Mobuseka:Leon's Adventure-Chapter 114
Chapter 114 - 114
"Leon has to be here," Nyx said confidently, looking at his father, Barkus.
"And why are you so sure?" Barkus asked with curiosity, holding a water gun and glancing around.
"Because this is one of his favorite places. It's perfect for hiding. He used to hide here all the time—especially when you or Mom were ready to 'finish him off' for whatever stunt he'd pulled," Nyx explained with a smirk.
"So this is where he was hiding..." Barkus muttered, shaking his head. "And here we were, racking our brains trying to figure out where he kept disappearing to. He always slipped away if he sensed trouble was waiting for him at home... a little punishment for his mischief. And we never could find him."
"Daaad, pleaaase, have mercy!" Jenna suddenly cut in, barely holding back tears. Her eyes were glossy with exhaustion, and her voice trembled.
"My feet hurt! These shoes aren't made for forest trails at all. And I really don't want to ruin this outfit—I bought it with my own money!"
Barkus frowned and said sternly:
"I've already explained this to you more than once. This is your punishment. Deal with it."
Jenna sniffled but said nothing more. Her younger sister, Finley, walked beside her. Seeing how upset Jenna was, Finley gently patted her back in a comforting gesture.
They continued deeper into the woods, eyes scanning every bush with tense focus. Suddenly, Barkus halted and raised a hand.
"It's gotten too quiet... Weapons ready," he said cautiously.
Nyx instantly raised his water gun, bracing for action. Finley began lifting hers too—but she wasn't quick enough. Two thin jets of water hit her, knocking the gun right out of her hands.
At that very moment, two large water balloons came crashing down on Barkus and Nyx from above, drenching them from head to toe. Their clothes were instantly soaked. Only Jenna narrowly escaped the ambush—she had jumped aside in panic, desperate to protect her outfit.
"Ahhh! That's cold!" Finley screamed, clutching her chest. "Who did that?!"
She looked around and noticed a head poking out from behind the bushes. It was Colin—her younger brother, whom she often teased. But something was off. The head was too high up. Colin isn't that tall... she thought, stepping back nervously.
The next second, Leon stepped out from the bushes with Colin sitting triumphantly on his shoulders. The look on their faces was nothing short of victorious.
"Enjoying your revenge?" Leon asked, glancing up at the boy. Colin just giggled and fired another stream of water at Finley. She shrieked, trying in vain to dodge.
"That's for everything!" Colin shouted joyfully, savoring his triumphant assault.
"Guess she really gave him a hard time while I was gone..." Leon chuckled.
But before he could enjoy the moment, he suddenly felt a chill. Turning around, he saw Barkus and Nyx—now recovered and locked on target. Their water guns were raised, and their expressions said only one thing: payback time.
The battle was far from over.
What followed was a full-blown water war. Barkus and Leon clashed fiercely, as if it were their final showdown for ultimate dominance. Nyx jumped in from time to time—sometimes backing up his dad, other times switching to his brother's side, depending on who had the upper hand.
Finley, soaked to the bone, sprinted around the clearing trying to catch Colin and make him pay for soaking her. But the boy, squealing with delight, darted between trees and ducked behind bushes with expert agility.
Other participants soon joined the fray—Olivia and Angelica. Despite her efforts, Olivia kept getting hit, especially by Jenna. Noticing that Olivia was a commoner, Jenna began mocking her, aiming her shots with petty cruelty to "put her in her place."
But that didn't last long. Leon and Angelica, seeing Jenna getting a bit too smug, decided to put her in check. As if on cue, they hurled two heavy water balloons at her. One hit her square in the chest, the other struck her legs, knocking her down into the mud. The outfit she'd tried so hard to protect was ruined. Jenna screamed in shock and rage—but there was nothing she could do now.
Angelica, unlike everyone else, remained completely dry. No one dared to shoot at her. The reason was obvious—she was the daughter of a duke, while the Bartfort family, though respected, held only a baron's title. It bothered Angelica slightly: she felt left out of the fun—after all, no one dares to play with someone untouchable.
Just then, Leon suddenly appeared beside her—soaked, disheveled, but still brimming with confidence. He stopped, looked into her eyes, and said firmly:
"Angelica, I need you right now."
Before she could respond, he grabbed her hands. She looked at him in surprise, not quite understanding. A moment later, her cheeks turned red, and she stammered shyly:
"W-what are you... what do you mean?.."
Instead of answering, Leon placed his hands on her waist and pulled her close. His wet shirt clung to her dress. Angelica's heart began to race, her face flushing hot. Nearby, Olivia caught sight of the moment and stared with a hint of envy—but said nothing.
Leon, meanwhile, turned Angelica so that her back was to him, still holding her by the waist, and looked at Barkus, who was aiming his weapon.
"Well, old man? Take your shot!" he shouted. "If you've got the guts to fire, knowing exactly who you'll hit!"
Angelica, still blushing, bit her lip and looked away. But after a second, his words clicked. She raised an eyebrow and let out an annoyed sigh:
"Sorry, Angelica. My father and brother teamed up against me, and fighting both is tough... So I decided to use you as a human shield. No one would dare shoot you," Leon explained without a shred of shame.
Angelica let out a heavy sigh. So I misunderstood... she thought, a little disappointed. But... he is holding me pretty tightly... she realized unexpectedly. Her cheeks flared up again.
Trying to hide her embarrassment, she suddenly shot Leon in the face with her water gun.
"You deal with it yourself, hero," she snapped, stepping away.
But she barely made it three steps before a chill ran down her spine. Turning around, Angelica saw Olivia grinning as she aimed—and blasted her with a jet of water.
Angelica, without hesitation, smirked and returned fire. Their playful duel quickly brought them closer than any conversation ever could.
And so the wild water battle raged on until evening. Everyone, without exception, was soaked to the skin. Tired but happy, they made their way home.
