Master Craftsman of the Pokémon World-Chapter 181
Various mushrooms and truffles were beloved treats for many Pokémon. They were popular at the Rocky Mountain Ruins.
The Ice Stone, on the other hand, was used by Pokémon with Ice-type moves and could be found often in the forests and mountains of Shinto.
As for the Ancient Soil, it was a necessary resource for the Valley of Light, something that Ursaluna had constantly been exchanging for using Grit Stones.
Now, this so-called "ruins village" had transformed into a secret realm within the Shinto Forest. Countless Pokémon had caught wind of it and flocked here, bringing whatever they considered useful to trade fairly.
"Next, I'll move the Iceberg Ruins nearby as well. While I'm at it, I'll also teach you all how to better cultivate these mushrooms and wood ear fungus."
"Oh, and I want to refrigerate some goods in the Iceberg Shrine."
Hikaru had long planned to use the Iceberg Shrine as a natural ice warehouse to better brew and preserve beverages and food. As a bonus, he took out a surplus bottle of Star Peach Wine.
Every Pokémon present got a taste. Their ways of drinking were, of course, wildly diverse. Pokémon with mouths drank normally. For Pokémon like Dusknoir, whose mouths were located on their bellies, it saved digestion altogether. Then there were Pokémon like the Legendary Titans. Regice, for instance, poured the wine directly onto its frozen body, instantly freezing the liquid before it absorbed it into its crystalline form.
"Beep! Beep! Beep!"
Regice suddenly became excited!
The scene exploded with chatter as the immense power contained within the Star Peach Wine triggered indescribable reactions among the Pokémon—unlocking hidden potential, boosting confidence and motivation, even "self-inspiration," and overall significant state enhancements!
With their heightened energy and efficiency, the follow-up tasks were completed without a hitch. Hikaru did indeed need help drawing out the terrain layout—after all, moving the Iceberg Shrine would cover a massive area, including numerous cultivation zones and layers of peat soil.
Just like the earlier phenomenon with the Obsidian Ruins, a powerful tremor surged through the land, and the Iceberg Ruins seamlessly appeared in the southeastern corner of the ruins village, bringing along the surrounding resource lands.
A notification popped up before Hikaru:
["Unnamed Settlement" — Wonder Rating increased. Current: 2.]
[Status: Beginner-Level Pocket Dimension.]
[Linked Locations: Traveler's Workshop, Forest of Relics, Rocky Mountain Ruins, Iceberg Ruins, Obsidian Ruins, Shinto Graveyard, Ancient Garden, Valley of Light.]
[Description: The Wonder Rating is a special value originating from the world of Mystery Dungeon, ranging from 1 to 5. The higher the number, the more frequent bizarre phenomena occur, such as random dungeon shifts or slowed enemy actions.]
[Due to the influence of mysterious forces, the Unnamed Settlement has become a hidden realm. Since the current world lacks dungeon phenomena, the resulting pocket dimension can only be accessed via invitation—though Pokémon are not restricted.]
[Would you like to name the settlement "Pokémon Ruins Town"?]
Hikaru blinked and selected Yes.
With that, what had only been a temporary nickname, "Ruins Town," now became an official designation. Another new message surfaced in his mind:
[Naming complete. A named pocket dimension can interact with others. Occasionally, it may produce special resources. Constructing new ruins-related facilities here will yield an additional 100% effectiveness, +100% material output, and all newly linked ruins will enjoy the same benefits. Pokémon growth rates within this realm will be significantly enhanced.]
[Ruins Town can open special gateways to other ruins using "Dreamlink Knowledge," "Town Development Techniques," and "Ultra Gate Technology."]
The Pokémon world already had many alternate dimensions, not to mention that the technology of Mystery Dungeons came from another world entirely. So even if the idea of pocket dimensions sounded intimidating at first, after reading through everything, Hikaru felt only peace and joy.
In short… this place had become like a "main city hub" in a game.
Trading, resource gathering, item crafting, even teleportation access to other regions…
To the Pokémon, this was a perfect home—a place where their growth could be accelerated. All they needed to do was maintain the land and continue living peacefully.
