Thus, several communities began to no longer be afraid or ashamed to appear as they really were in Oasis, and began to feel much better when they saw that their treatment there was like that of anyone else.

Alex was surprised that there were even some wheelchair users who didn't want to make a character that could walk and decided to use wheelchair characters in Oasis as well, and to encourage this, Alex even made a wheelchair store where the Player could buy and customize their wheelchair with several features, including removing the speed limiter, or even replacing the chair's wheels with a motor that would make the chair float.
