Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 276: Retribution Was Near
[THE OBREN PALACE]
"Eunbi-aaa,’’ Kaia said in a singsong voice as he got closer to them.
"Jungwoo-yaa, I heard you killed Oshita. It must have really been nice, using the blade of the bitch that couldn’t even defend her family. Or was it because you found a chance to bite the hand that saved you," Kaia chuckled darkly.
"I was sent to come fetch you. We are supposed to go on a little trip, Eunbi-yaa. But guess what, we have to take a detour. I promised her that I would go back in twenty minutes and a lot can happen in twenty minutes," Kaia teased as he made it to the dungeon.
"Oh shit, she told me you’d be here too. But don’t worry, Yanna Petrova Kravoski. I will deal with you last,’’ Kaia said as he looked at the woman, before letting out a loud sinister laugh and his hybrids joined in too.
This was going to be beautiful.
Yanna wasn’t sure how she had grown to be the target of a man she had never seen in her life, but she had a feeling that this had to do with Kim Rania. That woman was always making her life difficult.
Maybe this time, Yanna would find a better way out of this predicament, right? Well, that was a huge gamble on her end, but she just had to wait.
Looking at Kaia, Yanna could tell that there was more to the man they were all seeing. There was something about Kaia, something about the danger that Yanna found attractive. Perhaps it was just Yanna being Yanna, but what were the chances, right?
Kaia Seto had a dangerous allure, something that she knew she would need to stay away from, but even then, she couldn’t deny the fact that she loved what she was seeing, the cold man who had nothing to care about, right?
She had never found a man as interesting as she did Kaia, and perhaps after his mission here, they would have some time to chat, right? Well, it did seem like he knew her, probably from Rania, so the introduction bit had to have been covered for them, no?
There was a lot at stake and in play, especially when it came to Yanna and Kaia. It was no wonder that Han and Rania had been so insistent. But what was it that got them in that state?
What was so bad about Yanna that Kaia had to be forced by his brother to turn off his humanity and be the beast that didn’t care about a mission that had so high stakes? Besides, didn’t they trust that Kaia could handle himself against Yanna?
"No way. What the hell?" King Seojoon said as he watched the hybrids clamor at the entrance of their dungeon. It was a huge dungeon, and the silver doors were staring back at them in pleasant ways.
Then again, with their magic, the hybrids had the ability to endure any burns from silver, not to mention the fact that they still had their lives spelled to immortality by their master who was here with them.
"Aww, is the little king finally opening his eyes to see his truth? I expected you to be faster than that though, Seojoon. It’s really been a long time, man," Kaia greeted casually like he and the werewolf king had been old acquaintances.
Perhaps they had been in the times of Old Obren, but that in itself was never a guarantee for anyone to know what was going on in Kaia Seto’s mind. The man was the devil, and worse than the devil in all ways possible.
"Why the fuck are you here?" the queen asked and Kaia tsked at the helpless queen. For someone who was tangled deep into the web of secrets, this woman sure did know how to miss the target.
She had been living like this for years and it was a pity that until the last moment, she was still going to be the werewolf king’s secret puppet. Maybe this was a chance for the queen to get up and save herself, no?
But given the chance, would Queen Eunbi really do that?
Would she brave the storms and find her way among the powerful and the lost souls? She was at the center of the circus, but even she wasn’t aware of it yet. Maybe the time would come for her to make the decision to leave her good-for-nothing husband, right?
Oh, but that would work, if only the queen was with all the possible information. But until then, all she had was nothing. Literally. And with her kingdom burned by the hybrids to the ground, the queen was once again reduced to a woman who used to have something.
A woman whose world was taken away from her and more than anything, she remained the woman who had lost everything because of the husband her parents had forced on her, or was it love? What a mess.
"Oh, sweet Eunbi-aa. Please don’t tell me you want to save him again. This man is a bastard, but well, that is the choice you have to deal with. As for me, and my people, we have been sent to ruin your lives.
"Technically you ruined my little butterfly’s life first, so this is a mission of retribution, but who’s counting, right?" Kaia said with a laugh as he watched the queen stare at her husband.
This man was the master of so many things, and yet as they stood there in the dungeons, it was obvious that the king would never stand a chance against Kaia Seto. Perhaps it was time for the queen to make her decision too, right?
"You shut your mouth. You know nothing," the king said and Kaia smirked at him like they were supposed to know each other. Then again, the closer Kaia got to the king, the more he was reminded of a time he had had an interaction with the werewolf king.
That was when he had wiped off his memory, but surely the king couldn’t be that weak, right? Well, against Kaia, every creature was weak and pathetic in all forms. Against him, no one would ever stand a chance, and that much was obvious.
"Oh wait, maybe you really know nothing," Kaia chuckled darkly. It was becoming a habit of his and he was loving every moment he spent here. Maybe this was what his heaven looked like, but was that it really?
The werewolf king looked at his family and the hybrid that they had gotten themselves tangled with. He could tell that there was more about Kaia that he didn’t know, and he hated it.
It was like facing an opponent that knew everything about him, but he knew nothing of it. Maybe he could try his luck with Kaia, right? After all, what was the worst that the bastard before them could do anyway?
King Seojoon looked at the bastard psycho who was standing at the door of the dungeons, the man who was a threat to his family and his loved ones. Sure, the palace had been wiped clean, but the fact that his family had been left alive, had to mean something, right?
Maybe, just maybe, they could appeal to Kaia’s empathy.
"Let them be. Take me with you. I don’t know who you are, but you can take me to your master," the king said and Kaia let out a laugh.
