Chapter 376: Extra Chap: Kaia & Odelia - A Chance At Fate?

[Somewhere in the Supernatural Realm, 8 years after Rania’s 16th Birthday]

"Master Seto, are you sure about this?" Al-Raqeeb asked for the hundredth time. The news about Rania’s banishment had spread like wildfire and his Master had been too keen on hearing how this would go.

Ever since he had come for Rania’s sweet sixteen. Master Seto had been keeping his distance. He had tried to watch over her in the best possible way he could without spooking her.

He knew she was intelligent and could read through situations. However, now that she was going to be alone and without the support of Incayon, Master Seto knew that Rania would be in so much danger.

She had a lot of enemies, most of whom would do whatever it took to take her out and face no consequences for it. After all, the strongest Alpha female has been reduced to just a rogue.

And while that didn’t mean shit, given Rania was a white wolf and a powerful one, Master Seto knew that there would be some people who would attempt to kill her.

"Yes, Raqeeb. I have watched and waited for seven years. Incayon should have protected her but they didn’t. I have to step in.

"Prepare to leave with me," Master Seto said to his most trusted warrior who knew there was no point in trying to convince the man again.

His Master had always done what he wanted and right now, with the news about Rania out there Raqeeb couldn’t blame his master for wanting to go after Rania.

Over the years, Raqeeb had tried to understand why his Master had been looking for Rania and he had never quite understood it. Of course, he asked him one day, and all his hamster had to say, was that, "She’s the perfect fit."

He didn’t get any more explanations for them on, but he was also smart to know when there wasn’t a need to press on, even though he assumed that his Master wanted Rania for himself, given Rania was powerful and would make the perfect partner for him.

"Where are we going?" Raqeeb dared to ask once they were set to leave.

"The Obren border. If she was banished, she would use the passage that rogues use when they leave the kingdom. We will find her there," Master Seto said and Raqeeb nodded in understanding.

He was slowly coming to terms with their Master’s new way of doing things.

"Okay, Master," the warrior said before his Master created a portal and they both went through. It didn’t take them a while to get to the Obren borders and start sniffing her out amidst the scent of the rogues in the region.

However, the longer they searched, the more they realized that there wasn’t much for them to find. The scent they were looking for wasn’t there and Master Seto, however worried, didn’t show it. Instead, he cast a spell to sniff her out.

"Call out to the Odelia troll. She should know a thing or two about the banished Alpha," Master Seto said and for a moment, Raqeeb looked at his Master like he was insane.

There were stories of the Odelia troll not being trustworthy and murdering like that was the only thing the woman did. Was his Master really willing to risk the life of a woman he liked by engaging the Odelia troll?

That woman was crazy, that woman was all sins that shouldn’t have been left to live, and yet as Raqeeb stood there beside his huge master, he could tell that the man was truly serious.

"She’s dangerous, Master," Raqeeb tried to explain and his Master just let out a laugh.

"More than me?" Master Seto asked and Raqeeb instantly shut up.

Of course, there wasn’t a soul in the entire realm that was more dangerous than the man he was standing beside, but goddamn, he couldn’t help but distrust the Odelia troll.

"No, sure. I’ll call her," Raqeeb said before he cast a summoning spell that sought out the dangerous trill that killed aimlessly.

He knew that this was a terrible idea, but he hoped that the Odelia troll wouldn’t harm Rania because then she would be another body for Raqeeb to burn. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

It wasn’t exactly a good and easy job, but over the years, the hybrid warrior had learned to do whatever it took, because his Master had treated him with utmost respect and care, despite his Master being so cruel and heartless.

"Who dares to summon the troll of the realm?" a grouchy female voice asked.

"I do," Master Seto responded with a smirk on his face, like he was dating the woman to say anything that could not please him.

Odelia seemed to be familiar with Master Seto, because when she opened her eyes and saw the beast before him, a man the myths always talked of, she knew this wasn’t just some calling and shit.

"Kaisei Chihiro Seto, the cursed child of the moon and the Valley of the Whites. To what do I owe the unpleasant honors? Come to kill me?" Odelia asked and Raqeeb stared at the woman with an open jaw.

He had never heard anyone talk to his Master so casually and unafraid. Raqeeb could have sworn he had seen the woman shudder when she heard Sato’s voice, but was that it really or had she been laying along?

"Your warrior looks shocked. I guess you have been keeping up with the reputation huh? What are you doing in Obren and on this side of the border?" Odelia added and Raqeeb just started.

He wasn’t sure what he could say because clearly these two people were way more powerful than he could ever be. They could kill him with their minds and he wouldn’t even realize it.

So instinctively, Raqeeb took three steps back, and his Master just smiled at him as if to tell him that he understood. These two are the devils, but with Kaisei Chihiro being the devil of all devils.

He was the kind of bad that no one ever wanted to come face to face with.

He was terrible and poisonous, and yet as he stood in front of Odelia, the woman wasn’t even worried for herself or even scared as would many if they were in her position. Perhaps it was true what they said.

The troll was something else.

"I have no fight with you, Odelia,’’ Master Seto said and Odelia just glared at him as if he was supposed to keep talking and make things clearer.

"Well in that case, get to the point. I’m not googling to pretend that your face is something I want to see," Odelia said and Raqeeb choked on air.

What the hell was this woman really, because there was just no way she was breathing after talking to his master like that. The master he knew was deadly, a man who never even had straight conversations with anyone other than Raqeeb himself.

Even the other hybrid warriors never got the chance to talk to the man and yet Odelia was here talking to him like there were better things she needed to do other than stand there with him.

"Kim Rania," Master Seto said and Odelia glared at the man before him. Those were dangerous waters the man was walking, but did that matter to Master Seto who had his eyes set on Rani?

