The divine Kingdom. The place of power where gods were nearly invincible.

Even a minor god could fight a more powerful god if it was in that place.

It was only there that they could be truly said to be nearly omnipotent.

Outside of it,

"Even so, at the end of the day, gods are limited by the concepts they have when outside of their kingdoms. A god of thunder can only use thunder. A god of light can only use light. Your powers though… I feel like it can do much much more." ƒ𝑟𝙚e𝔀𝗲𝒃n𝒐𝘷𝗲Ɩ.c𝗼𝚖

'Is this the power of Origin?'

She shook her head once more, trying to divert herself from thinking much about that, "You should train that power well. It might help you to elevate yourself to a higher existence and become a Celestial."

Thunder rumbled in the far distance and sparks appeared around Akasha, startling Adam,

"Are you alright?"

He knew this was a pretty stupid question as even though she was seemingly getting electrocuted, she showed no obvious discomfort.

"Do not worry. I have simply spoken a little more than I should have."

She waved her hand to dismiss the sparks and the rumbling of lightning and thunder stopped as well.

The Storm of Causality was warning her from divulging more of the gods' secrets.

With her current power, it would be easy to ignore such a weak storm. But if she did, it would surely alert the gods and they would try to find out what happened for a Storm to occur in the first place.

'They don't need to know about his existence yet.'

This was her way of giving him some protection in the earlier stage.

After the massacre Cain wrought into the Divine Realm, she was sure that many gods would be unhappy to see a second Cain come into existence.

Of course, sooner or later, the gods would find out about his existence but by then he should have become strong enough that the Storm of Causality would be too powerful for the gods to directly intervene.

She shook her head and began to walk away. She had said as much as she could to him. Now everything was up to Adam.

"Wait, please."

She turned around, "Is there something else you want to speak about?"

She wished she could go back watching a few more anime. It was one about angels.

Those anime always made her laugh with how they beautified angels when in reality, seeing the true form of an angel would be enough to make any human lose their mind. [1]

Adam had no idea about what she was thinking, but this wouldn't stop him.

"I have. So many questions. Like what deal did you make with my mom? Or what is Cain's goal? But there is one thing I must speak of first."

She stayed silent, waiting for him to continue.

"You remember, right? The last time I came, we made a bet. You told me that you would reward me if I managed to find out your true name." [1]

"Ah… Indeed. I did say that. So, did you manage to find out?"

Adam smiled and spoke in a confident tone, "I had an inkling, but after meeting Lilith, I am sure of it now. You… You are Eve, aren't you?"

Eve. [2]

Officially considered the first woman to have ever existed in the scripture.

If Lilith was the vicious evil woman who would stop at nothing for revenge, then Eve was considered the beautiful, gentle but naive woman who caused the entire human race to be cursed and cast out of Eden's Garden.

It was hard to say if the depiction of one was better than the other when all things considered. After all, Eve represented sin and seduction.

Eve was supposedly born from Adam's ribs after the latter was put in an artificial sleep.

Like the stories about Lilith, there were a few versions of the one around Eve.

The most known one was the one that placed Eve as the one who committed the first sin by disobeying God after being manipulated by the snake and eating the fruit of knowledge. In this version, Eve and subsequently all the women were cursed to suffer pain in childbirth.

What bothered Adam though, was the fact that humans were chased out of the garden so that they did not eat the Fruit of Immortality after eating the Fruit of Knowledge.

But if this woman in front of him was really Eve then, she seemed to be pretty immortal in his opinion.

Hearing this, Akasha gave a meaningful smile,

"You are right. I am Eve."

She clapped, "Congratulations. You found the right answer."

"But…"

"You must be wondering why I am still alive, right?"

She gave a low laugh as she turned around and opened her arm wide.

"Since I sought knowledge despite all the interdiction, then I was cursed to seek knowledge for all eternity."

She clenched her hand…

"This place is both my greatest dream and my most dreadful nightmare."

She seemed to emanate a bleak aura, one filled with despondency and melancholy.

"This library…is my paradise…and also, my prison."

[1]: Angels are energy being with no fixed form. Nowadays they are depicted in human form in art. But the earliest descriptions of angels in the bible are pretty scary. Like, the first thing they say all say when they 'appear' or speak to humans is: Be not afraid.

[3] Not gonna lie. I had to go through a wall of text because of Eve. Like there is the ancient Hebrew version. Then you have Jew and Christian ones.

Then you have the more modern interpretations. To give it short, in those interpretations. 'Adam' wasn't technically a man but more of an androgynous being. Neither male nor female. It's only after Adam began to feel alone that he was put to sleep and divided into male and female to help further procreation. The female part was Eve. This part was studied by more feminist movements.

I won't lie. I don't know who is right and I don't care. There are so many interpretations possible for the ancient text and from what I understood, everyone is taking the version that helps further their agenda and ignoring the rest.
