Marvel: Umbrella Corporation-Chapter 170: News of Odin’s Death
Chapter 170 - News of Odin's Death
After returning to the base, Wade was immediately summoned to stand before Luna.
Luna was leaning against the desk, flipping through a stack of documents. When Wade arrived, she put down the papers and adjusted her glasses.
"Sigh... Wade, you've violated the rules multiple times now. If you keep this up, we'll have no choice but to put you on ice."
Wade wasn't sure what "put on ice" meant, but he didn't care much about Luna's words.

"What rule did I break? What are you even talking about? You guys never tell me anything, and now you're saying I broke some rule?"
He didn't want to stay with the Umbrella Corporation any longer. His strategy was simple—be uncooperative and difficult until they terminated his contract.
Luna rubbed her temple, clearly annoyed.
"Honestly, if it weren't for Felia covering for you, I would have shut you up long ago."
"Oh no, I'm so scared. Really terrified. But this is just how I am—what can you do about it?"
"Red Queen, silence him."
The moment Luna gave the order, Wade found himself unable to speak. His eyes widened in shock as he gestured wildly with his hands.
'You can't do this! I have a right to speak! If you're going to silence me, you might as well kill me!'
Seeing Wade still flailing about, Luna sighed. "Red Queen, paralyze him."
Wade instantly froze in place, unable to move a muscle.
Satisfied, Luna nodded. "I'll report this to the boss. In the meantime, you'll be punished. Take him to the confinement room until the matter here is resolved."
Two guards entered the room, grabbed Wade, and dragged him away.
At the same time, near the site where Mjolnir had landed, a team was busy analyzing the area, trying to understand the strange electromagnetic readings caused by the lightning strike.
In the midst of it all, Loki appeared in front of Mjolnir. No one else seemed to notice him—he had cloaked himself with an illusion.
Loki gazed at the hammer with mild interest. After a moment of hesitation, he reached out and gripped the handle.
A powerful resistance pushed back against him. Mjolnir rejected him.
Realizing he couldn't lift the hammer, Loki let go and turned toward Thor's cell.
Inside the cell, Thor sat slumped in a chair, head bowed in despair. He still couldn't believe that Mjolnir had rejected him.
His heart was heavy. All his previous acts of bravery and strength now seemed meaningless. No wonder his father had banished him.
Hearing someone approach, Thor lifted his head.
"Loki? What are you doing here?"
"I have to tell you something important."
"What happened? Is it about the Frost Giants? I know I made a mistake—please, let me explain to Father. I know I was wrong—"
"Father is dead."
Thor froze, his eyes widening in disbelief.
Seeing Thor's stunned expression, Loki continued, "He couldn't handle the strain of banishing you and the renewed war with the Frost Giants. He... couldn't take it anymore."
Thor's gaze dropped to the floor. Tears welled in his eyes. He hadn't felt such deep sadness since childhood.
Even when he was banished, he had only felt anger and humiliation. But now... this was pure grief.
Seeing Thor's reaction, Loki's expression softened. "Brother, don't be sad. You couldn't have known. I tried to warn him, but he wouldn't listen."
Thor's shoulders trembled as he fought back tears.
Loki leaned closer. "Brother, you couldn't lift the hammer, and now the burden of the throne falls on me. I will find a way to bring you home."
Thor raised his head weakly. "I... I can't go back?"
"No. The peace treaty with the Frost Giants requires your permanent exile."
Thor's eyes darkened with despair. "Is there really no other way?"
Loki shook his head. "No. And Mother doesn't want you to return either. She's afraid it would dishonor Father's sacrifice and risk another war."
Tears rolled down Thor's cheeks. "I... I'm sorry... This is all my fault..."
Loki placed a hand on Thor's shoulder. "Goodbye, brother. I'm sorry."
Thor's tears fell silently as Loki turned and walked away. A small, satisfied smirk formed on Loki's lips as he exited the room.
Just as Loki left, the cell door swung open.

High heels echoed on the floor as Luna stepped into the room.
"Hello, Mr. Thor."
Thor glanced up at the woman before him. She was strikingly beautiful, with a composed yet seductive air. But his heart was too heavy to care.
Luna's smile sharpened. "You don't need to worry. You crossed into our territory, but we won't harm you. Still, I am curious about one thing."
Thor's voice was low and broken. "What?"
"We couldn't find any records of you. No name, no ID, no background. It's like you don't exist."
"Because I don't belong to this world."
"Then where are you from?"
"Asgard."
"We've already checked. There's no such place on Earth."
"It's not on Earth. It's part of the Nine Realms."
Luna's eyes narrowed. "So you're saying you're an alien?"
Thor shook his head. "No. I'm a god. The God of Thunder."
Luna's expression darkened. "Right. A god. Sure."
She turned toward the door. "There's no point in continuing this conversation."
As she left, her heels clicking down the hall, Luna's thoughts turned sharp, 'A god? Don't make me laugh.'
'In this world, there's only one person qualified to be called a god.'