"Careful, Seto. You don’t want to touch what’s mine," Odelia said and Master Seto just chuckled.

"I need your help to find her," Master Seto said and Odelia raised a brow at him.

Seto always found whatever he wanted and Odelia knew that if he wanted to, he could. However, the fact that the barbarian was willing to seek help with Rania despite his reputation, intrigued Odelia.

Perhaps there was something she was missing, right?

"You have never asked for help. Not even when you were looking for your brother. Who is she to you?" Odelia asked, even though she had a feeling she wouldn’t be surprised by the answers.

However, she had to know because there was no knowledge of Kaisei Seto. This man was dangerous in all the possible ways and if he was here in Obren just when Rania had been banished, it had to mean something.

Maybe that gave Odelia hope, but then she wouldn’t let herself hope. It was too dangerous and she couldn’t afford to have that right now.

"You know who she is. Don’t play dumb, will you help me or not?" Master Seto said and Odelia stared at him with a blank face.

"Do I? If anything, she might have rattled your little band of misfits and now you want my help in finding her so you can take her out. No one can do that. Find someone else.

"If you’re not going to tell me what you want with her, or who she is to you, then forget it. I have better things to do," Odelia said and Raqeeb stared at the spectacle before him.

He couldn’t believe that there was someone who ever said no to his smarter and still got to live in the next second.

It was crazy what was happening ad Raqeeb wasn’t sure what the fuck would be happening because frankly, even he hadn’t expected to see that the troll was capable of transforming into a human.

It was something that even he couldn’t quite comprehend yet.

"She’s my beloved," Master Seto and Odelia stared at the man like there was more to this than just him deciding the crazy wolf was his beloved.

Surely he couldn’t have heard the barbarian devil himself say he was bound to the craziest of all Alphas right?

There had to be something that got them to this point, because even she couldn’t understand what the fuck was going on right now. This just didn’t make any sense.

"What?" Odelia asked, hoping to see the man call the bluff, but the man didn’t.

"Are you sure, Seto? Because I know she has a werewolf mate who doesn’t even know they are mates. How sure are you that the time-ticking bomb is your beloved?" Odelia asked.

She needed to be certain, because she knew Rania and she knew the girl had gone through hell and back.

Granted, Rania never was one to ask for help but even Odelia knew what she was hurting in so many ways. She had tried to make things better but then the matters of the earth were things that even she couldn’t understand.

Oh, how she cared for Rania. But if the barbarian here was trying to stake a claim on her it had to mean something. The whole realm knew that Kaisei Seto only cared for one person and that was his brother, Yanagida Seto.

"I was there on her sixteenth birthday, Odelia. I know what I am talking about. Will you help me or not? I know where she is, but I can’t exactly walk over to her and start acting all protective.

"I need you to be my link to her," Master Seto said and Odelia began pacing.

What the man was asking of her was impossible. It was like he was testing her, tempting her to go against what she believed in. There was a chance that Seto would hurt the banished Alpha, and that was a risk that Odelia couldn’t take.

Not with Rania.

"That ain’t good enough for me, Seto. She’s very dear to me and while she may have been banished, we both know she is the white wolf and can take over the power that she so wanted.

"Why do you really want her? And why should I trust that you won’t hurt her?" Odelia asked.

She couldn’t just agree to the most dangerous creature to ever exist.

She knew she was somewhat challenging Kaisei Chihiro Seto, but then it wasn’t like she had many options at the moment. She had sworn to protect Rania but right now she needed to know if the barbarian was coming after Rania for other reasons.

"I wouldn’t hurt her, Odelia. I swear on my cursed life. I just want to make sure she is okay and safe. That is all I need. I know I have a long life and one that can’t be met or matched by anything, but for her, I would do everything just to see her happy.

"I’m willing to spend an eternity watching her from a distance, as long as she is happy. But right now, she isn’t and you know that too, considering you are also here in Obren. Your home is far away. So, what will it be, Odelia.

"Will you help me or do I have to use magic to get to her?" Master Seto asked and Odelia sighed. This man was something, but then again she knew that Seto wouldn’t do that unless Rania was really important to him.

For a moment. Odelia thought back to the girl in question and how she had suffered. Then she threw back to the rumors about there being a beast in the night, a beast that did whatever it wanted.

She then thought back to the times there were earthquakes in Obren for absolutely no reason, and they confidently happened, wherever Rania was hurting or hurt and alone. Perhaps she could take the risk and trust the man right?

"If you hurt her—"

"I would never. So will you help me make sure she is okay?" Master Seto asked and Odelia knew she had long agreed to this form the movement she had started making bargains with the barbaric beast.

"On one condition," Odelia said and Master Seto looked at her with a raised brow.

"What is it?"

"You protect In Canyon and most importantly, Lim Dalrae," Odelia said, like she knew the consequences of doing anything against both. An angry Rani wasn’t someone they wanted to deal with, because the woman would be psychotic.

"That is without question, Odelia. Rania cares about her best friend and her people who never stood up for her. I understand what is at stake. So will you help me?" Master Seto asked again.

"Yes. What is it you need me to do?"

"Protect her with your life and I will grant you whatever you seek, no matter how dangerous the task is. Anything you want, you will get, that much is a promise and a covenant," Master Seto said and Odelia smirked at the man.

"You have yourself a deal," Odelia said with a smile.

"In case of anything you can’t handle—"

"I am equally powerful, Seto. But yes, I will reach out if it involves her. I shall take my leave, and you should too."

"Until next time, Odelia," Master Seto said and Odelia just shrugged before being on her way to her mission.

But was it a mission when Odelia’s loyalty always lay with Kim Rania?
