The Vampire Noble commanding the Vanguard Army glanced at his colleagues, his expression cold and indifferent. Over a dozen minutes have passed since something attacked them.

Yet, they couldn't even find a shadow or figment of their adversaries. Whether it was a Jaeger or something else remained to be a troublesome mystery.

"Casualties?" He questioned his subordinates, who responded with vexation. The assaults throughout the city had been random and problematic.

"Nearly a hundred."

No matter what they did, the culprit seemed to be much faster than they were. No evidence was left behind. It was as though they were fighting against a ghost.

The battle against the Third Division hasn't even started yet. Casualties in the city are already almost reaching a hundred.

If a True Blood heard of their situation, heads would probably roll. As the commander, his neck was the first one in the guillotine.

"What about the investigation? Are there any results?" He inquired as his subordinate shook their heads. The investigation yielded no results.

"Nothing, Commander. Whoever attacked our men disappeared. A couple of minutes had already passed, and the city was calming down." A company leader glanced through the windows.

"Whatever or whoever they are... The mission in this city has been completed. We were nothing more than playthings to them."

The Paranormal Monsters, alongside their stealth capabilities, were also extremely powerful. Even when discovered, those who saw them would receive the same fates as the victims of the attacks.

Standing atop a gothic building, Yuki watched the gloomy cityscape clouded by the black storm. Her yukata fluttered as Ootakemaru materialized from behind.

"We can annihilate more Vampires in this city." He suggested, earning the attention of the ghost lady. An indifferent expression shrouded her face as she rejected his advice.

"The Spectres were given orders by Lord Oberon. It wasn't to annihilate the Vanguard Army, but cause trouble."

"There's no need to unveil the cards of our master. The less attention we have, the better. Do not forget, Demon God. We are the daggers of Lord Oberon."

"We aren't swords meant to be displayed in the open and admired by all. The Spectre drifts in the darkness, beheading the enemies of our master."

Yuki warned Ootakemaru, forcing him to back down. He clicked his tongue in annoyance as the Wraith Queen flickered into existence beside the two of them.

"Our mission here has already been completed. The Vanguard Army has already been distracted by us. They would be far more cautious than ever before, delaying the battle."

"This should be enough for the humans to prepare their defenses against the Vampires. They are fortunate to have been blessed by our master."

She continued, her hair dancing with the cold and silent breeze. In mere moments, the Spectres vanished from existence as though they were nothing but a nightmare or a myth.

Meanwhile...

Damien opened his eyelids, nodding in satisfaction. As expected of Yuki, she understood his intentions regarding the Vanguard Army.

While his monsters could annihilate them, it wouldn't do much other than further complicate the upcoming war. Besides, he needed to hide his cards as much as possible.

The only thing the Spectres needed to do was cause trouble. Nothing more, nothing less. At any rate, notifications bombarded him once again, chiming within his mind.
