehow, so he could kill him by himself.

However, the power difference was vast, and Ambrose wasn't sure whether he could ever reach that kind of strength.

'Well, for now, he is trapped there.' He rubbed his chin. 'I still wonder what was on top of those stairs—inside the glowing door. Is it really the exit or path to somewhere else?'

As he thought about that, he heard a sudden notification sound.

[You Are the First Person to Discover the New Continent!]

[Reward: 100,000 XP]

Ambrose's eyes widened in shock, and before he could say anything, his vision was filled with amazing sight.

Ambrose was completely stunned and continued sitting on the bed for a while until he finally let out a very short laugh.

"I guess something good came from this!" Ambrose then glanced at his interface and nonchalantly saw the "Revenger" title.

'Ah right, that gave me 10% extra power against Reinhardt; still, I was completely powerless.'

It was frustrating, but after seeing his new level and all the stat points, he couldn't help but smile.

'100 stat points, let's go!'

As he was about to think about where to assign the stats, the door to the inn room suddenly opened.

An exhausted-looking young woman with a handbag in hand entered the room. She had heavy eyebags under her exotic red eyes, which clearly indicated that she most likely didn't sleep last night.

After she placed her handbag on the kitchen counter, she looked at her arm stump, which was wrapped in bandages.

Unfortunately, all clinics were too busy with patients, and since she was a player, she wasn't a priority.

Therefore, she just bought some bandages to cover her wound.

"Bella."

Her sleepy eyes widened in shock, but then she grabbed her head, trying to process what she had just heard.

Whether it was simply a hallucination because of her insomnia or if the voice was really true, she couldn't really tell.

"Bella."

Then, a hand touched her shoulder, making her flinch and causing her to shove a bowl off the table, shattering it into pieces on the floor.

She turned around to see a black-haired young man standing there, concern evident in his dull, blue eyes.

"Bella, are you alright?" Ambrose asked with genuine worry in his voice. "You don't look too good."

"J-Jesse?" Bella rubbed her eyes and then opened them again. "Y-you are back."

"Ah, yes." Ambrose sheepishly scratched the back of his head. "Sorry, stuff happened, and even I can't really tell you what exactly."

Bella lunged into his embrace and wrapped one arm around his waist, burying her face in his chest.

Ambrose touched her long, silky hair and then noticed her lack of arm. It made him remember the sight of her losing it.

"Bella." He then grabbed her by the shoulder, pushed her one step back, and then crouched in front of her.

In her eyes, it looked like he was about to propose, as he was kneeling on one knee.

And when he reached out to inventory, her heart skipped a beat.

However, instead of taking out a ring, he took out the small box containing Restoration Gel.

"Remove the bandage for me, please." He said and opened the box, then dipped his finger in the gel.

She raised her eyebrow, but since she trusted him, she did what he told her to do.

After removing the bandages, her arm stump was exposed to the air. It was healed, and the skin looked fair just like the rest of her skin.

Then, Ambrose began spreading the gel over her arm stump, adding enough layer for the effect to start sooner.

"Cold." Bella whispered as a shiver ran down her spine.

She wondered what kind of gel this was, as she didn't have player forums to know about these things.

She also rarely talked to any of the players, so most of the gaming-related things were unknown to her.

After spreading enough gel, he closed the small box and tossed it back into his inventory.

"It should work soon." He said and stood back up. "While waiting, can you tell me what happened after I left?"

"Nn." Bella nodded, and they went to the bed, where they sat down and began talking about what had happened.

Ambrose even mentioned the New Continent, which had a wall of shadow reaching to the sky, stairs to the heavens, a strange glowing door, and floating islands that seemed to defy gravity.

It was all interesting to Bella, making her sleepiness vanish like a distant memory.

After several minutes of spreading the gel, Bella's brows furrowed in discomfort, and then she felt a strange sensation, like she had dipped her arm in a bucket of glue.

She turned to her arm stump, and to her shock, beautiful floating pixels began to gather and started forming an outline of a slender arm!

Ambrose watched with a smile as fair-skinned flesh began to appear and replace the pixels, restoring her arm to its original state.

Her flesh was now even more beautiful than before, radiating a soft glow.

It looked very soft and smooth to the touch.

"Wow..." Bella blossomed into a smile as she moved the fingers in front of her eyes.

She expected to have to live with one arm from now on, so this was a very pleasant surprise.

"What was that?" Bella asked about the gel.

"It's called Restoration Gel. It can regrow body parts." Ambrose said.

"Thank you." Bella smiled, her beauty radiating with happiness.

"Uhm." Ambrose cleared his throat and then whispered "Interface" under his breath.

As the interface appeared in front of him, a slight touch of pain appeared in his heart.

[Silver: 0]

He had lost all of his money!

'Nearly 50,000 silvers, all gone!'

When he was fighting Reinhardt, he planned to die, but he didn't think about the things he would lose as a result.

'Right, what item did I lose?' He hoped with all of his being that he didn't lose his Black or Red Sword.

But when he checked his inventory, he noticed that everything was still there.

He frowned. 'What the hell...'

However, then he lowered his gaze to his trousers and thought that he was feeling rather drafty.

'Oh shit, I lost my underwear?' His eyebrows twitched.

He then sighed with some relief, as it was something he could easily buy from any store and planned to do so soon.

After that, he turned his gaze to the stat points.

He had 100 stat points.

'Now, where should I assign them?'
