Everyone looked at Li Yao strangely. The audience, who had been cheering Prairie Fire’s name, were utterly stunned. They couldn’t begin to comprehend how he could pull such an audacious move and leave everyone in the dark.

“I knew it, when were you ever so agreeable?” Feng Yi was speechless.

“This is such a brilliant move. Gu Cheng would probably vomit blood in frustration when he learns about this,” Sister Li commented.

“I didn’t realize it at the moment, but it was so exciting,” Daimeng Tongtong said with a grin.

However, the truth was, Gu Cheng had already vomited blood. After Li Yao had eliminated him, he was forcibly teleported out and resurrected.

He then chose to log out and watch the main screen. Witnessing what Li Yao had said, Gu Cheng sat in his seat in total silence for a long time.

Never before had he suffered such humiliation. Initially, it was acceptable for him when Li Yao defeated and even eliminated him.

After all, everyone knew how fearsomely strong Li Yao was. No one would call him weak for being eliminated by Li Yao.

But what happened next was an utter farce. Their cannon had failed to fire just one shot. They ended up being completely panicked by a damageless cannonball held by two skeletons.

Gu Cheng felt his cheeks burning with humiliation as he thought about how he was toyed with and then casually eliminated by Li Yao in front of everyone.

He stared fixedly at Li Yao’s figure for a long time. Finally, he took a deep breath, his face returning to its usual calm, even managing to crack a smile.

He still appeared to be high and mighty, seemingly unflappable. However, those who were close to him knew that he was furious beyond words.

However, news spread quickly. By the time Li Yao arrived at the altar, what he had said had been whispered into the ears of the contestants by others.

Those players who had not participated in the attack on Li Yao admired him, while those who had participated glared at Li Yao with fiery eyes.

Li Yao only responded with the same friendly smile, which unsettled these people even more. His smile was as if he was mocking their ignorance.

The altar had already started for several minutes, and the three positions were like three arenas. Intense one-on-one battles were taking place.

Upon entering the altar, the skeletons behind Li Yao were stopped by an invisible force and could only wander outside.

Li Yao didn’t mind. He understood that if he was allowed to bring dozens of skeletons into a one-on-one fight, it would be a complete curb stomp, giving no room for fairness.

“Which altar do you guys want to challenge?” Li Yao asked.

Da Vinci replied, “I’ll pass. I’m currently ranked 26th, which is enough for me.”

“I’m not too interested either.” Sister Li said.

“Not interested.” Feng Yi said. She was merely participating and did not care much about the ranking.

“I wanted to challenge the Chief Priest Position, but I knew I couldn’t defeat you, Brother Li. I guess I’ll try challenging the second one.” Daimeng Tongtong grumbled.

“Thank you, Tongtong, for being magnanimous. Otherwise, I really don’t think I could have beaten you,” Li Yao replied, patting her head.

“Hmph.” Daimeng Tongtong replied with a middle finger gesture.

“Don’t think that I want to compete against a kid like you. This competition is part of my elite quest. If I don’t get first place, I’m screwed.” Li Yao seemed helpless.

“You’re the one who can get close to the queen, you deserve it.” Tutting, Tongtong stalked off towards the second priest position.

“Stay and watch Tongtong. I’ll handle this by myself,” Li Yao instructed.

Sister Li and Feng Yi nodded, accompanying Tongtong to cheer her on.

Upon reaching a stone column shrouded in mysterious glimmers, Li Yao noticed a palm sized indention and placed his hand within it.

“System: You have obtained the qualifications to challenge the Chief Priest Position. You are currently the contestant with the highest score. The challenge will commence in the next round.”

“System: 1. No yielding during the challenge or cheating allowed. If detected, immediate disqualification will occur, and any acquired elite status will be nullified, with a ban from character rebuilding for three years and elite quests for five years. 2. No stalling during the challenge. If contestants do not initiate an attack within five seconds, they will receive a warning. If they do not attack within ten seconds, they will be instantly disqualified.”

Li Yao sighed with relief. Though these rules were harsh, they would prevent anyone from intentionally throwing the match.

Li Yao then turned to look below where an arena-like area was set up. He found a spot and sat down, spotting a familiar figure among the combatants – Tie Niu Xian.

Tie Niu Xian’s opponent was a powerful Fire Mage. However, he seemed to have met his match in Tie Niu Xian, a Dragon Martial Monk.

The Fire Mage, with his hail of spells reminiscent of a machine gun and a mastery over formidable Area Spells, was at a loss when confronting Tie Niu Xian and his pesky Hidden Dragon Flash.

No matter how furious or aggressive the Fire Mage, he could not land a single hit on Tie Niu Xian.

In contrast, Tie Niu Xian continually found opportunities to Flash right behind his adversary.

Tie Niu Xian’s attacks were brilliant and powerful. The entire arena was filled with golden Five-Clawed Golden Dragons, following every punch he threw. Their roar drowned out the noises of the Fire Mage’s bombardment.

It was a downright show-off of his skills.

Of course, there was also Tie Niu Xian’s wild laughter.

“Hahaha, kiddo, why don’t you go home and train for another few years? I could beat ten of you by myself.”

“Alright, I’m done playing with you, kiddo. Otherwise, the system will blame me for toying with you.”

Tie Niu Xian’s words made the Fire Mage vomit blood. He had given it his all, but it wasn’t enough. The guy was still joking around as if Tie Niu Xian had already ensured his victory.

But it was the truth. Viewers had also realized how strong Tie Niu Xian was. They weren’t surprised he always topped the list.

Suddenly, Tie Niu Xian seized an opportunity, flashed behind the Fire Mage, and struck the latter’s back with his spike studded fists. A golden dragon then pierced through the Fire Mage’s chest and out through the other side.

Beheading Dragon Skill!

The already dwindling life of the Mage plummeted to zero.

“Hahaha, I indeed am invincible. I just have one question. Is there anybody else who dares to challenge me?” Tie Niu Xian roared with laughter as he stood in the center of the arena.

Then, a fifteen-second countdown began for the next round.

“War God, the next round is your turn, isn’t it?” a blonde female Priest asked War God.

“I would’ve been next if he hadn’t joined,” War God replied expressionlessly.

“Who?” The female Priest asked curiously.

“I likely won’t have the chance anymore,” War God said softly.

“That can’t be possible. I have never seen you give up before.”

“You’ll see,” War God said, shaking his head.

Tie Niu Xian finished eating and drinking, his health bar now refilled. He stood up as the countdown was almost over.

“Hahaha, let’s see which kid will let me educate them next. I can hardly wait,” he said proudly.

However, when he saw Li Yao being teleported in, the smile froze on his face…
