Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 137
Chapter 137 - 137
"Then don't be dazed, come in quickly."
Finn said lightly, moving directly to the sofa with casual ease.
"Finn, you've been living pretty well, huh?"
Spider-Man—Peter Parker—looked around the luxurious yet laid-back interior and couldn't help but let a hint of envy slip into his voice.
"It's okay. Life's got to be fun, doesn't it?"
Finn spread his hands, lounging back. "What's the reason you're here this time?"
"Why? You're not welcoming us?"
Peter chuckled as he walked further in.
"What do you mean? If you arrange a big bed for me to lie on comfortably, I'll welcome you very much."
Finn said calmly, shooting a look that was half-serious, half-joking.
"I'm curious—what brought all three of you here?"
Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, tilted her head in curiosity. When all of them appeared together, it usually meant something serious was going down.
"Finn, remember what I told you—the divine aura. We went to investigate, but we didn't find anything. Still, the pressure from that aura is extremely strong. That's why I brought them with me to find you."
Stephen Strange didn't mince words. The Sorcerer Supreme got straight to the point, his expression tight with urgency.
Finn nodded. "I get what you mean. But... nothing's happened yet, has it?"
Even though he was reluctant, there were things that required attention—especially now. In just a few months, the mysterious figure would arrive, and the entire Kamar-Taj would be mobilized.
"That's exactly why we came to find you. Even though nothing's exploded yet, the sensation is real. I can feel it—that aura is overwhelming."
Stephen's eyes flashed with solemn intensity. He wasn't joking in the slightest.
"In that case, let's go. No point wasting time."
Finn stood up, brushing his coat back.
Stephen was surprised. He had approached Finn two weeks ago, trying to get him to cooperate, and at that time, Finn had refused. What changed now?
As if reading his mind, Finn sighed and spread his hands helplessly.
"The last time we were outside, we had time to fool around. Now, we don't. And when the mysterious guy shows up in a few months, we're going to need Kamar-Taj's help. So both emotionally and logically, it makes sense to cooperate with you now. Right?"
He didn't bother hiding anything, speaking with rare seriousness. And from his perspective, it really was logical. Otherwise, they wouldn't have moved with Strange at such a critical moment.
"Alright. It's not too late. Let's go right away."
Stephen wasted no time. He drew a golden portal with practiced movements, and the group stepped through together.
They arrived at Kamar-Taj, where they planned to monitor the arcane energy fluctuations. They had time, and there was no need to panic—yet.
And more importantly, compared to operations of this scale, it took more energy to relax than to respond.
"How's your Kamar-Taj restoration project going?"
Finn's gaze swept across the repaired sanctum, eyebrows raising in surprise.
He vividly remembered the destruction during the Nightmare Realm's assault. Back then, the damage had been catastrophic. Restoring this place to such a state would've taken years by ordinary means.
Stephen smiled. "Don't forget, we're sorcerers. Rebuilding Kamar-Taj wasn't exactly a manual job."
"Don't waste time," Wanda interrupted with narrowed eyes. "Detect the energy surge now so we can head out immediately."
The Scarlet Witch didn't believe in tiptoeing around matters like this. She was blunt and precise—like a scalpel.
"Come with me."
Stephen guided them to the main square. A cluster of Kamar-Taj magi were already gathered, their expressions shifting into awe as they saw Finn and the others appear alongside the Sorcerer Supreme.
Could it be that the Sorcerer Supreme foresaw another major event?
It wasn't impossible. They had only just recovered from the Night Terror incursion—another disaster so soon was almost unthinkable.
"This the place you detected the energy spike?"
Finn asked, voice flat but attentive.
"That's about right."
Stephen nodded, raising his hands. Instantly, a tall stone pillar lit up with brilliant arcane energy, casting radiant golden runes across the square.
Then it began.
A potent, alien wave distorted the surrounding space. Faint ripples shimmered in the air like heatwaves—subtle but undeniable.
The energy was enormous. Unnatural.
"This fluctuation is insane. Good thing you called us."
Even Wanda felt the weight of it. Her fingers twitched instinctively, her body reacting before her mind fully processed the sensation.
"I told you—I wouldn't bring you in unless it was serious. And more than just raw power, it's infused with divine resonance. We suspect it's coming from Asgard."
Stephen's voice was low and serious.
Finn frowned. "I'm heading to Asgard again?"
"If we want to get to the bottom of this, we'll need insight from someone like Thor. He's a god. His knowledge might unlock the reason behind this fluctuation."
Stephen's logic was sound.
"In that case, let's go. I'm curious to see how things are in Asgard these days."
Finn's voice softened slightly. He hadn't been back in months, but he believed Asgard, especially under Thor's guidance, would be thriving.
In truth, he missed that place. It wasn't just a mystical kingdom in the sky—it felt like peace. Like home.
Calm. Serene. A place without worry.
"Asgard... I'm in."
Wanda didn't object. The memory of walking on the golden beaches of New Asgard with Finn was still fresh in her mind. That moment had carved itself deep, refusing to fade.
That world had felt like something out of a dream—and not the kind you wake up from.
"Since none of you object, I'm in too."
The Dark Witch—Wanda—spoke up with a quiet nod.
Ever since she had started staying with Finn, the idea of spending every day with them was more than appealing. She may have felt a flicker of envy, but being close to him brought a strange joy she couldn't deny.
"Then let's go together."
Stephen exhaled in relief. Getting Finn's cooperation was never a guarantee—it took the right time and the right motivation.
He turned to Wong, who had been standing silently behind him the entire time.
"Kamar-Taj must be protected. I need you to stay here and maintain order."
Wong nodded without hesitation.
"Leave it to me. You won't have to worry about anything on this end."