Just then, a strange feeling welled up in Hikaru's heart.
[The Guardian Stone appears to have unlocked a new power. Hurry back and take a look!]
"Hmm, I should head back. Thanks for all your help!"
Hikaru waved goodbye to the Pokémon. As he left, he heard sounds from the Forest of Relics—Voltorb and Lilligant were bouncing around joyfully, shouting that the trees had suddenly grown a ton of berries. How strange.
Resources were now doubled, and his workshop could now enjoy the same bonuses. Upon returning near the workshop, Hikaru noticed that the herbs in the medicine garden and the berries in the orchard had indeed grown both in quantity and size.
That was because his workshop also counted as a "ruin."
"…Now that this place has become a pocket dimension, I guess people won't be able to visit me so easily anymore."
Back inside the workshop, he went to the forge room where the Guardian Stone lay, shimmering with a faint glow. As Hikaru reached out to touch it, a surge of strange golden energy burst forth, flooding directly into his body!
[Activated: Genesis Power (Power of Judgement) — Weak.]
[Description: Allows plants to instantly flourish and grow while sealing powerful external forces. It gathers elemental energy and originates from Arceus. In Kalos's Valley of Creation, a group of people once received Arceus's power and mastered its usage. Similarly, in ancient Johto, some were blessed with this power and built the Alph Ruins and Shinto Ruins. In the distant past, Sinnoh also had people blessed by this force.]
[Because you created a new pocket dimension and linked multiple worlds, the Guardian Stone has acknowledged you. You may now craft Arceus-related items.]
[Related Items: Eternity Armlet (effects unknown); Jar of Judgment (stores all types of powers); Dimensional Ring (replica); Sphere of Time and Space (currently uncraftable); Relic Core; Arceus Phone (currently uncraftable)]
Clack.
Before he could savor this wondrous power, a strange noise came from behind the pendulum clock in his home. A few odd wooden tablets dropped to the floor. The Symbol Plates in his bag suddenly began glowing.
"Huh?"
The Symbol Plates rolled out, glowing with a soft blue aura. They resonated with the fallen wooden tablets and began assembling into words.
Entei — The Volcano Pokémon.
Entei, a member of the Ho-Oh Guardian Trio, had orange-red fur and powerful limbs adorned with iron bands. Its cheeks bore red six-pointed stars, and its forehead had a golden clover-shaped crest. Wisps of white mist trailed behind it.
It was said that when Entei roars, volcanoes erupt.
"Something related to Entei is about to happen?"
This automatic assembly of words was clearly a form of foresight—just like when Regirock sought him out.
As Hikaru touched the Symbol Plates, he suddenly heard a furious dragon's roar from within.
At the end of the roar, the plates assembled more words, along with the mysterious wooden tablets joining in again.
"Help me?"
Hikaru stared in shock at the assembled words. After a moment of thought, he turned to the ancient pendulum clock and called for Unown.
No response.
Unown E had vanished. It had completely disappeared from its lazy little corner of the house.
This made Hikaru frown. Then, as if inspired, he quickly opened his computer.
Before he could even type anything, two of his client chat groups were already buzzing with over 99 messages.
"Something strange happened on the Verdant Plains in Johto—it's made the news."
In the chat, Elite Four member Itsuki (Will) showed the most interest. As one of Johto's Elite Four, he typically focused on defending the Pokémon League and didn't interfere with outside matters. But something this big happening in the Verdant Plains clearly caught his attention.
"Massive psychic disturbances in the Verdant Plains? Could this be a Psychic-type incident?"
"A giant crystal tower has appeared near the Snodon Mansion…"
The incident was still under preliminary investigation. If local authorities couldn't handle it, then the League would escalate it and dispatch the Elite Four. So Itsuki hadn't taken action just yet.
"Ah, it's a movie-level event—'The Emperor of the Crystal Tower!' No wonder… Unown E must've been captured to help create Entei!"
Hikaru slapped his forehead in realization. After a moment of thought, he sent a private message to Mewtwo.
If he wanted to leave the Shinto lands and head straight to the Verdant Plains… he'd have to rely on Mewtwo's power!
