Monster Gacha System: Becoming The Final Boss-Chapter 146 | True Bloods Confrontation
When the Vanguard Army of the Clan confronted the aftermath of the chaos brought about by the incursion of the Spectres. The Vampires weren't idle, especially when they heard the arrival of Block 7 on the frontlines.
One after another, True Bloods were being deployed. While the emergence of Block 7 and the strongest of humanity on the frontlines was troublesome, it was also an opportunity.
The White Devil was isolated from the federation and the Paragons. This would likely be their final and best opportunity to remove her from the board in the New World.
In the Forward-Operating Base of the Third Division, situated on the frontlines of the southern frontier. A gorgeous white-haired lady stood amongst the lively crowd of Jaegers.
Her eyebrows rose as she turned her attention towards the blurred lines of the horizon. She felt the presence of multiple True Bloods heading their way. It looks like the Clan wasn't pulling punches.
Glancing at her partner, Alastair remarked. "We attracted the attention of our opponents, Francine. Looks like the beginning of the confrontation would be much quicker than expected."
Francine turned her sapphire-like eyes in the same direction as her partner. She noticed the strong presence of True Bloods getting closer.
Her gaze sharpened as she muttered under her breath. "Should we evacuate the Forward-Operating Base?"
Besides the two of them, no one nearby would be able to handle the onslaught of multiple True Bloods. They would be nothing more than cannon fodder.
"The Forward-Operating Base has already been established. Besides, this is a war. We aren't only fighting against the True Bloods, but also the Vampires below them."
"The frontlines must be kept, so there's only one thing we can do."
Hearing the words of the strongest of humanity, Francine nodded in understanding and sighed to herself. She never expected that once she recovered, she would be battling True Bloods.
But there was also a sense of excitement surging from the bottom of her heart. She wanted to clash against these Vampires and defang them.
"Let us confront them."
Alastair fractured while Francine disappeared from existence. The two of them bolted hundreds of kilometers in an instant, arriving within a desolate plain that expanded dozens of kilometers across.
Their posture was straight and confident.
The White Devil's silver hair danced with the breeze, and the same could be said of the Rogue Blade's jet-black hair. They were the strongest members of Block 7.
One was the strongest of humanity, while the other was someone capable of rivalling the best Paragons in the New World.
In mere moments, several individuals emerged from nothing. These were the True Bloods of the Clan: Duke December, Duke September, Duke October, Marquis June, and Marquis May.
It was five against two.
"It has been a while, you bats." Alastair's supple lips curled into an arrogant smile. She had already fought against most of these individuals and defeated them.
The only reason they were alive was that the progenitor saved them when she was about to throw the killing blow.
"White Devil..." Duke December furrowed his eyebrows, remembering the humiliation he had gone through after being defeated by her during the Revolution.
The debt must be paid in full.
"Separate the two of them." He ordered Marquis May, who promptly activated her True Blood. As her crimson eyes shone with brilliance, the world split in half.
Alastair was dragged into another dimension while Francine was left behind with Duke September standing in front of her.
Francine wasn't surprised by the tactic of the True Bloods, as she would have done the same thing if she tried fighting the progenitor. Taking a deep breath, her Zweihander materialized.
Her Brand was activated, causing the heavens above to radiate warmth. The weight of the skies permeated throughout the desolate landscape, to which Duke September acknowledged.
"As expected of the White Devil's Second-In-Command..." He mumbled to himself before utilizing his True Blood. Pointing at her, reality was cleaved into separate halves.
The world lost its color, yet the golden brilliance of the heavens persisted in the grayish reality.
Francine blocked the spatial slashes with her Zweihander and felt their power, capable of dividing mountains into two separate halves. But she wasn't bothered by such power. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
After all, she could do the same with ease.
Instead, she was intrigued by the capabilities of Duke September. What he had done was what swordmasters throughout the New World dreamed of accomplishing.
It appears that his True Blood allowed him to slice space, which would ignore the defenses of others.
Francine held her gargantuan blade tightly and swung it towards the Duke September. The weight of the skies descended onto the earth.
The moment the edge of her Zweihander was pointed onto the ground, the heavens carved the desolate plains as though an invisible hot knight was cleaving through butter.
Duke September barely dodged the attack, raising his eyebrows. It wasn't an attack he could defend without taking damage, which was troublesome.
This meant that there was only one thing he could do against the Rogue Blade, and that was keep attacking.
Without any hesitation or delay, he bolted towards the gorgeous lady and cut through the space of her body. But her Zweihander blocked the spatial slash, halting its path.
However, Duke September didn't stop and kept throwing cuts towards Francine. He bombarded her with thousands of spatial slashes, intending to increase her pressure and exhaust her.
Francine dodged and blocked the thousands of spatial slashes, recognizing the cutting capabilities of the True Blood in front of her.
Their surroundings were carved up with deep ridges, the result of the Rogue Blade deflecting the spatial slashes. The landscape was shaped by their clashes, leaving behind scars that would be felt for centuries to come.
But it was merely the beginning of their battle.
"I can't keep being passive." Francine narrowed her sapphire-like eyes and disappeared. She became a blur, so fast that Duke September could barely keep up with her after-images.
She reappeared beside him and slashed her Zweihander towards his neck.
Meanwhile...
In the Forward-Operating Base, the Jaegers gathered together, their expressions anxious. After all, in the center was a lone giant man. Someone whom they had never seen before, yet felt familiar.
Hecate pushed through the gathered Jaegers and saw a giant who resembled Damien. But how could he be her partner? The man towered over everyone.
Unexpectedly, the giant man waved his hand towards the crimson-haired vampire, a subtle smile plastered across his face. It was then she finally realized.
"Damien?"
"Yeah, it's me... Took you long enough, Hecate." Damien smirked at his partner, who was thoroughly dumbfounded by his transformation.
He couldn't fault her for it since he wouldn't be able to recognize himself.
"Damn, what the hell happened to you? Is this what humans call late puberty?" Hecate tilted her head, confused by the alteration of her partner. If she wanted to look him eye-to-eye.
She would have to lift her head up, which felt strange.
"Where's Miss Alastair and Francine?" Damien inquired, prompting the crimson-haired vampire to narrow her gaze. She glanced in a certain direction and replied.
"They went to confront a group of True Bloods."
"I see... It seems that they immediately made their move after realizing that Block 7 was on the frontlines, separated from the Greater SIGIL."
Damien sighed to himself and gazed upon the blurred horizon in the distance. "Wanna come with me, Hecate? While they are handling the True Bloods, how about we roughen up the Clan?"
His words made the crimson-haired vampire's lips curl into a smirk. The status display hovered beside him, preparing to summon the monster army once again.
