"YUMI!"

Tilly got the chills when she saw Kyro hugging Yumi’s lifeless body.

She knew that the two were enemies.

But, at that moment, all she could see were two unfortunate lovers played with by the gods.

"K-Kyro and Yumi really love each other," Tilly said between sobs. "I know they’ve done so many bad things to us and our family. But watching them now hurts."

After all, Yumi was a victim.

[Of course, I know that being a victim isn’t an excuse to hurt other people. However, I want to cry for her in the meantime.]

"I understand, Tilly," Kiho said, gathering her in his arms. "For the first time in a long while, I feel bad for my parents. I know that they hurt our family. But as their son, I couldn’t help but feel their pain at the moment."

Tilly nodded in agreement, and then she buried her face against Kiho’s chest while crying.

As a wife and as a mother, she felt Yumi’s pain.

"The Snake Goddess?"

Tilly turned to Kiho who looked shocked. "The Snake Goddess? Isn’t that Yumi’s title... oh."

[Is this how Yumi became a goddess?]

"What do you want, Moon God?" the Snake Goddess asked coldly. "You didn’t come to my lair just to slaughter my children, did you?"

"It’s time for you to shed your skin, isn’t it?" Kyro asked indifferently. "Kindly give me your shell and rest in peace now. You’ve already lived long enough anyway."

"That’s true. But I have no reason to give you my shell."

"I don’t care. Give it to me."

"Or else what?"

"You’ll join your children in the afterlife."

The Snake Goddess let out a hollow laugh. "How insolent."

Kyro let out a sigh. "I’m sorry, but I need your shell for my wife."

And then the two gods clashed.

However, Tilly and Kiho didn’t get the chance to witness the fight between the Moon God and the Snake Goddess.

The scenario changed once again, after all.

Tilly frowned at the blood that was ’sticking’ to their feet.
