Masteria Online: Shattering the Dark God's Grand Scheme-Chapter 162 - To Execute
At the same time that Lena had her lesson, Seyen led Lumi to her prison.
A human would ask Lumi what his problem was, wanting to execute defenseless pixies. Seyen, a pixie herself, had no such questions. Humans and pixies were enemies, were they not? In Seyen’s eyes, the only difference between Lumi and most humans was that he realized this, and didn’t delude himself.
It is only natural for pixies and humans to want each other dead. That was Seyen’s genuine belief.
She thought she saw through Lumi. She believed that Lumi was doing this to reduce the total strength of pixies, and thus make them less dangerous to humans.
That was actually partially right. The other reason was that Lumi wanted experience, but Seyen couldn’t possibly know that.
And you know what? Reducing the population and strength of pixies? Seyen was entirely willing to cooperate with that. Because Seyen really didn’t care about pixies as a whole. Only her own personal power.
That wasn’t unique to Seyen. Many pixies were similar, only holding token affection for each other at best.
She stood coldly as she showed Lumi around the prison. It was a crude structure, barely more than a hollowed-out section of tree with barriers set up to prevent escape.
Inside were about a dozen pixies. They were in various states of health, ranging from alert, injured, to drugged. Most of those who could still move and think were staring at Seyen with pure hatred.
Seyen ignored it entirely.
She gestured to Lumi. "They’re yours."
One of them glanced to Lumi, then back to Seyen. She spat at her feet. "Traitor! How could you work with that disgusting species!? Those are supposed to be our prey! To slaughter and torture! You disgrace!"
Lumi didn’t bother to debate with a dead pixie. He raised his wand. "Lance of Light."
The lances materialized and shot forward, piercing through the pixie who had spoken. The pixie screamed, blood spraying as the light tore through its body. It fell, twitching once, then went still.

The room went still. The rest of the pixies looked on, each with varying expressions. Some were mocking, some were panicked. None had caught on to what Lumi was truly here for.
Most merely thought Lumi had killed it for running its mouth.
Lumi didn’t stop at one. "Lance of Light." He cast again. And again. And again.
"STOP-" The pixies screamed.
"WHY~?"
"But I-"
"I WON’T TORTURE HUMANS CHILDREN ANYM-"
Some were confused, others begged, others tried to negotiate. It didn’t matter. Seyen watched without emotion.
Lumi showed none either. He simply cast, methodically eliminating each one.
Soon enough, they were all dead.

Lumi lowered his wand and opened his skill panel.
He inspected his current skills. Thus far, he had been inputting his points into his passives since he had yet to test Convergence properly. Now that he had, he knew that it was extremely powerful, more than he imagined.
The only downside was that it required being charged up through continuous casting in battle.
If he leveled Convergence, he leveled his peak power.
If he leveled Lance of Light, and by extension Void Sphere since they leveled together, he would be leveling his most common state.
If he leveled his passives, then he would always be stronger.
He considered his needs. At his current level, physical dodging was still possible, and he was a master of teleporting. Increasing his defensive capability was a choice. Not a good one, but it certainly was one of the available options.
Plus, in light mode, he already healed himself passively.
A thought suddenly came to him and he stopped his internal debate entirely and put his eight skill points into Torment, bringing it to 9.
What he realized was that the pixies didn’t matter. He should never lose sight of his real target.
The Dark One. One day, ultimately, at the end of the line, he would have to face the Dark One. Yet for now, his first real target was the demon, Currway. He should not be concerned about his damage under regular circumstances, but his maximal possible output.
Though obviously Torment would not even tickle the Dark One.
But the point remained, he needed high-end combat power. He’d soon be taking Currway down.
And in fact, even if he could finish the pixie war quickly by killing the queen, he didn’t want to. He didn’t want Seyen to win outright. He wanted the fight to be long, drawn out over days, with more pixies joining each side, turning it into a massive battle royale.
He wanted an endless flood of pixies to fight.
The only reason he needed to pick a side, any side, was because otherwise, he’d be a common enemy besieged by all sides. This way, he was just an elite under Seyen. One of the stronger fighters in her faction.
And the factions were not limited to just Seyen and the Queen. There were others. Similar groups, smaller groups, opportunists, and more, waiting to see how things played out.
Regardless of his thoughts, Seyen’s were elsewhere.
Lumi didn’t have an ulterior motive beyond killing pixies, right? He would help her now, right? Just to kill more pixies? She could provide that. She really hoped he didn’t back out now.
Lumi nodded. "Let’s go."
They left the prison and met back up with Lena.
With a gesture from Seyen, the forces began to converge. A huge cloud of pixies got into formation. Lumi and Lena got in line too.
At the front was Seyen, and her two lieutenants were right behind her. Behind them were Lumi and Lena. Behind them were about a dozen pixies that had just entered Second Rank, hovering around level 30 or 31.
Then behind them were the large, nameless mass of pixies, nearly a thousand strong.
They weaved through the foliage, the vegetation, the thinning tree trunks as they neared the top of the forest. They rushed toward a destination that Seyen knew very well.
The queen.
