Chapter 486: 472, he found out_1
“Xiya, “Okay, I understand. Thanks, Doctor.”
As she got up, Khan instinctively reached out to help her.
Walking out of the office, Xiya said, “I need to use the bathroom.”
“I’ll accompany you.”
“No need, you can wait for me here.”
Waiting by the entrance of the women’s bathroom was still somewhat ghastly, he thought.
Before he could reply, she grabbed her purse and left.
Khan watched her go, then turned back to the office.
“Doctor, I have a few things I would like to know.”
“Of course, what do you want to ask?”
“What do I need to be aware of while taking care of a pregnant woman? Should she have some tonics if she catches a cold?” Khan asked sincerely.
The doctor looked at him in surprise. Is this a male best friend?
“No problem, Miss just has a slight cold, replenishing too much is not good. As long as she has a balanced diet, avoid cold drinks at all costs.”
Deeply memorizing it, Khan asked, “Doctor, anything else I need to pay attention to?”
“Miss is probably more than six months pregnant, regular prenatal check-ups are necessary. There’s no need to be overly anxious,” said the patient doctor.
“More than six months?” Khan’s handsome face darkened, “Doctor, are you sure?”
More than six months, wasn’t that a month less than what Xiya had told him?
“I have been a doctor for more than thirty years, I’m old but my eyes are still good. It’s definitely more than six months. Did Miss not tell you?” the doctor said confidently.
“Doctor, are you certain?” Khan’s voice trembled with excitement.
The doctor didn’t understand why he suddenly got so excited but still patiently said, “If you don’t believe me, you can ask Miss later. After all, she’s the pregnant one, she must know better than anyone else.”
Khan’s eyes shone brightly, every cell in his body screaming.
The child was more than six months old.
That marked exactly when she had left, and before she left, they hadn’t taken any precautions during their last encounter.
Yes, it must be then.
That little liar Xiya, she actually dared to lie to him.
His child, it was his child!
He walked out waveringly, feeling somewhat floaty.
The sudden burst of joy made him feel like he could fly.
Their child, there was no way he was letting her go now.
Be damned with being friends, he didn’t want that.
He wanted her as his wife, as the mother of his child.
“Khan, what’s got into you?”

When Xiya came back from the bathroom, she saw him leaning against the wall, grinning foolishly.
Hearing her voice, Khan looked up at her. His passionate gaze gave Xiya goosebumps.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Xiya rubbed her arms, saying.
His gaze was somewhat terrifying.
Khan’s gaze shifted down to her round belly and he almost burst into laughter.
His little princess!
One must admit, the peculiar train of thoughts of Khan and Xiya were in sync.
Decisively, they both thought it was a little girl in the belly.
“Hey, you’re staring at my belly and laughing like a fool, what’s wrong with you?” Xiya pulled her coat tighter to shield his view.
Khan held back his emotions, not planning to confront Xiya yet, but he was now convinced that the child was his.
“Let’s go, let’s head back.” He reached out to help her, slowing down his pace.
Xiya looked at his side profile, utterly confused.
Why did he randomly act like that?
On the way back, Xiya had gotten used to his slow speed and directly dozed off.
Khan, driving with occasional glances at her, was feeling bubbly compared to his previous emotions.
After some time, the car stopped, but Xiya was fast asleep.
Khan quietly opened the car door and went around to pick her up.
He typed the code, carrying her into the house.
The decoration of the living room was dominated by cold colors, revealing a man lived there.
Carrying her upstairs, he went straight into his bedroom.
He laid her on the bed, sat down beside her and helped her remove her coat and shoes. Maybe due to the cold, Xiya didn’t wake up throughout.
Khan pulled the blanket over her, then sat down beside the bed.
He touched her cheek, his eyes filled with warmth. He couldn’t help bending down to lightly kiss her forehead.
He had forgotten how long it had been since he had been this close to her.
It felt like an eternity had passed.
Sitting straight, he gingerly laid his hand on her pregnant belly, a smile unconsciously creeping onto his lips.
My little princess, daddy will always be with mommy from now on, I won’t let mommy be heartbroken again.
An entire afternoon passed by, with Khan sitting by the bed absorbed in his happiness.
By the time Xiya woke up, it was already dark outside.
She rubbed her somewhat groggy head, feeling weak all over.
“Damn, is the cold getting worse?”
She sat up, preparing to get out of bed, when she suddenly realized that the bedsheet felt unfamiliar.
She looked up abruptly, scanning the room.
This was not her room.
What was going on?
Where was she?
She got out of bed, hastily put on her shoes, and then quickly strode out.
“Awake?”
Khan walked out of the kitchen just as he saw Xiya coming down the stairs.
“Take it slow, there’s no need to hurry. This is where I live.”
Watching her rapidly descending the stairs, Khan’s heart pounded with fear.
“How did I get here?” Xiya asked.
“You fell asleep in the car and I couldn’t wake you up, so I brought you here.” Khan walked over and was about to help her, but she avoided his touch.
A hint of regret flashed in Xiya’s eyes.
Why did she have to sleep so soundly?
“I’m okay. I’ll head back.”
Khan withdrew his hand, saying, “Sit for a while. It’s easy to worsen your cold if you head out immediately after waking up. I’ll make you some hot milk.”
Saying that, he led her to the sofa and sat her down.
Watching him walk into the kitchen, Xiya looked around the living room.
The sound of his footsteps approached, and Khan walked over with a glass of milk.
“Drink it while it’s hot. I’ve ordered dinner to be delivered. We should be able to eat soon.”
Xiya took the glass and quickly said upon hearing his words, “No need, I’ll eat back at my place.”
“I ordered dinner for two. If you don’t eat, it’s going to go to waste.” Khan said, “Also, the rain outside is getting heavier. Let’s eat first and I’ll take you home when the rain lets up.”
Meeting his hopeful eyes, Xiya distractedly sipped her milk and quietly agreed.
A satisfied smile appeared on Khan’s face and, spotting her without a coat, he quickly grabbed the remote and turned on the heat.
Noticing his careful actions, Xiya gave a faint smile.
Sitting across from her, Khan asked, “Would you like to eat some fruit?”
