MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith-Chapter 1371: The Red Wyvern’s Scorn
Ding!
Just as the red wyvern was finished talking to them as if they didn't matter, Valyr and the others received a notification from their systems, prompting them to take a look as to why all of them got a notification at the same time.
"Huh." Though, after seeing that the cause of the notification was none other than the task before them, the young man briefly glanced at the others reading through the task before taking a look at it himself in detail.
Whoosh!

[The Red Wyvern's Scorn] (Task)
Difficulty: S
For years the red wyvern stood at the pinnacle of strength, its feats inspiring both awe and fear to those that witness its might.

However, once its dreams of becoming a true red dragon had showed its unsightly fangs of being impossible to achieve, the red wyvern more or less fell into despair overnight, rampaging whenever it could to vent out the anger and rage it had towards the world.
As the red wyvern continued to cause havoc without a care for the world, the other races decided to restrain the red wyvern, only to find out that their strength was simply not enough to contain the being.
Fortunately, the red wyvern still respected those who were able to show strength amidst its despair, not minding the methods that were used in order to do so.
As a group of envoys specifically chosen by the heavens, your goal is not to subdue the red wyvern. The heavens do not expect you to be able to achieve that with your strength.
Instead, relying on your numbers, you must instead obtain the red wyvern's respect.
Task Objective:
- Endure the red wyvern's attacks for 30 seconds.
Optional Objectives:
- Endure the red wyvern's attacks for 1 minute
- Endure the red wyvern's attacks for 2 minutes
- Endure the red wyvern's attacks for 5 minutes
Rewards:
- 100,000 XP
- 20 gold coins
- A piece of Red Wyvern Armor (20%)
- A bunch of Red Wyvern Scales (10%)
- An accessory from the Red Wyvern (5%)
- A skill from the Red Wyvern (2%)
- An enhanced piece of equipment from the Red Wyvern (0.5%)
Penalty:
- Inability to access the world raid for 1 hour
- Loss of 50,000 XP
[Note: The probability of additional rewards increases the more optional objectives are completed.]

"…Endure?" murmured Valyr to himself by the time was done, briefly glancing at the red wyvern in slight confusion.
As these words filled with doubt left the young man's mouth, he went ahead and used [Greater Analysis] on the wyvern, only to find out that a few other people in his group had done the same thing as him.
Ding!
"Although it's the hardest low-level raid, it's still something that could be cleared by someone at Rank 2," said Valyr to himself, taking in a deep breath as he prepared for what he would see on the screen.
"Surely there's no need… to endure… any…"
"…What… the fuck?"

Rubbing his eyes a couple of times to make sure he wasn't reading wrongly, the young man's mouth eventually opened in disbelief the moment he realized they were indeed about to face a red wyvern at the peak of Rank 5.
And not just any ordinary red wyvern at the peak of Rank 5.
It's a Mythic Elite tier red wyvern at the peak of Rank 5 with an Epic class.
'Not even [Soul Fusion] would help us in this situation,' thought Valyr to himself, faintly shaking his head as he looked at the other members in his group.
Unsurprisingly, almost all of them also began to feel a sense of despair the moment they realized they were up against a foe they couldn't even think of beating.
In fact, some of them had even mustered up the courage to talk to the young man, asking him if it was possible to give up on the world raid midway.
In response to the question, Valyr merely flashed a bitter smile in return, indirectly telling everyone that everyone's fates were sealed the moment they entered the rift.
Because of that, a decent number of the members immediately had forlorn expressions on their faces, the thoughts of rewards and riches already subdued by the innate fear they had towards a being far stronger than them.
"So, what's the plan, Valyr?" Fortunately, not all of them had turned out that way, with some of them looking at the upcoming fight as a challenge of sorts.
"Honestly, I've got no plan." Looking back at Thomas and the other three, the young man slightly grinned as he began to head closer to the red wyvern.
"But that doesn't mean we won't be able to stand our ground against the red wyvern… even if it's only for 30 seconds."
"Back to the basics, I see." Thomas let out a bit of laughter before accompanying his good friend on the walk. Not long after, the other three joined them, faintly giving off an aura that they were determined to do everything in their power to complete the task.
"Guild leader…" Seeing as the guild leader and the officers were taking the initiative to fight against the red wyvern even with all the odds stacked against them, some of the members felt something inside them shift as they started to move towards the red wyvern as well.
One by one, the members that stayed behind gathered up the dregs of courage within their bodies and slowly set off to fight alongside the ones that had accompanied them thus far.
In a matter of minutes, everyone had gathered all of the courage they could to stand beside their guild leader, even though they knew even a single hit from the red wyvern would knock them down.
Yet, in an ironic twist of fate, such thoughts only made them more determined than ever before.
"Fools." Seeing as everyone in Valyr's group stood in front of it with hardened expressions, the red wyvern swept its gaze over everyone before shaking its head in disdain.
"All of you are fools."
Swoosh!
Before anyone in the group could even mount a line of defense against their supposed foe, the red wyvern swept its tail over the entire group with all of its strength, rendering even Valyr powerless to fight back against it.
And with that, the Azure Coalition's journey into the world raid had come to an untimely end.
